No, I said she has formed her government in Westminster
As for the DUP, I said that is a matter of when not if. You keep trying to twist my words Think there's a lot of straw clutching going on here |
By:
They're getting there..albeit slowly.
From Daily Mail:PM tears up manifesto to strike a deal with DUP that will ditch new grammar schools and cuts for pensioners but KEEP the target to reduce immigration |
By:
She's formed f all government as per the parliamentary procedures I linked to. BF perfectly correct not to settle until the DUP officially agree confidence and supply.
By:
Don't agree with you and think you're mistaken. Just need to agree to disagree
By:
BBC:
Theresa May has formed her new government after the Conservatives lost their majority in the general election. |
By:
That's what I've been saying above about forming her new government
Surely they have to settle now? |
By:
If they settle now with back odds of 1.16 available on May then that would just be mental.
By:
Theresa May
"I got us into this mess and I'll get us out of it" |
By:
jamesdean you are just one of those people who can't admit you're wrong. Parliamentary procedure couldn't be clearer:
http://www.parliament.uk/about/how/elections-and-voting/general/hung-parliament/#jump-link-0 In order to form a Government, a party must be able to command a majority in the House of Commons on votes of confidence and supply. This majority can include support from other political parties, whether or not there is a formal coalition arrangement. In a situation of no overall control the Government in power before the General Election gets the first chance at creating a government. If they cannot do so, the Prime Minister will resign. Until the DUP formally agree to a confidence and supply arrangement, no government is formed. |
By:
btw if I could be sure that the market would be voided if there was another election, TM would be free money as Corbyn can't form a govt either
By:
Dave, I'm entitled to my opinion just like you are. I don't think I'm wrong but if I was
then I'd quite happily say so. I think you're wrong. I personally think you're clutching at straws. As said happy to agree to disagree.. 1.14 now |
By:
It's fairly obvious that an agreement with DUP will be reached. The points under discussion are not deal-breakers.
By:
Of course an agreement will be reached however it has to be formalised.Until that time the next Government is still in play.
By:
1.1 now
Michelle Mcmanus approaching the stage |
By:
Why would I be "clutching at straws"?. I'm just telling you why Betfair aren't settling the market (and pointing out that you either lied or were lied to earlier in the thread).
By:
1.08
She's reached for the microphone |
By:
Something's going on, 1.08 now.
By:
She was 1.01 a few days ago...
By:
What channel are you watching someone go for the microphone?
By:
Jes1981 - all thats gone on is that the 1922 committee haven't told her to resign.
By:
I never lied or was lied to. I put the points over to Betfair to which they agreed to
1.07.. |
By:
When an agreement is reached it will be all over. Govt will then have an effective majority and be in a position to govern.
By:
And they didn't suspend the market as you said they would hours ago, so someone lied.
By:
What part of the word likely don't you understand, dave?
By:
I wish you two would stop squabbling. It's worse than May and Corbyn at it.
By:
Agree Sybil.
BBC "Theresa May nailed it and gets standing ovations from her MPs" |
By:
Would quite like them to settle this as my now £25k Corbyn red is somewhat clogging up my ability to pile cash on other ways of buying money. She's been too long throughout, in my opinion and the always remote chance of her being unseated (she might have resigned but was effectively manacled to the job even had she wanted to) is now vanishing.
By:
Unreserved support for PM at 1922 struck just the right tone and dealt with all substantial points. Party united behind her - Nicholas Soames.
The 1922 Committee meeting ends when the prime minister leaves after one hour and 14 minutes |
By:
Likewise Fats.....Royal Ascot next week too. I don't know why but I got myself thinking it was to do with the Queens speech, but reading all the above, perhaps it's the "formal" announcement of a confidence & supply arrangements that's required.
My reds on the Next Government market, and I've no money left to lay. Lab Minority & a Lab/SNP/LibDem Coalition still available to buy money...... |

The banner is still going across the BBC news page with the words "nailed it" now, Fatslogger
IIRC the exact words were "Theresay May meets back benchers and nailed it, then leaves to standing ovations from her MP'S" I'll not hold my breath for an apology |

Feels a bit like selling insurance.
