Why hasn't Chipfire posted some of his badbeats on this thread. Is he ill? after the overwhelming evidence presented that the game is rigged, as i have long suspected, i have given the game up. the super users are even playing $8 super turbos now. the games finished. :-( |

wtf is a super user ffs

wtf is a super user ffs are you for real ? there are superusers now. not only can they see your hole cards, they can see what cards will be dealt in advance. this was revealed by punterz in his recent blog, along with overwhelming evidence that they exist. what was once considered the delusional rambling of crack addled conspiracy theorists, is now accepted wisdom. nobody who has posted on this thread, and i mean nobody, apart from you and me, actually exists. the user names were created by a man called terry, as were the posts. he is a former superuser now employed by ibas. a poacher turned gamekeeper if you will. he is trying to brainwash you into thinking poker isnt rigged. do not fall for it. just by posting this i have put my life, and the lives of my family in danger. the superusers are everywhere. they are working on a code that will crack the chip and pin system and bring the banking world crashing to its knees. again. keep fighting the good fight roy. keep fighting the good fight. |

Haven't read whole thread, but has anyone else other than Roy/Patience agreed that shoving with the AA here is strange?
|
|
By:
Why is shoving with AA strange? I would have thought it a good way to make your hand look weaker than it is, in the hope the only remaining player has something big. He did, it worked.
btw, I only started playing a few weeks ago and have only read a little on the subject of poker so please correct me. |

Deep breath....sigh.....ok. God give me strength.....
Levels are 15mins. You have not overshoved all in with the bb before, nor has he reshoved you. All fairly peaceful loving stuff. Odd raise call, nothing seemingly out of line from either party. We are 4 handed. Top prize is about $3.3k, 4th is $911. You have just doubled after calling a large raise and hitting a set of twos. Very next hand It is folded to you in the SB. You have the best hand in poker. You are unlikely to see said hand again. There is only 32 k in the middle and the BB is not in desperate shape and has circa 340k?? Something like that. He has shown himself to be tight aggressive. Pray tell what on average is your best line in terms of extracting value from this hand should it be played over 1000 times? Given you have no history of this (with a smaller stack and the blinds the same) to now do it with a bigger stack and the same blinds reeks. The only way you get action is if the bb has a premium. Only way you play AA like this in the above spot with the above history is if you know what he bb has. |

maybe they though oh I have got aa, I like this hand. Let's go all in and hope they call.
|
|
By:
Roy - it was a 'donkerment' though. I've seen people go all-in with 8-2 offsuit and get called by Q7. So, is it that surprising that he was hoping for a call (and thus win maximum with his aces)?
Plus, if he only picks up the blinds, at least he hasn't been suckered by someone hitting a set/2pair on the flop... |
|
By:
^ Yes james... very astute thought process. I assume you are putting yourself in the villians shoes not something someone as shrewd as you would do.
New guy, just dont do it son. Raise or limp your best line here unless you have been shoving on the geezer a few times before in which case you've gone a bit early but stick with it now. Peace, love and respect. |

The money in the middle really aint enough you to warrant pushing any 2 3. Read my post you cabbages clown, he's only getting a call should i have a top hand given how ive been playing. 4. There is not enough in the middle to feel good about just picking up the blinds with aa 4 handed. 5. worrying about getting sucked out upon is a fish trait. Good players will always get more suckie suckie but you have to keep putting yourself in those spots because in the LR..... |

R0ykeane 15 Jan 14:26 New guy, just dont do it son. Raise or limp your best line here I've read only two books, and seen a few instructional videos. Whilst what you are saying has an element of truth to it, every bit of literature I've read so far stresses the importance of ,mixing up your play. Honestly, wtf would you be risking everything for on an AK against the big stack? it's a gamble. Even if he'd had 66 you'd have lost. |

Roy why dont you just settle it, instead of continuing to just state AA never pushes here so he must be able to see my cards, post the rest of the hands he played, if he can see cards it will obv.

You are looking at this ALL wrong. The only two hands I dont want to see here are Aces and Kings. And even kings I've a 1 in 3 chance to get a stack that wins me the tournie. HTH |

you back silly assumptions like 'he doesn't win the tournament if he only wins a small pot with aa' and if I win here I win the tournament'. Neither are true.

Well i have only ever played betfair poker until today . Just joined pokerstars , lol , and not before time !!!
I read a thread on bots on this forum last week , enough to make me leave this site , lol . Didn`t know they existed lol , no wonder some players never got involved in any chat lol !! Gl , to all @ betfair poker , will miss you ! ,lol |

A move that is either guaranteed to win the blinds and keep him secure in his tournament position, or take down a monster pot is not what I would call 'ridiculous'.

aa vv kk heads up is not uncommon so ak vv aa is certainly not uncommom
if i makes you feel any better this hand popped up LIVE last hand in a £100 freezeout i played in Player 1 - allin 9s9h Play 2 - call AsQd Flop Kd10d9c Turn Jd River Ad Player 2 runner runnered a royal flush when player 1 flopped a set I also witnessed a queen high straight flush beat a 10 high straight flush in a cash game LIVE two weeks ago it happens and its called probability - people win the lottery as staggering odds and instances like this are no different |

Good grief, they continue to leap into the net like lemmings off a cliff.....
|
|
By:
ok i read the post and u seem to think that a player would only ever go allin with AA if he knows the other play has a premium hand and cannot fold it?
sorry but that is absurd - plenty of players overbet AA like this to represent a lower pait and elicit calls from premium hands - and it worked perfectly against you! can i ask why u called when u have over 30 big blinds? |
|
By:
you idiot. I only call because i have Ak. Anything less and i snap fold so his ploy to look weaker backfires massively.
I hold AK which makes it less likely he has AA coupled with the massive overshove its a call The point is he only shoves this hand if he knows i cant fold. Not hard to follow |
