av stack in st ars $150, AKo vs AKs, he flops flush
big stack in highroller, AK vs AQ, flop KQQ. QQ vs AJs (shortie), flop ace. Now 33/35. Has been a horrid tourney for me. 21 left in $10K, QQ vs AK, flop K, river Q |
|
By:
A9s in to 66 in the highroller. Never ever run good in that tourney.
Only left in 10k, 10/14 but short |
|
By:
shoved AQ in to KJ in 10k, he hit house. 9th. At least the highroller was a freebie this week.
I am probably going to have a week off now, so see you in a week for more highroller monstrosities. |

Not played much since the last post.
Finished up in March Only played 3 days in March. First hand in highroller set vs turned straight, followed by more monstrosities. Cashed in the other 2 on bf tonight. So overall betfair for April is down v small amount, st ars down small amount. I don't think I'll play again until Tallinn. I am planning to play the main and 6 handed if I get knocked out of the main. After that I am only planning on playing a couple of days before GUKPT Walsall. I am busy at work, and needed a bit of a break from the poker. So just playing 1 or 2 days a week at the mo. |

Got 24,500 chips going in to day 2 of GUKPT walsall. Was on 55k early and amongst the leaders, but lost a big pot late on the river. Obviously had some good fortune earlier and won my first big flip in a decent pot in a big tournament for a couple of years, but also took a couple of other nasty rivers in smaller pots.
Need to be positive though, I have above my starting stack and am a double up away from above average. Will update the rest later, but 2010 so far is Jan losing, Feb losing, March winning, April losing. Highroller tourney %$^"£$%%! |

good luck with the walsall tourney mate, word to the wise tho, its 2011 [;)], if u change it quick no-one will realise[smiley:crazy]

Ah I remember the glory days of the start of 2010 when winning was easy.
Yesterday's table was pretty soft. Before yesterday, I was beginning to think the table's were getting too tough. On one of the river's the fella had 2 outs, the big pot another had 7. Was a case of what might of been, just a couple of suckouts away from chip leader. But at least I am owed a suckout today. ![]() And if the suckout doesn't materialise at least I can watch the 2000 guineas at 3.10. As an aside virtually the last pot of the night I have TT and 26.5k, I raise to 1800 (blinds 300/600) with antes. Big blind puts in a 5000 chip and 800 in other chips. Dealer says raise, fella says he meant to call, but looks pretty calm. Was I outthinking myself by thinking this was an obvious stroke he was pulling and folding?? |
|
By:
Blinds were 400/800. I am losing it ffs. I should also say I think he swapped his chips round and counted out his "call".
ANd cheers for the good wishes |

First hand of the day AKs UTG, fella shoves 20K with KJ off, I call obv. flop K77, turn 3, river K for a chop. I won one more pot with ATs. Couldn't get anything for the rest of the level, made one spewy steal that went wrong. Eventually shoved 77 in to TT to be left with less than 1 BB. Got it in with 97 off, but couldn't hold vs 54 and 65 :(
Hangman from old betfair had a big stack when I left, but looks like he is down to about 60kish as the bubble approaches on the blonde updates. |

The $100 one at 6pm, 1/960 I think +$18k
I really believe it had a lot to do with not playing the highroller. I have been playing Tusday for a while and ran so badly in that I was tilting far too easily. It has been staring me in the face for a while, but I was just too stubborn to switch. But Monday there was a $100r omaha in the scoop, and I quite fancied it (cashed in that too). I wasn't even going to play the 7pm, but left work earlier than expected and regged 30 minutes in. Monday I felt good playing poker all night, cashed in 5 from 8 or so and won the big one on st ars. I obviously ran good in spots, but still managed to lose a big flip 5 handed when I had double anybody else's stack. But that was cancelled out by getting QQ vs 99 heads up when we virtually even. If the hands were reversed, I wouldn't have got away either. Doobs not in highroller ![]() |

Just back from vegas.
I meant to play 2 events in the WSOP, but ran deep towards the end of day 2 in the first (event 8) and so canned the 2nd event. I outlasted flopit by about 10 places, and 97% of the rest of the field, but we both eneded up with $3.3k. Day 1, I got badly fished twice early and went down from 3k to 1k. I eventually got my chips in with KK vs 99 and AA. Hit the king to go just abvove 4k and went on a tear up to 9K. I then lost a race to put me down to 4k again and don't think I ever went above average again. Day 2, I started with 14k, got aces first hand, stole another, and then got AJ with blinds 300/600. I raised to 1.35k, and a fella late pushed 8.5k. Given I had already raised twice, and this was only hand 5 or so, I think this should have been a call, but I folded. I just didn't fancy going very short so early (average was over 20K). After that the table broke and I got a bit card dead. The next hand of note happened when it looked like it was 4 from the bubble. A fella raised 800 to 1600 and I shoved about 9.5K with KK. He pretty much instacalled with Ad6d. The flop came K high (nice) but then 2 diamonds. I faded the outs and was back above 20K. As it was the clock was wrong and we were actually around 10 from the bubble, but the call was shocking. I had barely played a hand at that table, and he only had about 20K. After that I can't remember a notable clash in 8 hours or so play. I got up to 60K at one point, but was down to below 50 (with blinds 1.5k/3k and a 500 ante) when the following events happened. I knew we were about to break tables, as ours was the next in line, the player count had 9 deducted and the trolley full of racks arrived at our table. At this stage I was about UTG. The pair of fellas with the racks proceeded to have a few chats on the walkie talkie and with each other. Needless to say I had to post and lose a big blind. I then posted the small blind as they started to dish out the racks. Someone raised UTG, but given I was pretty tilted I was never folding 99 in the small blind with less than 45k. He had QQ and I missed. I then played a $100 donkament at the Aria on the last night, and chopped that for $1400 with 4 others. Someone made a terrible call with Ad6d for all his chips in that for a massive pot vs me. He hit obviously, and am obvioulsy glad it happened in that and not the wsop event. 2/2 cashes from the trip. Also had the Derby winner in my absense, which was an OK touch at around 16s. I must be close to break even for the year now, but probably still down a little and just bubbled on sta rs grrrr. |
