Opposable favourites
One that I think that we can oppose this afternoon is the current favourite in the Selling race in the 2.40 at Thirsk. Why So Fast is currently trading at 3.9 on the betfair markets. Although the filly appeared to run quite decently in a Median Auctions Stakes last time out at Redcar she was comfortably held by a horse rated in the same bracket showing that her current mark of 62 is more than a little flattering. We have four on our side including Cracking Choice and with that in mind I think we can oppose her this afternoon.

2.40 Thirks Why So Fast - Lay at 3.9.

She did swerve right last time right after the start and anyone wishing to buy her back in running would need to back her at 11 for 35% or their original stake to make a profitable 65% book.

At Carlisle this afternoon a favourite that I think we can oppose is the Tom Dascombe trained three year old colt Anton Chirguh. Having won a Class 4 Handicap at Doncaster in July off a mark of 73 he found his new mark of 80 just beyond him in two races since, albeit running well both times. The handicapper has him up another pound for that effort at Ayr and although the form of that race is working out well this is a much tougher race with Master Of Arts, Oxford Charley, Hot Rod Mamma and Osteopathic Remedy all on our side then the percentage call is to oppose.

4.30 Carlisle. Anton Chirguh - Lay @3.55 (still shortening up at present!!)

They have used different tactics on him so far and anyone wishing to buy back their bet:

Lay at 3.55 and buy back in running at 10 for 35% of your original stake to give you a 65% trading profit.

At Kempton tonight in the 8.20 race I think that its worth opposing the favourite from the Bin Suroor stable with Frankie on board. Although the stable has an excellent record in handicaps it often happens that their horses are subject to being 'overbet' and at around the 2.5 mark I thinks its worth taking on Mizwaaj tonight. Last time out over this course and distance he only just held on after being ridden clear at one stage by SDS. Next time out 11 of 12 from that race were unplaced. This is a stronger race than that one and he may find it hard to get such a clear lead this time with at least one other front runner in the field. With 5 others on our side tonight the call is to Lay.

8.20 Kempton.  Mizwaaj Lay at 2.5

Should you prefer to buy back your selection - then if possible back at 7.2 in running for 35% of your original stake, if matched this would give you a 65% profit regardless of the result. Less commission of course.

At York this afternoon I think we can oppose a favourite in the form of a horse taking on his elders for the first time. Despite the weight allowance I think that we can oppose the Sir Henry Cecil trained Stiplulate. So far he has won his Maiden race at Leicester and a Listed race against his own age group at Newmarket, a race where the form has not worked out particularly well. Since then he has appeared in three Group 3 races and a Listed race with three places but no wins. On one occasion he finished last, the going was very soft that day and with the possibility of rain softening the ground further and six other possible winners of this race on our side the percentage call is to oppose him today. He hasn't always been the quickest to break from the stalls, so buying him back in running is a possibility.

3.05 York - Stipulate, Lay at 4.2

In running you may be able to buy him back at 12 for 35% of your original stake to give you a 65% profit, less commissions.

At Worcester tonight in the 8.50 the public and supporters of the 2.7 on betfair favourite Dream Risk must reckon that Brian Ellison has worked the oracle with this horse and that the 6 year old mare will make a return to form. Brian Ellison is excellent at reviving horses but not only will he have needed to revive the mare but he will also have had to improve her to win this tonight, he may well have done that of course but at 2.7 I think the risk is well worth taking to oppose her tonight. She has won only two races to date, a Selling Hurdle and a Claimer. In handicap races she is 0-17. The young jockey on board tonight has yet to ride a winner for this stable and the percentage call is to oppose her at this sort of price with at least seven others in the field cpaable of taking a hand in this.

7.50 Worcester Dream Risk - Lay at 2.7.

Should she drift to 7.8 in running then you could buy back your bet at 35% of your original stake to make a 65% green screen.

At a price of 3.5 I think that we can take on the favourite in the last tonight at Kempton in the shape of Way Too Hot. This is one highly tried horse that hasnt really performed and is favourite tonight purely on the drop in class. The filly was lowered in class last time out to a Class 3 Handicap but was still beaten around 6 lenghts as seems to be the norm for her regardless of the class of race. Down in the handicap by another 5lbs and down to a Class 4 race but that still might not be enough. We have the bare minimum three others on our side tonight, the call is that at least one will be to good for her. At the price the filly is a lay.

9.20 Kempton - Way Too Hot - Lay at 3.5

This afternoon at Newmarket I think that we can take on the likely favourite here in the form of the William Haggas trained Diala in the 4.20 race. Since winning her maiden she was highly tried in a Group race and found to be way out of her depth, she followed that with a half decent showing in a Listed event before finishing fourth of nine in a Class 3 handicap race at Ascot carrying top weight on her handicap debut. Up to a Class 2 today in arace where you cannot rule out any of the field, so with seven of them on our side the call is to oppose Diala this afternoon.

4.20 Newmarket Diala - Lay at 4.6

The 7.50 is a cracking conditions race tonight I think that the favourite Masamah is way too short even in this small field. He may not confirm placings with Noble Storm and also has Move In Time and Dinkum Diamond who are all capable of taking this race. Masamah may win of course but at this price the percentage call is to oppose him tonight.

7.50 Nottingham Masamah - Lay at 2.46

At Ballinrobe tonight it may well be worth taking on the short priced favourite in the 7.50 race namely Chiltern Hills. The mare only just won a NHF race before being found out in a stonger race next time up and then on her hurdling debut she was far from fluent at her hurdles and she plodded on to take a well beaten fourth place in a race where the winner was rated just 107 (well beaten next time up) There are four in the race apart from the favourite who could win this race and at odds of 2.02 the percentage call is to Lay.

7.50 Ballinrobe Chiltern Hills - Lay at 2.02

At Ayr this afternoon a favourite that I think is worth taking on at the price of 3.2 is Dubai Dynamo in the 4.15 race. He did run well last time out at Ripon finishing second in a Class Three Handicap but this looks tougher this afternoon. The gelding has three wins from 33 attempts at this distance (2 of them were at Ripon) and just 1 win from 41 attempts in this Class of race. If PJ McDonald adopts the same  hold up style that he did last time out then it gives us two chances to collect.

4.15 Ayr Dubai Dynamo - Lat at 3.2

Or lay at 3.2 and buy back at 9 for 35% of your stake for a 65% p[rofit.
