Based on your feedback it has become clear that the current format of Q & A (What's on Your Mind) is not working.
So we are going to try something totally new.
We are on the hunt for 2 Betfair Poker Ambassadors from the forum who can join us at our next Q& A session (expenses paid) in mid July/early August. The ambassadors, who will be chosen by you, will attend the Q&A in person, be given a guided tour of our offices and will be treated to beer and pizzas. Their responsibility will be to form an agenda before the night based on the popular requests by you the forumites. This person will have the opportunity to put forward your views directly to our senior management and report back to the forum during and after the session. They will not be bound by constraints such as data protection and can report everything and anything that is brought up on the night to you.
In this way we hope that your views will be listened to in an open and honest setting with an independent representative attending.
I know there will be scepticism/paranoia amongst some of you but please try and get behind this initiative.

Its true I named and shamed in terms of collusion and account sharing, but the 6 shooter tickets I was entitled to under the terms and conditions of the promotion by being on MASTER status at the end of May, and I won the WSOP package on merit.
This hasn't " shut me up " however. I've very much stuck to my guns. Apart from the 6 shooter MTTS, I've done what I said I would do and played my poker elsewhere, while BF conduct an investigation into the allegations I've made. It was a condition of them agreeing to investigate my allegations, that I didnt comment on the interim findings, and wait until such investigation was complete before commenting further . This is why I haven't commented on the subject for a fortnight.

Betfair - you dont need a forum meeting to tell you whats wrong - its clear cut.
Front line Poker Customer Services is diabolical. Your fault for allowing them not to know their clients, the poker product or to empower them to take decisions without having to bounce off half a dozen issues.
Dealing with Fran, Matt, Milena, the entire affiliates team (who are fantastic), Michael the Germany Manager, Julian, Evgeny (Russian manager) etc ... I only have excellent praise.

I would quite happily do it if people wanted me to but I only have one nomination! 
more I think about it loooollll poker site has been raped by half the senior management in recent years, money has been thrown away in the tens and hundreds of thousands, the staff in mid management and further down are constantly replaced and the site doesnt improve because it is down to the FEW SENIOR MANAGEMENT who think they know it all when they know very little. All the wasted money and potential millions lossed, and now they think a couple of quid on pizza and beer will do the trick. talk about desperation! anyone who is still at betfair nowadays is pretty much a low rake and not professional poker player. the people who could seriously advise and make a difference have left long ago because you didnt listen before. how many people said they did not want the move to ongame? surprise surprise the greed of a few and a brown envelope and the switch was made.
All the pizza in Italy and all the beer at octubafest cannot save betfair poker so long as Stefan is working there!

As to ambassadors, I would like to know something about the people we chose, so perhaps on another thread all posters who would like to represent us could tell us how old they are, what is their job if they play just recreational, whether they play poker for a living , what is their wish list for Betfair and why we should nominate them. I agree with you that there should be one each representing pro and recreational players as there wishes can be very different. I play on betfair2 under sufferance as the only reason why I do is the promotions and it is supposed to be an easier site. I much prefer ipokers skin for the graphics and those things that we are always asking betfair for.

Better graphics, ipoker has 'badges' that you can customise, much better that the avatars on ongame that you cannot chose - how can I have a male avatar? Players put their country flag on them, easier to see where they are from. If you do not chose avatars on ongame, and I do not, you are presented with a dull boring screen. I often switch over to ipoker just because I miss the cheerful graphics. I know this is heresy to serious players, but hey ho I am a woman, what do you expect

Promotions that do not descend into a farce. Betfair, you really could not organise a p1ss up in a brewery. I have been a manager loads of times and have had my own small businesses, if I had staff like you I would have sacked them years ago.
Decent customer services. Many of your customer support are good, but they are let down by quite a few rotten apples, some of whom do not understand poker and your product, unforgivable.
I could go on, but I am playing poker and my computer is ancient and does not like multi tasking and is freezing up on me.
If, after a year of us moaning about the above and all you have done is introduce 6 max cash, then I think you have to change to another skin. Ongame is the pits. Keep the players, just give us a different screen.

