Good shouts here again, touch wood you are flying PD,headgear will be on Wishes and Dreams next time, touch of the 'Paula radcliffes' with it.
Navan bumper tomorrow is a fascinating race,a horse bought for 500k after point win, a couple of dual winners,it is on looks a very good listed bumper.
Tarnova has caught my imagination, started of winning a 7f barrier trial at Dundalk and followed up last month in a Punchestown bumper, quite impressive i thought from her. Halford i don't think ever has a jumper(someone can correct me) his son(?) on tomorrow, not sure about the ground at all,i am hoping they go steady, think at 10/1 she is a sporting ew against the 8/15 fav. A race to watch in any case.

Ok I could be wrong here but I'll take the chance at prices.
Looks like they had this in mind, very difficult first handicap run.
Will have to stay well here and on heavy ground.
Caught on the run in soft Killbeggan 2m race with the rest strung out.
Was done for speed but I think not stamina, off course this will be truly run.
So if not too heavy, if stamina holds, and up in class a bit, ha I'll take 25s or so.
Still going through card.12" 45 Bayou Belle 22\1 p!us ??? 5 places Ok I could be wrong here but I'll take the chance at prices.Looks like they had this in mind, very difficult first handicap run. Will have to stay well here and on heavy ground.Caug
^ Ran well and looked as if it could possibly win between the last 2, didn't get home, 7th i think. Better ground on an easy 2 miles, maybe Thurles or Clonmel in another poor race could get a win.

I'm very tough race Troytown, I have a good record in it tho, put up last year's winner on here.
Hollow Games 8\1.
3rd in Galway plate, was out asleep finished very well from off the pace a touch. Heavy, extra half mile will suit, put away for this, surely.
Largy Debut 12\1
2nd in Munster National soft, Travelled well in dcent field, caught on run in for speed, will be heavier ground today, " might help"
Fakir Dalene 50\1
hard to get this lad right, will like ground and trip, off 19 months, low weight.

A mighty run off the front, I can tell you my heart was actually thumping there.
Small bbbbboooooommmmmmmmmm
Turned a profit on the race, which is what it's about.
Other tell at first too, could easily have had winner instead, same formline, ha that's racing

Have to pop out briefly, one in two races a little bit later, post them soonish, if anyone cares
So this is how I play these and I'll just stick with that.
Some might say pay the fav, others it's Weld, are you mad.
4 units bet, one on Donnachas at 4/\ here
and then one each on Joseph's three that I expect I'll get about 16\1 each, maybe 20\1 maybe 14\1 , I'll make a tiny adjustment to equalise return,
So 5 units return, 17 units return, or not.

Morgiana,Flooring Porter,a Mullins Haydock raid,v decent Ascot card for tomorrow. Sunday John Durkan, top racing weekend for anyone with the slightest interest in racing. Like Dundalk as the form is solid enough, not tonight though. Did Eagles Realm in the last at Southwell at a bit better price, think 2/1 not much juice in that, he did have a fair bit in hand when winning last time out and dossed a bit. Have my eye on one Sunday and will wait til a market up.
Good luck PD, decent thread re racing.

A poor night so, I pushed the boat a little tbh, no worries.
Yes nice racing weekend Pa, will enjoy, I'm not mad about all weather.
I'll have a little look now at Southwell last.

You had a nice run going PD,they were all running well, never lasts and we all go cold, damage limitation then and step back for a bit.
AW not usual for me but thought that one did it well as said, they don't all run same way twice though as you know,i'd be disappointed if it at least wasn't near.
Never change PD,'they' are after ya on here.

Yesterday was my first poor performance on this thread.
Not because of the losers but because of the process, I know I fooked up.
I had a think about and know what happened.
I had a tooth pulled yesterday, but more to the point, I visited someone Wednesdays and are gluten.
Should have known better as it sets me off and I don't sleep great and develop cramp etc..
Though it's all a bit of fun I just don't like getting unnecessary losers, I don't like a losing year either and try not let that happen ever. Had many off course in the past, all part of the learning process.
My last really bad run was over 4 years ago and in the end, 4 months of hell, I was shot, I had no faith whatsoever, it wasn't panic, just 36 losers consecutively, fell at first, fell at last, left in stall, thrown out, you name it, had 17 seconds in that run.
I broke it with a 16\1 shot followed by a 33\1 shot, crazy stuff.
Anyways, up early today, focus is back, let's see.
Keep on rockin lads

Unlucky with the loose one annoying him,i laid it earlier in the thread and it behaved like a saint, backed it today and was the devil i knew.
That way maybe, or the wide open space of Punchestown in that he ran a shocker before there as well.
He did better than Shiskin, sickener for short priced backers

I backed that all the way up to 6'2 double my stake then laid halve back at 4.7 before the off, so I've had a little touch me old cockers, waited all day.
bbbbbbbbboooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Straight back in the winners enclosure
Pecked Knew !!

