Good morning 19,a professor said it so i presume it is a guessimation,it does seem very plausible.
I think you have a point with that,people after a few in pubs certainly,you see noses and people putting their hand on the mouth part of the mask a lot. |

Most people wear them responsibly though,they just use the loops and put it in a plastic bag after use,in theory if used properly they should undoubtably help in lowering people catching it.
You aren't wrong in that there is quite a fair few people who are clueless with them. I won't be surprised if the issue of what you are saying comes to light shortly. |

I have seen a few people with disposable masks,and they are "walking" ie getting fierce milage out of them dispite not being their purpose.

Is it a big enough sample size, is 50% under 30s representative, why would the risk of catching it at home be so small compared with hospitality? |
