The hard rock/metal side of things, rather than hard indie/art rock.
Def Leppard - Die Hard the Hunter Big Star - In the Street Boomtown Rats - Someone's Looking At You Faith No More - A Small Victory Frank Black - Robert Onion Future of the Left - The Hope That House Built Led Zeppelin - Immigrant Song Living Colour - Cult of Personality Metallica - Orion Nirvana - Come As You Are Pantera - Cowboys From Hell Pearl Jam - Corduroy Pixies - Gouge Away QOTSA - No One Knows Screaming Trees - Nearly Lost You Slayer - Seasons in the Abyss Smashing Pumpkins - Geek USA Soundgarden - Head Down Suicidal Tendencies - Lost Again Van Halen - Panama Be a decent compilation album that. The correct answer though, even if it straddles the boundaries between rock and good pop is Yes by McAlmont & Butler (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyrnjJ-sMEE) |

Personal one for me as their other one (Mondays) was the first single I ever bought. Bought this one too and I still have it on rotation in my car. It's just an absolute belting rock song with a great hook. That's what it's all about.

And sorry, not taking criticism from the guy who nominated Journey and Boston and picked a piss poor Roxy Musci song when they did so many great ones.

"New Sensation" is a song by the Australian rock group INXS.
It was the third single from their 1987 album Kick. The music was written by Andrew Farriss and the lyrics by Michael Hutchence. The song reached no. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, no. 9 in Australia, no. 25 in the UK, and no. 8 on the Album Rock Tracks in the US. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Sensation |

am i allowed pick something by phil collins?
|
|
By:
Plus one for "Heroes". credit David Bowie 50%, Robert Fripp 40%, Brian Eno 10% but doubt the royalties work out that way.