^ The weather is conducive to only small peckers, bitter out.
Horse i said Friday i was keeping a close eye on is Shadow Rider 3.00 Punch, i'm not going to back him,was hoping for double figures and a gen 6/1 has no appeal. Every race he has run well been backed and drifted badly on the 'not today'. Quite a classy race for its type and a few dangers, wait another day but will watch him closely.
Housemartin 1.10 Cork gen 5/2 will be main hope today, negatives, lot more weight,9lb and 7lb claimer than Clonmel, not as heavy as there either. The positives are plenty, still a weak race(80-109), very few form dangers,Bukhill and Dgalwaygallivantor seem to me the 2 most likely, an awful lot have shown very little. Manner of that Clonmel win was impressive,a distance between 2nd and 3rd,(dontdooddson 4th 40 lths behind) ground was extreme but even so. Hoping after that he is still improving.
GL if you are having a punt today.

Yes went off very short, not sure making the running was a plus, mightn't be as good as i thought tbh.
Disappointed with the ride on Housemartin,a bit more positive and probably would have won,ah well, way it goes.
Some shock results today.

They've had this over the wrong trips 2m and soft going , now recently corrected that, led and rallied final furlong last time, hopefully the tack makes the difference tonight, has low draw too,not that important over 1m4 but leaves no excuses. I'd expect this to be bang there in an ordinary affair.

Ran well, head a bit wayward up the straight, a strong ew bet in hindsight.
Weather may cancel a few meetings, looks a prolonged cold snap.
Thurles tomorrow could well be the Mullins show again, had Cleatus Poolaw in the tracker but will let that pass being up against a Joe Donnelly Frenchie.
Can't see anything other than the blatantly obvious Herculaneum in the last,11/4 will do.

I made a conscious decision years ago not to their ew gets at the 567\1 odds, at 14s and above I might, but I'll want 4 places and the 1\4 odds first.
I did a study and decided that it's not advantageous in the long run, I prefer to have that extra stake straight on the nose, proved more beneficial long term, assuming you know your strike rate. I'll get 30 winners from 100 bets, near all day long, at over 3\1.
Different strokes Etc

You aren't alone, good thread on the HR forum years ago (Ryanwe) and i couldn't argue against the logic that was put up,saying that PP were going 4 places on that race tonight and if you had an account and not limited it was a no brainer.
Any interest in 'fantasy' runs the same way as a book ie maybe 1170 entrants and a 1000 entrance paid out? For small money a good interest in football,NBA and NFL 'comps'. Guilty pleasure on the Sunday NFL, plenty of small returns but nothing major {as of yet}

It's always interesting Pa, I've read loads of books and as a (shop mgr) settler\accountant I'm
Embedded in the numbers, I obviously do form, so much of it, 25 years ago I'd be doing maybe 6 hours some days between working and getting on track(alot) it's bloody tough.
I had accounts with everyone, credit ones too, if desired.
It never lasts long, they knock you back in stake and or price, was a joke tbh.
I've far from cracked but I'm good enough to survive with a few bonus years thrown in.
I looked forward to NFL Sundays before I got ill but haven't bothered since we time needs prioritising more and more, it is however a good medium to bet.
You do need to be all over it and bet decent amounts but the very tight books, so some value around, and in running can be good if you have followed it.
Basically, my betting has evolved to not betting as every edge I ever had was undermined eventually, or pretty darn quick these days.
As long as I have fun and done lose my nuts in happy, but I'll always always keep track, I hate a losing year.

You're a fairly serious operator, wheat from the chaff easily sorted out, your results are impressive on the thread.
Fair play to the politic lads, no one has said a word re moving it to hr,i like the thread as said and the contributions from you and Shiny.
Have a small bit of history in the industry myself albeit just a few years, a startling eyeopener, the money spoke, the information between the lines was something else, personally a great period for me but saw an ugly side too.
As you say the 'fun' or keeping it real the main thing, enjoy the good days making a few bob and not worry about a little loss
