erm this is a bit baffling are Labour doing better in the South maybe , i still think the midlands and the northern working class provincial towns will be absolutley crucial
|
|
By:
The big issue is are the Labour voters who voted to leave going to stay with Labour ?
|
|
By:
Also if there is a big turnout of youngsters and first time voters what effect will that have
|
|
By:
I still think a spiv majority looks most likely but who knows
|

Steven Swinford, the deputy editor of The Times, took a picture of a ‘100 plus’ queue in the marginal seat of Battersea, where Labour gained from the Conservatives by a margin of 2,416 votes in 2017. He tweeted: ‘Big queue of 100+ people ahead of me at the polling station in marginal Battersea There’s 50 odd people behind me too.’

For some of the youth not only is it the first time they've voted it's also the first time they've switched the Xbox off and gone outside

I've a feeling there will be a very small percentage of Labour leave voters in north england / midlands who have said they'll vote Tory this time and when they get into the booth, just won't do it..... "f*ck Brexit, it will go on for years anyway, cant do it".
Also there is so a small percentage of permanently disaffected voters who always vote out the sitting government. Its more fun. These are small percentages but all add up...... might cause more tightening-up. |

@stephenfry · 1h Halfway through the voting day. If you haven't yet & it's cold, wet and windy where you are - all the more glory in setting out, head down, buffeted by a howling gale, to make your mark on paper & on history. Go forth! It. Is. Your. Destiny. Luke. #actualnamemayvary |

1h Replying to @Ashworth101 I actually got quite emotional this lunchtime when I saw swathes of young adults walking in and out of my local polling station. |

Whatever the result today the tories are toast in the future - they are done #youthvote

What's racist about stating the truth about the control exerted by Mr Mohammads on their families regarding their votes. Are you really so naive to think their wives, sons and daughters have a say in the matter.

"narrthern leavers vote leave, but raab, patel, ids etc want to inflict more of it on them"
Don't blame the northern leave voters for their only being one party that is offering to deliver on their vote. The Labour Party left the Labour Leave voters, not the other way round. |

Dec 12, 2019 -- 2:35PM, ImSoLuckyLucky! wrote: Can someone clarify the rulesThere are 650 seatsTories need 326 to win?Correct!!! Yes, 326 needed to settle majority as the winner. But the Tories will form a government with 321 unless Sinn Fein turn up to stop them -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't think so. I think its 325. 650 seats but speaker does not count according to Betfair rules below (fair enough) - so that's 649 seats making 325 an overall majority. Is there a reason why they don't just say a party needs to get 325 (or 326 ) seats? Sometimes these political markets are too ambiguous. Thought it was disgraceful didn't settle when May resigned as Tory leader but didnt pay out, included her term as caretaker PM - clearly wrong. Which party will gain an overall majority of parliamentary seats at the next UK general election? This market will be turned in-play at the start of voting on the day of the next general election. Customers are entirely responsible for their positions at all times. The Speaker will not be classified as belonging to any particular party, and will therefore not be counted in any individual party's seat totals. |

enpassant, how did you vote then tory or labour

Ah - cancel above - think I'm wrong. Speaker is a seat so therefore 326 is needed.
But same point - why not just publish the number needed ? Ambiguity again in these political markets when can be easily clarified. |

so youre a leaver who agrees with more dither and delay and another referendum
