Further to the rakeback problem, we were promised that payments to the ambassadors league would be made yesterday the 3rd November. I'm sure nobodys suprised but these haven't been made either. It would also to nice to see a final league table published.

This week did not contribut to the leaderbaord so it is the same as last week. Let me try and fish it out again and re-publish.  |

When I pointed out earlier in this forum that there was one more week to go, you said Appollo is 100% correct. I went on to win this weeks tournament and the 100 points for winning it would of put me up to second position. Thus winning £250 instead of the £100 credited to my account. I have queried this with the helpdesk and to date had no reply.
While several people spoke out against the last tournament counting, several others spoke in favour and I was of the impression that the last week was counting in the league. |

You should have received an answer by now, especially as we are being told that, in another thread, that betfair takes customer service seriously and is trying to improve the service

I have noticed that there has been a deafening hush about appollo's missing money from our supposed 'ambassadors', klup, helmuthian folds and chipfire. They should have commented immediately about the situation.
I expect they will be on in a moment telling me to mind my own business AGAIN because I do not play in the community tourney. However, if this were taken to excess then how are our 'ambassadors' to do anything as it would mean unless they had played in the tourney, sng or cash that you were complaining about, then they could not possibly comment |

Both myself and HF played in the Community Tournament.
I wasnt on the leaderboard,largely due to the fact I do voluntary work on a Wednesday night and only made a couple of games, but I rather suspect HF was, and therefore could be said to have a vested interest. As I've already stated, it's absolutely none of my business ( you seem to be struggling with the difference between a representative and an adjudicator ), it was down to the organisers and the affected players to resolve. And as Appollo has already stated, he wasn't expecting a reply until the after the weekend when the person who put together the tournamnent returns to work. |

First of all I'd like to say this really is a fanastic promotion with great prizes. It is promotions like this that attract me to betfair poker, but again they let themselves down with mistakes and failure to publish up to date tables.
The new schedule is published above, again the league is set to run for 8 weeks, but only 7 weeks of games are shown. This should be clear from the start and would stop the arguments about when the league should finish and distribution of prize funds. I understood from the start that the leagues would run for 8 weeks each, as that was the number of weeks in each period. Although in the promotion it states they run for 2 months). Surely Betfair could make a member of its staff responible for updating the league table, first thing on a Thursday morning. I have had to ask for updates several times on this thread. I still have no reply to my query with the helpdesk made on friday and can understand that if the payments have been as per league table after 7 weeks, then the budget has been spent. This would not of happened if the league table had been updated immediately. After the queries asked after 7 weeks, I thought it was clear that the league ran for 8 weeks and payments would be made after those results. As I pointed out in an earlier thread it was unlikely that the positions would change much anyway. But as it happened the 100 points I got for winning the eighth game promoted me from 4th to 2nd and had a negative effect on Blue-1914 slipping from 2nd to 3rd and for BG-Fish87 slipping from 3rd to 4th. I hope this can be sorted out to everybodies satisfaction as soon as possible and that some action is taken to prevent similar confusion. |

So, as an ambassador for us when is it going to be your business? So in every dispute you are going to claim it is for the organisers, betfair, and the affected parties to resolve, not you. I do not expect you to resolve the matter but I would have thought that you would support appollo in this dispute as he so clearly has a claim. As you stated often you rarely play on betfair nowadays, so there is hardly any times when you will give an opinion? |

We represent the poker forum at Q and A sessions. We put forward questions on behalf of the forum, and we note Betfairs answers, then report back. We also chase up responses from Betfair and when we get them and publish on here.
We do this in our own time, and are not paid by Betfair or the players on the forum. The only renumeration we receive from Betfair is our travelling expenses which both myself and Thrappers pay out up front ( which given we both have to make 8 hour round trips isnt cheap )then claim back. Both of us use annual leave or unpaid leave from work to attend these sessions, and both of us were democratically elected to do so. There are several players affected here annie, and you are asking me to side with one against the others. You are even expecting HF to comment despite the fact he could well be one of the players affected. I'm sorry but surely the other players involved could just as easily argue that it was made abundantly clear before Wednesdays game that no league points were at stake, and they therefore chose not to play, and they should also have our support ? I could offer an opinion, but I see no point in doing so until we see what BF have to say on the matter. |

Although some confusion, and I agreed I thought 8 weeks (7 weeks as scheduled plus 1 surprise). PokerMgr did come back on this thread to indicate no 7. But that they put on the extra tourney and quiz. Too many posts ago. I myself missed by a few minutes. But quite fun reading the answers without knowing the questions. I think they just need to confirm the exact schedule and yes it would be a really good thing to do something slightly different for the last one on the schedule 28th Dec. Personally if poker manager/customer support were looking at it, and your position, and considered how this type of issue does effect regular players in a negative way they ought to send you some apology tourney tickets or cash vouchers to cash in. Well played. And hope that they do something once the person dealing with it gets back to work. |
