i cant wait for this card, some great fights and some good value bets. starting with forest griffin at 3.00, good value here, as griffin holds a victory over shogun a few years back, while its true that shogun was injured pretty badly going into that fight, he still has a lot of injuries to this day, most notably his knee. added to that the beating he took from jon jones when he lost the title you have to wonder what damage that did mentally to him. Forest will be the bigger fighter here and should be in better shape than his last fight against franklin.griffins underrated ground game could see him take shogun down and work from the guard as im not sure he wants to trade to much with shogun. anderson silva vs yushin okami has no value in the winner market, anderson by k.o/tko at 1.9 and even higher than that on other sites seems like a good bet, i cant see anderson subbing okami like he did with chael sonnen and would be surprised if this went into the championship rounds, pay no attention to people that say okami holds a victory over anderson as it was a disqualification, when silva knocked okami out with an illegal kick from the ground, okami was getting picked apart standing up and all but one of okami's take-down's attempts looked very telegraphed and were easily shrugged of by silva. Schaub at 1.5 ish against big nog could be good value. nogueira hasn't fought in 1 and a half years, he has had a lot of injuries and ring rust could be a factor, he's coming of a knockout loss to cain velasquez. Brendon Schaub on the other hand is on a 4 fight win streak beating cro cop and gonzaga in impressive fashion recently, schaub will be bigger than nog, and holds a reach advantage, with very fast crisp boxing that could cause nogueira a lot of problems if he cant get it to the ground. pearson vs barboza is gonna be a fun fight, i like barboza at 1.4 in this one, this guys leg kicks are brutal, some of the best in the sport. pearson is an all around good striker with heavy hands but i think barboza will be to quick for him and pick pearson appart with kicks. theres not a lot of liquidity up for a lot of fights yet but hopefully this should improve. who are your main picks for saturday?
I can't wait for this fight card, been looking forward to it ever since it was announced. forrest griffin 13/8 v shogan rua 4/9 http://bleacherreport.com/articles/817199-ufc-134-news-forrest-griffin-says-he-isnt-getting-betterhttp://bleacherreport.com/articles/817199-ufc-134-news-forrest-griffin-says-he-isnt-getting-better. There is a link to a interview forrest did about his upancoming bout with shogan. I think you have to look at forrests mindset going into this fight, this isn't the forrest i used to know, he would never talk about fighting as just a job, i personally never think he has been the same since his embarresing defeat to anderson silva, i don't think his heart is in this anymore. Shogan will know what to expect from forrest this time round, and he will be more determined than ever after his loss to jones, thats why my money will be on shogan. thiago tavares 2/5 v spencer fisher 7/4 There is great value in backing fisher here, i don't rate tavares at all, fisher isn't the most consistent himself, but i don't know how tavares is the favorite here, he was ko in his last fight against shane roller who isn't exactly known for his punching power, that why i will be backing fisher in this one. anderson silva 2/9 v yushin okami 3/1 anderson silva will win this no doubt, i think there is value in backing him to win by ko/tko at 5/6. silva will be just to quick and elusive here. I don't think there is much value backing anyone else i think schaub, cane , and palhares will all win. I will all so put a small amount on pearson at 12/5, barboza is a beast, but i really like pearson fighting style and i have a feeling he could pull off a upset here.

yeah i thought fisher was great value too, but was waiting for some more liquidity and better odds. as for paul harris his odds are to short imo, still think he'll win though. not going to touch the luiz cane fight till in play, have no idea about Stanislav Nedkov but apparently he's pretty damn goood.

Im guessing less than 10/1.. Because thats what PP is offering for the treble.. Im on already.
So what price would you guys make...Silva, Shogun and Schaub all to win by KO?Im guessing less than 10/1.. Because thats what PP is offering for the treble.. Im on already.
i can see schaub and silva winning by tko but forest is tough to finish especially if he clinches or takes down shogun. 10/1 though seems a pretty good price though im on silva and schaub to win by tko/ko. probably going to bet on forest outright if the odds get back to 2/1

Not sure if I will even sit up and watch it tonight.. The fights seem very one sided on the main card which isnt the norm for a UFC PPV. Personally I dont see any upsets at all and no value punting wise.

Don't know where you are rating Fisher from... hard to finish but Tavares for me. No value in any match bets as I see it. Only value is in fights not going the distance - picking Cane v Nedkov, Mitchell v Thiago and Nog v Schaub in that market. Think Pahlares and Thiago will get submission wins. Only potential value match bet is Assuncao.
Here we go...

spencer fisher has a lot more experience than tavares and against better quality opponents, fisher is getting on a bit now though but i think the odds should be closer than they are. the prelims are live on facebook, and ufc.tv, no idea where you can watch the main event on a stream though

Im a boxing man in general but love watching anderson silva fight so staying up for this. have put a ridiculously speculative treble for 50 quid on forrest, pearson and silva all to win by k/o that would net about 8.5k.looking forward to this

pearson won the 1st probably lost the 2nd even though it wasn't a proper knock down and pearson bosed the rest of the round..and pearson defo won the last!

what a night for Brazilian mma this is turning out to be. shogun looking great, managed to trde out and get a profit on shogun near the end, been some great fights so far and we still got the main event

Had Pearson winning that. Glad he got the $100k bonus.
Cane was a joke. needs to find a new job. mma isnt it.
Didnt expect Nog to win via KO. that was a surprise.
Was expecting a bit more from Okami and Griffin but thats the way it is sometimes.

cane is technically great, got to ahead of himself by trying to put on a show for his own fans, has a future in mma,he got caught, simple as that. some of your opinions are retarded.
I thought it was a clear cut pearson victory 29-28 allday long, how barboza got 2 rounds i will never ever know. Pearson was better at everything and blocked most of barbozas kicks, had the fight gone 5 rounds pearson would have made him crumble. Apparently controlling the octagon only seems to count if your randy couture or a boring ass wrestler like Rick Story.
Great scrap Ross glad you got the bonus.
