Again, you realise that the entire chat is available to be re-read? He took offence to the suggestion that lawyers en masse actively tell their clients to pretend being Christians. Maybe he has lawyer family or, unlike you, is someone who doesn't very evidently have problems with certain career choices, contrary to your repeated, transparent virtual signalling to the contrary.
I hope you realise that is distinct from clients telling their lawyers they are Christians or looking to convert. Something PorcupineorPineapple at no point argued against. |

It's palpably entirely possible that this animal 'turned to Christianity' to avoid deportation. As I said at the beginning, I do not know in this case for sure. However, I do know thousands of illegal immigrants have been pointed toward that tactic by their state funded lawyers. I do know therefore that, whilst it is being reported that he is a Christian (within hours of hacking toddlers in a playground), it's entirely feasible that Christianity is not his underlying ideology.

Do you, or he (quite possibly they) feel that it's entirely plausible that this animal is not a genuine, believing Christian. And that either that option was suggested to him by a lawyer, NGO or other sources in order to try and manipulate the system?

It's called cognitive ability, edy. It's quite possible that you have some of that too. It isn't really that challenging to work out that illegal immigrants, appealing deportation, have found 'Christianity' whilst they are in europe, and could therefore then be claiming that they could not be deported due to the threat of persecution aren't actually genuine Christians.
It's the same sort of challenge as working out for yourself that thousands of people (mostly young men), who are safely on the borders of France having travelled thousands of miles to be safe, are then choosing to leap into a dingy and head into the open sea, aren't actually fleeing France to save their lives at a cost to them of thousands of euro. And are in fact taking that additional risk and expense as if they get halfway to the UK there is a fair chance that they will then get free healthcare, pocket money, dentistry, pizzas, three meals a day, wifi, and a £150 a night room in a nice hotel. And never be sent home. You see, I don't think they are at that point of leaping into a dingy to cross the open sea, fleeing for their lives. I think it's a rational risk/benefit calculation on their part. I do not need to see it written down on a piece of paper, to know it is happening. |
|
By:
Oh, and for me it's not hard to conclude either that illegal immigrants are a cash cow for immigration lawyers. That funnily enough, the incentive is there for them to keep the cash cow going for as long as possible, never ending appeals etc. Collateral impacts and cost to the native population are a least of their concern.

That's a lot of defelctive text to just say "I don't actually have the knonwledge I pretended to have". My turn to answer now:
I believe, but certainly do not know as I do not conflate knowledge with very own not necessarily deeply factually based assumption and belief, it is possible that this person was not a "genuine, believing Christian". Though of course the bible is one heck of a hellaciously violent and obscene book, so it would not surprise me either if people have their own interpretation that justifies discrimination and plain violence. I furthermore believe, but certainly do not know as I do not conflate knowledge with very own not necessarily deeply factually based assumption and belief, that it can and probably has happened that the mentioned participates tell migrants to game the system. The lawyers by far however being the least likely of mentioned perpetrators. |

You know, these people travel in groups. They will largely prepare to an extend before even traveling. They have internet where they can read all of our musings on how to best cheat the system if one wants to do so. They are professionally trafficked. Yet they arrive without a clue, without a plan, without the slightest idea and it is apparently largely up to the nefarious lawyers who have to tell their clients "No no no no no no no no no no no no, what in the name of all things rainbows and unicorns is wrong with you? You are not Ali, a faithful Iranian Shia that is perfectly in line with the theocracy there. You are Peter, a faithful white male Christian from a western country like the USA. Everybody knows nobody on this planet is more persecuted than a white male Christian in the USA."?

Perhaps pineapple and edy will offer Cider an apology ..
It just takes a little bit of common sense that’s all to understand that you can’t trust anyone - even lawyers And especially leftie ones |
|
By:
Before I post the apology, can you do a fabrication like Cider repeatedly did earlier in this thread to showcase a quote of mine where I said it wasn't happening at all?
|

By:
I’m sure you didn’t - and cider never said it always happened
Or even happened in this particular case He was merely pointing out that it was possible that lawyers were and could act in a corrupt and dishonest way regarding bogus asylum claims |

No, he's at the forefront of deliberately mislabeling and defaming a lot of unrelated things under a term that he chose because he thought it will sound scary to some.
It's not too dissimilar to shouting "SOCIALISM" for....a lot of things that have very little to do with socialism. |
|
By:
But you anglophones are incredibly ....eccentric regarding stuff like that.
|
|
By:
Or not too dissimilar to what Trump suggested in the clip I posted either. Stuff is just deliberately mislabeled "woke woke woke" because it's meant to sound ever so scary or crazy and half the time people don't even quite know why.