I personally do not need convincing about the effort, dedication and drive of the good eggs at Betfair. There are a lot of good things that Betfair do that most of us do not see or will ever appreciate - and that's a fact!
Last night the Affiliate Manager (Daniela), won the WIG Affiliate Manager of the Year award and regardless of the impression some of you might have with regards to Betfair - But she truly, absolutely deserved it.
But this is the way I see it after this Q&A session:
The senior managers will be well qualified and well informed and give it all the lip service thats required to ensure the two reps walk away thinking ... they (Betfair) are actually quite well organised, professional etc.
But frontline CS still suck ... and all the lip service in the world accounts for nothing. What will senior managers do about it? Nothing - because they will read their management reports, look at the stats (Prepared by CS), hear the managers reports and think ... we're doing great! When I have an issue, i now just email those who can and will deal with it.
Klup's NOT interested in going. I wont learn anything new and doubt the management team will either.

Looking at your novel annie, I have no idea whatsoever why you're playing on Betfair and not on ipoker lol.
It is mainly because of the betair promotions, waheyyy. Like today, the skill and go promotion starts, but there is nothing similar on ipoker. It is also because everyone says that the player skill level is less on here. I am also not joining any other site until I can devote time to get their bonus.

I have started playing this and I am looking forward to seeing the leaderboard tomorrow, or is it the next day? Whatever day it is supposed to be, please make sure it is there. I have joined some of your promotions and the leaderboard results are hopeless. How can we judge whether it is okay to go on, or is that the point - keep us playing when we do not have a hope, but don't know we do

despite his comments about being cynical i still think that chipfire would be the ideal candidate for this trip with gnasher joining him
Assuming they are based in London, I think me and Gnash are probably bad choices from a geographical standpoint. I wouldn't fancy taking 1 or 2 days off work, and making a 7 hour round trip, to have a look around an office. And thats assuming the bank I work for would give me the time off.
It may come as a shock to some down there, but we have offices in the North I could look around if I were thataway inclined .We even have Pizza retailers.

Whoever goes though can you please bring up the question as to whether Ongame is the best network for Betfair? As you can see from all the comments there hasn't been much love for the software since BF switched over.
I understand BF found the need to switch because their proprietary poker product wasn't generating enough volume but the majority of Ongame players seem to be fish and shot takers which totally goes against Betfair's philosophy which promotes skill.

It is now 16.38 and there is still no leaderboard for the skill and go competition. Your skill and go leaderboard page says that the leaderboard will appear on the 25th June, without saying at what time. This is not acceptable. You did say that you were going to try really, really hard not to mess the skill and go competition up AGAIN, like all the other competitions, but judging by this it seems it will go the way of all the other promotions
So, can we have a time for the leaderbaord to appear, and if not an explanation.

Interesting that only 6 players from the UK are in the top 50 and 2 of them are down in 47th and 48th. Nice to see which countries people are from though. Wish we could have that at the tables.

You need to be playing about 150 games a day to have a chance of a reasonable cash Annie.
I would imagine Gnasher has played over 200 in the first day and he's playing at the higher stake levels.

Sorry to everyone who voted for me, but I have just remembered that I am hopefully going around the world this winter, so I would not be able to do justice to the job. So please could those who voted for me vote again.
One thing I hope that voters remember, is those who actually help others on here. If they take their time to post replies for help about poker, then they are knowledgeable and helpful, a winning combination.
In fact I think that if betfair persist with this, then they would be better off picking the ambassadors themselves. They know the winning, large stake punters and the recreational punters, and by looking on here to see who is articulate and helpful could come up with good choices. I would not trust some of the posters on the forum to vote for the right person.

I have just looked at the survey and the four candidates are chipfire, gnashers, Klup and helmuthian folds. As Klup has said he is not interested and chipfire has been lukewarm about it, has betfair contacted all the candidates to check they would go?

I have been vocal of my criticisms of the Customer Service on here for years and still feel it falls well below the norm.
I currently work as a senior trader for a UK bookmaker and have experience in dealing with senior management within this industry.
If selected I would do my best to represent all the gripes of the forum equally and fairly (apart from the its all **** brigade) and would take any role such as this seriously and not just as a beer and pizza jolly up.

He also does not seem enthusiastic about the idea, so why is his name put forward? We want someone like you, HF, who will take it seriously. I also like the idea of gnashers, as he plays LOADS on here and is well placed to put the side of the grinders.

I know it is july/ august, nick, but if I go away in possibly September, then there would be no continuity. If I go, then it will be for at least a couple of months, maybe longer and maybe forever. I would be moving around and so could not guarantee internet access. I think an ambassador should be able to offer more than that.
The four candidates were shortlisted based on the votes here. Annie/ 1movewonder / KeithA did not qualify as they only received a couple of votes whereas the others all received 4 votes or more.
