is this guy really serious or just pssing around - if like me you have played too many years and god knows how many hands you have seen it all - a push all in 4 handed with aa is simple just not strange - the bloke pushes this time next time maybe he raises, another he may just call - same as anyone else would - the one thing he does do is disguise his hand. Really it is a standard move by a standard player called by a standard hand by a standard player playing a standard game on a standard site :-)

not if once every 4/5 times you get a call from someone with ace high it isnt

Can tell you are not the sharpest tool in the box.

Pray tell me the odds of someone else having an ace 4 handed when you are dealt AA fourhanded let alone AK.

4/5 times this gets a call? In your dreams my son.

some people play aa like this
By:
jamesbeckton.
When: 14 Jan 10 13:16
Oh I would play it the same. You only have 17bb so if he does a small raise it looks quite really strong and he might get you to fold a stronger range.
By:
Patience+ Discipline = Profits
When: 14 Jan 10 13:28
Thank you for your input james, at least some are willing to contribute sensibly. 17bbs only you say? 4 handed that is ample imo.......
By:
jamesbeckton.
When: 14 Jan 10 13:40
9 handed it would be a lot but 4 handed it isn't that much as the blinds are going round quickly. Also if the blinds are about to go up then 17bb becomeds about 10.

My crucial point though is that he is probbaly going to be shoving wiht a massive range here. He has you covered easily and most of the time you will be folding. He would not want to just raise as it would give you an opportunity to see a flop or shove on him which if he had a marginal hand would place him uin a torublesome spot.

If he is doing that with weak hands then he has to do the same with his strong hands or the strong hands would stansd out and he would be massively exploitable.

This is a super standard spot 4 him to shove , 2 fold you have perfect reshove stack, He can shove a huge range here profitable,The shove by him looks weaker than a raise which may look like hes inducing. So iam with james here he shoves AA to blend his ranges, he could have turned over 63 as easy as he turned over AA.

When: 14 Jan 10 14:48
Way to many *****relative to blinds to be profitbly shoving 63. And standard with AA you are having a laff.

as for shoving to look weaker you are having another laff. I thought oh god wtf is this.... I cant fold Ak here but this is murder.

The exact reason i may reshove with a wider range is why he should be raising pre.

FFS. Still no word but at least it looks like they are taking my allegation seriously instead of a random generated reply

If think your ganna call off 17bbs with roughly over 30% of your hands then 63 is prob not a shove but from your out rage at the thought that 63 can be pushed profitably then your image is prob a bit nitty on the table making 63 push very profitable if your only calling of with 7% of hands. So 17bbs is such an tough stack to defend with in these spots , to much to call lightly with, but perfect to reshove with, that is why open shoving allowes us a huge range where raise calling shrinks our range. We must always adjust such shoves to out impression of our opponant as you seem to have nitty views for the modern game them 63 *****in ya face is standard from my perspective,But if the 63 is standard then i do have to blend my ranges and suddenly just raising with AA would be giving free info , so the AA becomes a shove too.

If he had been shoving a lot then he would've expetced you to have noticed this and therefore if he open shoves he can hope that you get annoyed and make a marginal call with a7/a8/a5. You might be one of those silly players who flat call prelfop with a5/a6 type hands with 17bb foir all I know.

How many of your blinds had he stolen before this cooler?
By:
jamesbeckton.
When: 14 Jan 10 15:44
I think it is okay for him to be bettign 2.5xbb here preflop if that had been his standard action before hand. If his standard action had been to shove (which it probably would be as you are a nit and maybe you fold a5 to a shove but reshove a5 to a raise) then a shove makes sense.

This is a massive cooler anyway.

Proof lmao

Hand looks completly standard to me and the way it was played.

Its this simple: if u think it is rigged then simply dont play.
I mean why play something u think is against u?

James like i said this was very out of character for him. He'd done nothing like this, and was not particularly aggressive. He Had just doubled last hand after flopping a set of 2's after calling a raise pre that if i recall was too large in my opinion. He knocked the geezer out.

In weighting exactly what this was a small % thought maybe he got a rush to the head on the back of that hand.

Anyone who call this standard should give up the game now imo.

James how can you call this a cooler when others say fold Ace high. When replying please identify yourself as a winning or losing player cos im having trouble shifting through the good replies and the turd.

Lets try this again as at the very least I think you are trying. Your maths is okish but have a think son. If you are 'profitably' pushing any 2 every 2nd/3rd orbit then any good player swiftly adjusts and you will get caught very very quickly. Maths is only part of the issue here. You are not the sharpest if you think a player of my calibre would sit there getting shoved on any 2 every 2nd orbit until i got ace king.

This was a stand alone play from the vilan. Did nothing like this before or after. Ergo sum it made no sense whatsoever. Unless he could see my cards.....

I had better give up cos someone lost with AK to AA and thinks its rigged and not a standard hand.
I have seriously seen this so many times online and offline which must make live poker rigged as well.