I can have Rufo gloat it out to you in yet more specific terms if you don't have the intention to research this yourself even though you have repeatedly shown concern regarding what he chose to manipulate you with.
Christopher F. Rufo @realchrisrufo The goal is to have the public read something crazy in the newspaper and immediately think "critical race theory." We have decodified the term and will recodify it to annex the entire range of cultural constructions that are unpopular with Americans. 8:17 PM · Mar 15, 2021 https://twitter.com/realchrisrufo/status/1371541044592996352 Christopher F. Rufo @realchrisrufo 2. I am quite intentionally redefining what "critical race theory" means in the public mind, expanding it as a catchall for the new racial orthodoxy. People won't read Derrick Bell, but when their kid is labeled an "oppressor" in first grade, that's now CRT. 2:30 PM · Mar 25, 2021 https://twitter.com/realchrisrufo/status/1375077707009024002 |

By:
I see, it's the leftie 'words mean what we say they mean' argument.
'Diversity', 'equity', 'white privilege' 'systemic racism' is all part of the same hustle. Putting it all under CRT is perfectly reasonable. Any complaints you or the woke sites you linked have is just pedantry. |
|
By:
Of course words have a meaning, yes.
Play a thought experiment with you. Suddenly, say....Russians start deliberately redefining and deliberately mislabeling all sorts of things as e.g "nazism" with the clear and transparent attempt to manipulate people. Others point out what a huge load of nonsense it is. Do you also go and say "Oh I see. Nazism is suddenly only what the LEFTIES say it is. Who are the lefties to decide that Boris Johnson is not a full-fledged hardcore Nazi because...because after all, he....he........well because!?! Shut up lefties!" |
|
By:
It is quite amazing and astonishing that Rufo can gloat about his manipulation so transparently, that he can literally tell folks he is redefining CRT as a scary/crazy sounding umbrella term for all things not-CRT, and people like you are just putting up the blinkers big time.

What's it with you people and your strong disregard for words? Cider, after endlessly moaning about marxism being the end game of T-H-E-M, was one day told it was actually THE GREAT RESET that was coming and when prompted on it
edy • March 12, 2022 8:56 PM GMT I'm kind of disappointed the end game is The Great Reset instead of marxism now. he said (quite similar to his remarks "it doesn't matter what label you put on it" earlier in this thread) Cider • March 12, 2022 8:59 PM GMT does it matter what you call it? regular peoples' lives are going to get worse, pretty quickly. edy • March 12, 2022 9:05 PM GMT Uhm...yeah, it kinda does matter when things have outlined objectives and definitions. I mean, you don't go having this conversation, do you Cider: "They want MARXISM!!!" Other person: "How so" Cider: "Install marxism" Other person: "How's that look like?" Cider: "They want to make people's lives worse!" Other person: "Oh, like in completely unchecked capitalism" Cider: "Same thing really. What's it matter what we call it? Capitalism, Marxism, Great Reset, Neoliberalism...all the same thing." ...actually you are probably just the kind of person who would have that conversation. |

that he can literally tell folks he is redefining CRT as a scary/crazy sounding umbrella term for all things not-CRT,
Still not getting your point. Seems Rufo collates all the woke crap theories and practices related to race and helpfully assigns it all under one term. Whether it is 'correctly labelled' or not is neither here nor there. Maybe you could explain the profound differences advocates of CRT have with other Woke race theories? |

The suspect in a knife attack in which four toddlers and two pensioners were wounded in the southeastern French town of Annecy on Thursday has been placed in detention, the local prosecutor said on Saturday.
The suspect, a Syrian refugee born in 1991, is under formal investigation for attempted murder and resisting arrest with a weapon, the prosecutor said. The injured are no longer in critical condition, Annecy Prosecutor Line Bonnet-Mathis told a news conference, adding that the four children were still in hospital. The stabbing was the first violent attack targeting children since 2012, when gunman Mohamed Merah shot three Jewish children and one of their parents, and then three soldiers, in Toulouse in 2012. The suspect has chosen not to speak while in police custody and when presented before judges, the prosecutor said. He was examined by a psychiatrist who considered that he was fit to be held in custody. Drug and alcohol tests were negative. "Presently it is premature to assess his motivations," Bonnet-Mathis said, reiterating that there was no indication yet that terrorism was the assailant's motivation. BFM television said the suspect was being held in solitary confinement at Aiton prison in the region of Savoie, some 80 km (49.71 miles) from Annecy. The suspect was granted asylum in Sweden 10 years ago, having arrived from Turkey. The prosecutor said the man was believed to be married with a young child. He entered France in October 2022, having travelled through Italy and Switzerland, she said, adding that he had no police record in France and was thought to be homeless. His request for asylum in France was refused on the grounds that Sweden had already approved one. Witnesses told investigators that they heard the suspect call out for "his wife, his daughter" and shouted "Jesus Christ", the prosecutor added. On his arrest, police found a folding knife, two Christian faith images, a cross as well as cash and a Swedish drivers' licence. |

Lawyers charging £10,000 to make fake asylum claims: Special investigation exposes staff at immigration law firms briefing clients on how to LIE to the authorities to win the right to stay in Britain
Legal advisers agreed to help a reporter posing as a migrant get refugee status. Lawyers are charging thousands of pounds to submit false asylum and human rights claims for illegal immigrants. Staff at solicitors’ firms readily agreed to help an undercover Mail reporter posing as an economic migrant get refugee status. This was despite being told he had no legitimate reason to stay in the UK after arriving on a small boat. VP Lingajothy asked for £10,000 to invent a horrific back story to use in the asylum application. This included claims of sexual torture, beatings, slave labour, false imprisonment and death threats that left him suicidal and compelled to flee to the UK. The legal adviser promised he could get a doctor’s report to back up the story and produced anti-depressants to be given to the Home Office as ‘evidence’ of psychological trauma. .https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12333013/Immigration-law-firms-LIE-authorities-win-asylum.html Oh dear. |
