I like to think we will leave next Friday with no deal.
It will be bad but there are smart people on both sides of the channel who will just get on with it. It would appear we all want to cut our own throats metaphorically so let it be. We can deal with the mess and Europe will know not to mess us around on a trade deal. 27 countires having to agree it all...fat chance! |

I think we might be leaving on Friday too. 1000 wasted days!

no project fear at all - in fact the government has been hiding the full scale of just how bad brexit will be |

1.2m clicks main from remain areas (london and university towns)
6.4% of Brighton Pavilion consistent have apparently signed it. 69% voted remain there so no surprise. |

By:
Exactly right, you two.
The dishonesty of May's Govt is much less forgivable than its incompetence. |

i must agree UB

Like your style nellie70.
Are you in a position to insure yourself - or profit - from imminent Brexit? Many don't have that agility.. |
|
By:
Relax. Don't move any money as you will lose far more in bank exchange rates and banking fees than you will risk gaining.

There is more to England than the London echo chamber and indoctrinated univeristy towns where EU grants finance research projects causing lecturers to encourage their students to be pro-EU. |

Andrea Leadsom was spot on. "Let us know when it reaches 17.4 million."
Remainers as usual getting worked up over nowt. Gives them hope I suppose. |

silly petition, big news |

2.14 million

2.63 million

to be fair, it's a pretty pointless petition, it's remainers voting to remain, currently 15% of the original remain vote, makes a nice headline but doesn't really mean anything, we're better off concentrating on the real situation in hand, this is just sidetracking unless it got past the 16.1mil Remain vote in 2016 which is not really going to happen.
|
|
By:
very much so, but even the numbers dont matter that much.
the petition took off as a reaction to mays speech, and as an option to her attempting to force her deal by fear. its been a useful exercise already, without having any real importance. |

petition hits 3 million

Dump May.
Have a vote . Ask for an extension . Agree a provisional deal as acceptable to Britain and EU . Put the situation then to the people . Accept that decision from the people . Democracy at work ( leaving the MP's who are party driven out of the final decision ). Pure logic . Who can object? |
|
By:
that's pretty much what will have to happen I agree. Until they start at the beginning (with something which will be voted through by Parliament) then they are wasting their time.
Parliament is sovereign. |
|
By:
Under that system we will have to contest the European Parliament Elections.
It will be a national humiliation to do that 3 years after the public told Parliament to implement its decision to leave the undemocratic EU. |
|
By:
the democratic EU elections in May will happen with or without us and our participation or not will not bring something (humiliation of our country) which is already here thanks to the likes of you.
