The worst statement of tonight had to be the one when the tory leave mp said 60% of uk laws are controlled by the eu. In practical terms that is simply an untruth and a deliberate distortion of the facts.
By:
We last had a vote on this over 40 years ago. We have had no vote on new countries joining since.
Could Turkey or Albania or Serbia or Ukraine or any other country join in the next 40 years. We are paying billions to prefer them to join. Why bother if it is not going to happen in the next thousand years? |
By:
* prepare them to join

Law is extremely complex and depending on what you fix that Law to, gives you a different percentage. Try this link. https://fullfact.org/europe/two-thirds-uk-law-made-eu/ |
By:
doesn't really matter what the percentage is, its the fact that the EU have control over many of the most important laws in the land

I am pretty sure zen master that statement is not true in reality/practise. To use it smacked of desperation and having no other better argument to put forward.

Tracey O'Grady has now aligned herself with Stephen Kinnock in caling for high skilled highly paid jobs. They haven't created any as yet themselves.Nothing like spouting populist rhetoric to get support.

It is fair to use the 60% statement, the % is subjective though, but still fair. The latest figure has been calculated by the campaign group Business for Britain, which says that 64.7% of UK law is influenced by the EU. It offers this as the "definitive" calculation, but also cautions that "any attempt to make sense of the numbers is highly subjective". |

10000 employees of the EU getting paid more than the Prime Minister.Surely not.

Dalbers, that may be why they might leave it until the last moment. There would be no time to refute it.I think his announcing to stand, would help the remain camp,Big Style.
I am just thinking that the dastardly deeds department have much more work to do.Right up until 10pm on Thursday. But could Leave still have a Bombshell to play ?. I just think that there is something big yet to be played in this debate. You just wait & see ![]() This is like Casperoff x Game of Thrones stuff. If it wasn't so so Real & Important it would be an amazing Edge of the seat Blockbuster. |

Regardless they work hard for the money.Gauche caviar they are not.

To be fair the direct question by Boris that the eu is the supreme court of Britain was one he did not even get a reply from the other side and he directed his question to the man in his old job and it was prefixed by stating the legal background of the person he asked the question.
It was a simple and direct question but nothing came back from the other side. |

Labour leader is not gauche caviar.Respect.The rest of his mob are very much gauche caviar.

Depends on your definition of things and weighting factor you put on the importance and day to day relevance of things rather than sheer numbers.
By:
Cheers for that link CJ70
Slightly less as a percentage but it is the subjectiveness of including or excluding EU regulations. |
By:
the gauche caviar will be proud when their offspring serve in the Euro army.Private Umoona, private Abot and captain Balls.Kinnocks will be working in their father's thriving business which he is going to set up paying high wages for high skilled jobs.

Which countries citizens will be the cannon fodder do you reckon if we have to go to war?Unless off course all regiments are like French Foreign Legion and made up of citizens from former independent Euro countries.
By:
The integration of people from different backgrounds and heritages could prove tricky within different regiments.

Throw all euro flags in the skip, lets all unite behind the blue one with stars.Nationalist tendencies are sure to dissapear soon.Very little evidence for any nationalism in Europe at present.
By:
Let's say that a decision is taken by a British person in high command to send some Irish battalion to a war zone and they are subsequently wiped out because of poor intel and equipment.Would this not cause resentment between Ireland and the UK?Given their history and all that.

DAVID CAMERON climbed down on controversial trade union reforms to secure union support for the EU referendum Remain campaign in an echo of the "cash for questions" scandal, a leading Eurosceptic has claimed.
Bernard Jenkin claimed No 10 instructed ministers to offer concessions on the Trade Union Bill over members opting in to political funds after discussions with union representatives in order to get their support for Remain. The Conservative MP said it amounted to "the sale of Government policy for cash and political favours" and put the Government at the "rotten heart" of the European Union. |

By:
the fact that picture is a clenched fist probably says everything you need to know about the Brexit campaign
By:
If yer not very clever I suppose it would.
By:
What is this about dave and the unions?
By:
An underhand pact it would seem.
By:
The trade union bill was a vicious assault on the unions absolutely disgusting
By:
I only skimmed the article anxious and won't be able to read it til much later tonight but deffo dodgy.
By:
So Dave went creeping to the unions did he
By:
That is the under the table game changer here. Without that Corbyn and most of the Labour party would be for Brexit and the game would be over. Cameron knew this so formed an agreement with the unions that he would not implement the reforms from his 2015 Manifesto if the unions voted to Remain. It stinks.

An adaptation of an old Bob Dylan song(few alterations) will, hopefully, come to pass on Friday morning if the United Kingdom decides to vote out
Oh the Commissioners will rise With the sleep still in their eyes And they’ll jerk from their beds and think they’re dreaming’ But they’ll pinch themselves and squeal And know that it’s for real The hour when our ship comes in Then they’ll raise their hands Saying’ we’ll meet all your demands But we’ll shout from the bow your days are numbered And like Pharoah’s tribe They’ll be drownded in the tide And like Goliath, they’ll be conquered ........and we will be free! |

I didn't watch it but took this from the Independant comments section
DOGGYWOGGYDOODAH I was at that Wembley Arena debate and can tell you that Khan did NOT get the biggest applause. Boris did and won a fully deserved standing ovation. Nobody on the remain side got a standing ovation. I even saw remainers removing their remain stickers and applaud Boris. Khan did share the accolade of getting the biggest boos with Ruth Davidson. Also the audience openly laughed out very loud when she stated the ridiculous lie that the EU does not tell us what to do. |
By:
She was ridiculed by many in the audience for some of her lies and downright ignorance
Of course the Beeb never mention that ![]() |
