I agree paddletoe. Scotland's prosperity over the next generations should be driven by the Scots. Relying on their own merits and efforts is surely the way any people would want history to judge them? If the Scots fail miserably then that will be their fault and if they succeed then the credit would belong to them.

Have you got a problem with gambling as well as your other weakness?

We all gamble on here Crippen, or are you here for the company?

Gabrial's no winning gambler - he hasn't got the temperament for it.

He gets worked up too easily.

Fair play to the dear departed Gus who tipped up a yes vote at a biggish price. He had better judgement than me. I would not have put stolen money on a yes vote at the same time Gus was tipping a yes vote up.

Perhaps we should wait for the result before garlanding gus.

it must be a real pain logging in and out under your different names. Why do you bother?

He uses his wife`s account for paddletoe, his and her laptops, all you need is a swivel chair. Well you don`t even need a swivel chair but if you surrounded yourself with laptops a swivel chair would be of great benefit.

Why would anybody bother? They would either need to be quite mad or have a serious lack of confidence in their ability to debate an issue.

Irrespective of our political differences do I strike you as either of those?

Given the proposed timescale for developments in the event of a Yes vote, we could easily have two general elections in a short space of time.

Labour could easily gain a narrow majority next year, only to have no mandate once the Scottish MPs are repatriated.

The more you think about it the more it becomes clear this whole escapade has been organised on the back of a cigarette packet.

England regards Scotland as a feckless economic basket case full of dependency junkies.

Why are you in such a panic to keep us?

When you can't reason a person out of a delusional that's a pretty clear sign Melly. There are others who can probably verify what I'm about to post but off the top of my head I'd say Crippen would probably be best placed to comment on this seeing as he's one of the few you accept as being distinct from myself.

Crippen will probably remember that I began posting on the forum originally as Eternaloptimist around 2004/05. I've rarely been anything other than a regular poster since that time. Yet here you are suggesting that I had an account as Room0182 almost since the inception of Betfair in 2001 and yet there are 416 posts?

Does it seem logical to you that I would have an account between 2001 and 2004/05 and yet not post with it until I actually did in reality open a Betfair account around 2004?

Well Melly does it?

Or would you prefer to do you Jazz hands for us again?

Go on sucker. Let rip with a full on meltdown. You know you want to. I'm off the bed now for a good old sleep. I trust you'll be posting again at 06.00 in the morning?

That would depend if his medication has worn off.

He posted a few weeks back that if he's not asleep by 2-41 a.m. there's something wrong.
