I very much see fault on both sides.  But I do not understand the justification for taking the most sensitive land possible in response to a peaceful application to the UN.  I was hoping unbiased might enlighten me.

I could never understand the Israeli mentality for building illegal settlement on the West Bank. By building more settlements in occupied territory they make the  two state solution less viable. Thus rejecting the two state solution they are unwittingly opting for a one state solution where the simple laws of demographic will eventually ensure that Israel will cease being a Jewish state – unless it wishes to move humanity backwards by implementing  an apartheid system of government.

3. The big irony of the behavior of the Israeli government is their persistent denial of human rights to the Palestinians. But hang on a second. The Israelis cannot all be Muslims as well can they?
