As part of his plan to cling on to power the fat liar will be wanting to replace Rishi and Saj by tomorrow but the gene pool is looking very shallow.
No one of any standing will agree to join this Cabinet of Shame so he is left with people like Raab, Truss & Patel. I expect Shapps to be promoted. |

You're right about that cider. Whether it was a good thing, I'm not so sure. Things are very difficult now for businesses with the amount of red tape and staff shortages caused by brexit - and fuel prices, which can't be laid at the door of brexit, in all honesty - but all the lies and deceipt have been damaging to the country, i don't think that is in doubt, really.
The vast majority of the issues in the economy have been caused by the cost of lockdown, some in part due to wilful sanctions, and some due to EU intransigence. I assume other third parties trade with countries like China and the US with minimal inconvenience. We are not in control of EU bitterness. There's no intrastat reporting, no MOSS, no EU sales submissions, no eu tax rates, a simplified VAT on imports scheme, for GB. However, no doubt there are complications for specific exporters. After 40 years of entwinning, it won't be unravelled in a year. It will take iteration. One of this government's failures is to take advantage of Brexit. They get some leeway due to covid taking up bandwidth, but that excuse has now long gone. VAT is maintained on domestic energy bills for example, nobody knows exactly why. |

I can't see any of the others stepping in to take these jobs. They'll have weighed up their futures very carefully and will be delighted to jump this sinking ship!
Oh let joy be unconfined. Can't wait to see and hear his bitterness during his resignation speech. There is one certain thing about a prime minister which simply can't be changed - he can't govern without ministers!!! |

There are certain jobs British people will not do. Perhaps they can offer the Exchequer to a Dinghy migrant?
