Two very intriguing matches to start the play-offs, first up Colts and Chiefs.
11-5 Colts at home to 11-5 Chiefs whom they beat convincingly only a few weeks ago 23-7 in Kansas!!.... yet....
..The spread given is only in the 2 to 2.5 range ..Listening to my two regular NFL shows (podcasts), most contributors fancied a Chiefs upset (so much so, I was thinking it couldn't be considered an upset anymore) ..I fancy the Chiefs! ..Clay fancies the Chiefs!! (only joking, Clay) ..In the our play-off competition its 4 for Chiefs, 1 for Colts and 1 No call
I'm a bit perturbed because I thought I would be reasonably isolated comfortably sitting on the Chiefs and able to say "I told you so"!!... but the only people who can do this are Colts backers!!
For me, its not about stats etc...
I think Chiefs are a TEAM in the true sense, well-coached, not spectacular but potent enough on both defense or offense to have a big day on either side of the ball... don't see them beating themselves. Also, have been a bit disrespected this year, "easy schedule", "have beaten no one" etc. etc. Think today is the day they show they are real contenders.
Great admirer of Andrew Luck...but lack of real weapons will catch-up, this week or next. I think this week.
A Houston radio announcer was immortalized on NFL Films with the statement "The lights are on here at Rich Stadium, they've been on since this morning, you could pretty much turn them out on the Bills right now."[1]
Shame BF wasn't around in '93, wonder what his forum name would have been

I'd even out if I was you if your green - this could go anyway and every way. Likely turnover for either or both teams given the situation and adrenlin levels

...same last year, comebacks all over the place in the play-offs
remember thinking the same - that there was a longer gap between games to wind-down Saints @ Eagles in 20 mins

What a game! Either the Pats or Broncos will destroy these though. The comeback papers over the cracks of their defence somewhat. Against a better team than the Chiefs they will not be able to comeback like this.

.... ok , I know its a told you so but I think I deserve it..
Wallflower 04 Jan 14 22:10 ....... Andy Reid (speaking as an Eagles fan).....who I like, but
...clock management ...goal line play-calling
looks like he's brought it with him to Kansas.
If this is close, watch the messing-up with time-outs and play-calling within 2 minutes

In fairness to Andy Reid, it wasn't his fault they lost so many players to injury. That was the difference. Can you imagine what Jamaal Charles would have done to that Colts D tonight? Kansas would have scored 70
