incaseof as a few discussed on the superbowl thread alex smith managed the game well but you never fancy him coming from behind in games...not for me

Smith is much better to go trough his read but sure Kaep is mostly very accurate with his bullet...missed one key today, wide open Veron but got the PF call

yes that was a shocking throw to vernon..wide open indeed...not had many bad throws..I also liked the way he bounced back against the pack having been picked for a TD..It would take a brave man to drop kaep for smith on the back of a passing completion stat

yes he was impressive last year in the playoffs agree...did nothing wrong but kaep keeps defences guessing more.

the fact that Kaepernick is even involved in a debate about whether he is better than Smith after just 9 NFL games speaks volumes on how well he has played and just how good he could become.

well I'm not saying they should drop him, but believe they could do it with Alex Smith as well...BUT in a SB against Pats, sure kaep by far the best one

The thing about Smith-Kaepernick in my opinion......throw all the stats out the window and go with the eyeball test.

Who gives you the best chance to win?...the answer is a no brainer for me.

I thought Kaep would turn the ball over much more, and I held that against him simply because 49ers was good enough with that D, run game and safe passing game

SJ, Trouble with laying Patriots (even when short) is the market respects them (too much) - hard to get much value on them unless about 10pts down.

Most stubborn team (market-wise) in the NFL.Sad
