. They all lost anyway. It wouldn't matter if they all won....... the match result happened because of the events on the field between 1pm and 4.30pm EST, nothing to do with what happened 10 years ago.Also, as I said...... I could come with statistics that "suggested" the opposite - it's just a matter of which statistics you pick or choose. But I'm not arguing with you - I'm watching this match, but go ahead and if it works for you that's fine, knock yourself out. I pay little attention to statistics and it works just fine for me. |

SNF could be a dud tonight. Eagles are win-&-in next week anyway so have nothing to play for tonight. If Packers win (currently tied) & Lions lose (currently going into OT) then Bears will also be win-&in next week anyway so THEY will also have nothing to play for tonight either! Could be a lot of players rested in this game

good point, the swede - about advantages in being No.3 and No. 4. But........
Assume Saints are 5th seed and 49ers are 6th seed (based on they finish level and Saints have head-to-head). I'd suggest its better to play Saints at home, rather than 49ers at home. So Eagles (assume they must be Dallas anyway) are better off losing and finishing 4th seed? |

.... they can't get in as a Wild-Card, only as Division Winner - so only winner of NFC East goes through and that's Dallas or Philadelphia and they play next week - winner takes all, loser goes home.

The key isn't so much 3rd seed vs 4th seed- it's about giving your starters a week off before a crucial win-&-in matchup on the road against divisional rivals the Cowboys
No point winning tonight and being banged up for the much more important game next week |
