Juan immediately starts throwing his chip weight around winning a couple of hands by just pushing people around
Linn also won a monster pot and now has a huge stack. This is mainly due to my pep talk with her in the last break whilst her boyfriend gave her a shoulder massage! ![]() |

When is a final table NOT a final table?
Is it: a) When the TD keeps saying it's not (even though it clearly is the final/last/only remaining table) b) When we've invested 15 minutes moving everyone to the final table (which, remember, is NOT the final table) but want to keep something 'exciting' back to take us to the dinner break c) When the TD LOVES the microphone so much he wants to spank it non-stop (and if this were the final table he'd have to stop) No prizes offered. |
|
By:
a) b) and c)

Ok...
Q. "How many tables are left?" A. "1" Q. "So this is the final table?" A. "No. It's the last table." Q. "So are there any more tables?" A. "No." Q. "So this - many could argue - is the final table of the tournament?" A. "No." Q. "Are you SURE?" A. "Completemente." Q. "Can you offer me anything more convincing?" A. "Would you like a plier?" |
|
By:
We almost lost a plier when the short stack went all in pre flop with Jacks and was called by 10 A
The flop came an exciting Q K Q however the turn and river were a dull 3 then 9. So we still have 10 left on the final table (which isn't a "final" table) Clear?? ![]() |
|
By:
I think that The Waster and BFPRM are both well out of order.
The TD has explained at least 17 times to the thickets that a final table has nine and a last table has 10. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
|
By:
I concur with HF!
Can I add that I believe HF is an absolute plier :) |
|
By:
Stefan Poulsen has TT and shoves and a Spanish gentleman who I am yet to find the name of calls with 88.
An 8 on the flop beats a distraught Stefan and leves him with just a few thousand. It was a 300k + pot Stefan [ This image is no longer available. ] Random Spanish player [ This image is no longer available. ] |

Soooo close to the real "final table"
![]() |
|
By:
Next hand Stefan goes out when his mini stack is called and he exits the tournament in 10th place making the last table into the final table and wins 780 euro.

Amuse yourself with this video of Costa Brava Day One while we all go away and have a dinner break for an hour.
WE ARE OFFICIALLY ON THE FINAL TABLE!! ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLpjn5LkyLc |

You won't believe it, but the last table in the tournament just became the final table in the tournament.
To clear up ANY remaining confusion: LAST [last, lahst] adjective being the only one remaining FINAL [fahyn-l] noun the last Ok - this is the last/final post on the matter. Dinner time ![]() |

Just tuned in always a blast, surprised klup, twodogs and varno arent out there, worried that HF went on his own and 'no hablo espanol', for all those who dont know, the ft count is made at the beginning of the tournament, for instance the uk&i pt ft is 8 players but quite often use one table from 10 down to 8, so if this tourny has a rule that the ft has 9 pliers on it, then it is in fact the last table running in the room but not the final table of the comp. hope that helps. and c u all again in another month or so
hello to all and gl on the tables |

We have had the hour dinner break and the nine final tablists are seating themselves for a fight to the death,
My money is on Linn! |

In case anyone is wondering what happens when you become an honorary Fin...
...you get an ashtray (no charge) and all your new Finish friends go out (without you), have a ruddy good time (again, without you) and then come back (with your ashtray) wearing sombreros. Now PLEASE can everyone stop emailing in asking about this. Thanks. |

Linn once again shows her class when three barrelling to the river and getting called.
She smiles wryly and announces K high. |
|
By:
![]() The ashtray in question! (can someone look it up and make sure it doesn't say anything offensive in Finnish) |
|
By:
David Guntveit goes out in 9th.
He shoves his short stack with JJ and Juan Bel with his mighty stack calls with 4d 5d The flop comes QT3 with one diamond, the turn is the 7d which gives him a gutshot and a flush draw and the river gives us a diamond and goodbye david but he takes 1252 Euro. ![]() |
|
By:
Paula goes out in 8th and gets 1473 euro.
She shoves a shortish stack with AJ and Jaime Sanchez Salvador calls with a much bigger stack and holds AQ. 3 3 K flop and a Ten on the turn and a seven on the river seals her fate. [ This image is no longer available. ] ![]() |
|
By:
A Crippled Kjell Pettersen shoves his few chips in and gets two callers.
The flop comes J high both the callers check, a 6 on the turn and Juan bets and Freddy folds. Kjell shows T7 and is drawing dead on the river when Juan shows JT Kjell takes home 1733 euro to Norway. [ This image is no longer available. ] ![]() |

Jose doubles up when he shoves with 77 on a T44 board.
Jaime who now has a monster stack makes the call with AJ for 110k. The turn is an Ace and the room gasps but then bedlam as the 7 arrives on the river! ![]() |
|
By:
freddy Rolland goes out in 6th and gets 2166 Euro.
He shoves a short stack (about 60k) and Juan calls from the BB with AJ The flop is 468 but a Jack on the turn breaks Freddy's heart. The 5 on the river is no good and Freddy leaves us. [ This image is no longer available. ] ![]() |
