Just had to look up Oswaldo de Oliveira.
12 jobs in 10 years. LAY. Could be a few jostling for the fave though which would be good to see. Got to cover King Kenny here even if is just as interim. |

Gimme a nudge when we get a market here. The daq is tiresome although it is possible to steal money from the seeders over there. Not surprisingly they fall asleep.

Although King Kenny will be worth a cover bet |

I am not convinced MW. I am laying both.
|

Lay the cr*= out of dalgleish has to be the bet right now does it not?
5.3 is required |
|
By:
No e in Dalglish Alex, a very important matter.
|
|
By:
For the avoidance of doubt, it's easier just to refer to Him as King Kenny.
I'm also not laying him whilst there are still some highly layable duds about. The ownership issue and the ten match appointment clouds it too much for me. |

Much easier to spell. Thanks.[;)] |

Sometimes it pays to work out which journo is closest to the action. I guess that we can safely rule out the Sun on this one. The Star are always way off the mark and if you consistently lay their rumours you would be well in profit.
I note that the Mirror are reporting that Hodgson and Van Gaal are on Kennys list. A link from the beeb gossip site too. |

I have noticed, quite against my expectations, that the NOTW are becoming accurate in their manager market reporting. Today they are reporting that Fulham are due to be approached to talk with Hodgson.

Is anybody betting on this market? I am starting to wonder.
Hodgson taken into 1.44 either early this morning or late last night. I did not dare to lay him so I don't know what time that occurred at but it would appear to be a dangerous move to oppose Hodgson unless that plunge was a late night alcohol fueled irrational punt. |

I wonder if Betfair has spoiled the fun with these markets with it's painful recent settlements/voidings. Much less liquidity than there used to be. Still not convinced about Woy but am neutral on him

Paul Dalglish says his Dad is more than keen for the job:
http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-fc/liverpool-fc-news/2010/06/10/paul-dalglish-backs-father-kenny-to-land-liverpool-fc-manager-s-job-100252-26624401/ “I just think that hopefully he does get it because I know how much he wants it,” Paul said. “To be honest with you it would be an unbelievable story for my dad to be going back. “Some people say, well what happens if it doesn’t work? He’s been out of the game for 10 years. “My question is, what if it does work? What person loves Liverpool more than my dad? “Who would Liverpool fans love to see have success more than my dad? Nothing could make my family more proud. I’d love to see it happen.” |

Have a look at the betting history on Toshack over at the purple place.

I think that this is a week or so old but there are a few other spanish reports along the same lines:
http://www.elmundo.es/elmundodeporte/2010/06/03/futbol/1275591925.html I am not sure why PP have taken money on him today or how much. |
|
By:
remarkable. Does anybody understand why Pellegrini has all of a sudden gone short?
|
|
By:
They can't afford to pay off their Spanish backroom staff and he was linked in the Spanish press. Can't see it myself
|

Oh good to hear from you. I figured that you must be having another of your extended exotic holidays.
How was Barbados? |

Life is just not right.
I have to fly from Heathrow to Africa and Ernesto flies with his private jet to Barbados in his private jet. All on the back of manager markets, so I am getting something wrong. |

So according to the Chilean Press this is a done deal. Hmm |

If England lose and Capello walks then surely Hodgson is a shoe-in (I have my doubts mind you). Hodgson's in a strong position and waiting may be beneficial to him. |

I saw and and genuinely thought that you were fishing, hence the reason that I did not respond.
|
|
By:
I'm very rarely in there now TP. It's gone downhill I think since the upgrade and I really can't be bothered to wade through the nonsense.
|
|
By:
I was part fishing (Capello has a lot of fans whereas I think he doesn't deserve the credit he's received for his England work) and part being serious (I expect Hodgson would take the England job and so the price on him being Liverpool manager was too short).
It is full of nonsense. I just use it to vent frustration every now and then. I don't think I'll be using it much from now on, it really is a waste of time. |
|
By:
I know it is sad but it amuses me to wind them up, so I will doubtless continue to contribute, if that is the correct term. [;)]However reading what they say often points to where the mug money is going and very occasionally where the smart money is going. So I will keep looking.
Horangi has had some sensible things to say on the Liverpool market although I do get the feeling he is weighted towards Pelligrini. |
|
By:
Here is a thought: What will happen to Hodgsons odds if England qualify or don't qualify this afternoon?
I expect I will just modestly play any over reactions as I sit pretty on this market right now. |

I left some money up off the pace but I never expected to get matched at 1.01!!
|
|
By:
Yep, England qualify and Hodgson shortens. I get so focussed on what I'm doing that I often forget to think. Although I'd never have 'wasted' my time at 1.01! Well played.
|

Hello chaps, sorry for my absence. Moving house
![]() Koptalk are claiming Hodgson has agreed a deal, and yet we still have 1.3 on here. Do they have any credibility? |
|
By:
I think the Mirror said he'd flown back from South Africa to conclude a deal. I forgot to check if he was on the BBC panel yesterday.

5live reporting now that he is the top target, and 'speculating' that there are 2 back up options in Pellegrini and Rikjaard

Replies: 4480 25 Jun 10 14:20 5live reporting now that he is the top target, and 'speculating' that there are 2 back up options in Pellegrini and Rikjaard That is fairly consistent with what the rest of the media have been saying just except one report suggested that Dalglish was unimpressed with Pellegrini. It would be brave and some might say foolish to oppose Hodgson at this stage. |

Hodgson is apparently stalling as a result of the instability in the boardroom and Liverpool have approached Marseille to speak with Deschamps. |
|
By:
Why would Marseille make this public? It suggests to me that they're worried Deschamps might be interested. This could get very interesting, I'd love to have seen Hodgsons reaction to hearing this story.

Until the numbers start talking to me I am not going to lay Hodgson. The numbers are not talking right now although they might when I sleep.
