While this is only a poll and should always be taken with a huge pinch of salt, it has had its uses.

Firstly, it was a direct response to May's televised speech. I'm guessing, pretty much a response to her "I'm with you" line. Soon after throwing our remotes at the telly, people wanted to show that she didn't actually get who we were at all. She miscalculated badly with that. Her party knows it and the country knows it.

Secondly, it's shown up the pro-brexit walkers as the ultra-small time rabble they are. Quite funny if not much else. You have Farage talking about majorities while he comes in on his private jet, gets someone to hold his hat and coat while he walks a couple of hundred yards and then p!sses off to his next free lunch (how people haven't seen through his act continues to astound me. Psychology students could have a field day focusing on people's will to follow his words but turn a blind eye to his actions).
But in the meantime you have the biggest ever poll and second biggest ever public demonstration.

Thirdly though, it has concentrated minds. We've had the first government minister come out and say he would be happy to revoke Article 50. He's been in a seat which has been tory since the beginning, but whose majority was down to 3,000 at the last election. The population there overwhelmingly voted remain and now over a third have signed this poll. If there's a bit more strategic voting in key tory and labour seats that are communicated back to the sitting MPs then it could give them an interesting choice. Vote for brexit but know that it'll be one of the last votes you'll make as an MP.

The brexit sh!tehawks will continue cribbing, trying to de-legitimise it, without understanding it properly but it is clearly having an effect and suddenly the pressure is coming from the remain side of the country rather than the ERG.

she was right about the majoirty of  mps are to blame for this mess because they simply dont want to leave and honour the 2016 vote, but as a PM you cant blame other people you have to get on with it, may is the only PM of recent times that has been tested so much and she has done a great job in staying there but her time is nearly  up i fear, them million or so marchers doesnt reflect what the country thinks as a whole anyone who thinks that is deluded  im affraid

Well, any independent person would look at Farage's thin grey line of ramblers and then look at the demo in London. It would be difficult not to draw conclusions.

Am I naive or is there only one petition to sign, is there one that 17.4 million can sign?

neither makes any diffrence but farges turnout was very slim to say the least perhaps us leavers cant be bothered anymore, me for one would leave with no deal today, i very much doubt it will make much diffrence in the long run, not joining the euro we were told would be a disaster but wasnt, mps are planting fear into voters saying it will be a disaster for jobs if we leave when it wont

by virtue of being in higher education they would be classed as leftie elitists so their opinion is invalid

Leave the EU without a deal in March 2019.

We are wasting Billions of pounds of taxpayers money trying to negotiate in a short space of time. Leaving the EU in March 2019 will allow the UK good time to negotiate more efficiently. The EU will be more eager to accept a deal on our terms having lost a major partner.

The deal that we have reached with the EU is the right one for the United Kingdom. Leaving without a deal would risk uncertainty for the economy, for business and for citizens.

their so sad, but then again if their leader in Europe condemns people to burn in hell for not agreeing with him and they don't recognize him for what he is, it's them that's lost

My Spanish friend living in the UK has just signed the #revokeart50 petition.  However she thought before tonight that she was not entitled to sign.  Please remind your EU27 friends and family living in the UK that they can, and should.

5.7 million?

Don't they need to get close to 17.4 million people living in the UK and prepared to vote?
By:

When: 26 Mar 19 18:53
Why? It's only a poll. It's already served it's purpose. It stuck two fingers up to May after her dreadful address, it's helped turned the tide from No Deal to revoke and reconsider, and it's giving information to MP's about how many signatories live in their constituency and showing that ignoring the 48% may not be the best oprion for their own prospects.

Job done. Oh, and it's annoyed all the right people which is a nice bonus.
