The bigger picture in the whole censor vaccine disinformation is that everyone who wanted the vaccine has already had it. Joe Rogan hasn't stopped anyone from getting the vaccine, this was all settled months ago, those who aren't vaccinated never wanted it or were going to get ut in the first place. It's a lot of fuss over nothing really.

The great counterculture rock star is now cancel culture. Neil Young joined The Freedom of Speech Tour in 2006 and now he wants to censor opinions he doesn't like. He's not sticking it to The Man he actually wants to give The Man more power. He's using his elite privilege to try and get a corporation to censor interviews that upset him. He doesn't even understand that you counter talk you disagree with, with more talk not less. What's funny is that when faced with 'Neil Young or Rogan' they told Neil Young to .... ...

Spotify have handled this appallingly and only have themselves to blame. Could have just made a token gesture, eg putting a warning on Rogan's podcasts. Something easy like that but they've refused to budge and suddenly Neil Young is in the news for the first time in 25 years.
Two big things though. Firstly, some cloth-eared dolts might not like him but there's a hell of a lot of artists out there who really look up to him and saw him as a big influence. When Joni joined in it is doubly so. There won't be many American rock musicians over the last 30 years or so who didn't grow up with them on the wireless. Secondly, it's now transcended to the main issue. Spotify being robbing, capitalist scumbags and the musicians seeing their income from record sales disappear to a pittance while the platform makes billions. Watch them give £100m to this guy to be a pub bore for an hour while they have to get 300 listens of a song to earn a single dollar. There's another band called Belly (they're ace too btw) who aren't able to remove their music yet. Should check out their spotify page though. We've had a year of the likes of Tom Grey from Gomez here trying to make a change and this feels as close to a watershed as we've had and might see a break through. Big rumours that Foo Fighters might be next and that would be really significant as they post some real big numbers on there. Spotify's value has already dropped 25% and them going could be another huge dent. Popcorn ready chaps. |

How can you describe Rogan as a pub bore when your politics won't allow you to even discover what he does? I don't listen to him either, so I am as ignorant as you are and unqualified to label him as anything. There are a hell of a lot of people who do listen to him though.

Good on Joni and Neil for not allowing their music to be on these nutters’s platform. I had no idea even what Spotify was before the great Joni made her point. But I would support others taking a principled stand against a platform that like others takes advantage of the ludicrous situation that anything that is posted or churned out, however evil or ludicrous, is “not my fault guv” when other forms of publishing or media are held accountable. |

I am not sure to be honest if we have come across the 1 in 20 NHS staff in England who are not vaccinated, I guess it would be something like 1 in 40 who are in direct contact with patients, according to Savid Javid.
