Missed the 3rd period of that Van-Phx game Dr. but heard all about some **** call that ruined the outcome (from a Canucks perspective).

On to Sunday, don't know what to make of the early game. Bit tired of seeing the same teams over and over in this time slot. Any combination of Washington, Pitt, NYR, Philly every week it seems.

Evening guys

Following the worst bout of Flu/Virus or whatever the hell it was i'm feeling virtually back to normal so it's back to business , just been looking back at what's been happening and the Pipe winner at Cheltenham must have been nice Swardean  Happy

Yes Benrik these early games seem dominated by a few teams but not sure many of them want this early start as the home teams in general continue to struggle , as we've often discussed.

Going to digest all the standings again over the next few hours and re-assess each teams play-off prospects , good time to be looking at individual needs and especially in the potntial 4 pointers.

Speak later all Happy

We are getting to the must win stage now and the race for playoff places in the west is just so tight.  The kings entertain the flames tonight and really think the home ice should just edge this one to the kings.  Flames seem to be declining after a really great run just to get into contention and I like to oppose them on the road.

In contrast I have been looking at the Kings schedule and other than Oilers (away) and Avs (home) their run in is absolutely brutal.  They must pick up something from this game as the other 8 are horrid.

I'm in big time on the ML.  Good luck all.

Agree with the Kings tonight Swardean. Was on Calgary ML last night and for some reason didn't look to trade out near the end. I suppose that happens when you aren't watching the game.

Horrible news for the Canucks today -- Malhotra out for the reg. season and playoffs with the eye injury.

Just crashed out and watched the Pens game last night , great to watch and an early indication of what the big guns will have to offer in the play-offs.

10 scheduled for tonight and some absolutely crucial games  , yes bad news that for Canucks indeed swardean , tbh their games are ones i'd be looking to avoid playing in for the remaining 8 games following the big game tomorrow , when you assess their position in that they've won the division , a good lead in the conference standings and one hand on the President trophy then they could find themselves in a catch 22 situation and find it difficult to peak again at the crucial time.
Think if they get at least a point in Detroit tomorrow night then , depending how much Flyers press them for the PT position , they could be a team to lay in RT rather than back at the inevitable short odds that will be banded about as they have a good looking last 8 games , on paper anyway.

What do the Vancouver guys think  Confused

Evening all, agree with much of what you say Hayden, I think that tonight is the last real opportunity to back Vancouver, I think they will be all out to show their closed conference rival exactly who is boss.  I was really hoping (and expecting) 11/8 and was slightly shocked to see their price.  I guess plenty others share my view.

After tonight, I expect a coast into the playoffs.  Although they will not want to lose all momentum impossible to call the results when not flat out.  No need to risk injuries and chance to mix the lines and personel.

Hope a few are staying up for this one tonight, the clock move certainly helps me.

Hoping to keep up the good run, horses and hockey have been great the last month and still the chance of the dream final from my perspective (Caps v Canucks).

Speak later guys.

Good to here you going well Swardean.....only hockey letting me down at the minute!

On overs in Copa match in Argentina, sure you are watching, haha.

Going for a tie in San Jose later, won't be staying up though.  Good luck lads

Good luck Drew, may tune in for half an hour before the hockey starts.  0-1 already another before HT would be very nice.  When on overs you always like to get one at least every 30mins to stay ahead of the gameLaugh
By:
Hayden
When: 24 Mar 11 03:15
There's the huge performance needed from Canucks to virtually seal the Conference and also one hand on the President trophy , let's see how the mentality translates on the ice now for these 8 games that may just find them torn between avoiding injury , using games to tweak their play-off atstrategy and finding a way to peak for the important times ahead.
If they whizz through these 8 games blowing an easy looking schedule away then good luck to them and i've obviously overplayed the schedule thing but I can't help thinking they'll be a few games worth laying them in RT at short odds before the play-offs begin.

Nice to see you doing well swardean  Happy

When: 24 Mar 11 23:54
Evening all, have desparately been looking to find one of the favs to take on in the early games.  After much research I have decided to go for the Canadiens to at least grab a point, so small on Boston lay in Reg and small Montreal ML.

Hoping for some real scraps and punishing games over next couple of weeks, to 'take it out' of the chasing pack.  Guess its the playoff already for those on the fringes of qualifying.

Anyone else fancy anything strongly tonight?

Nothing strong Swardean, but I am starting to feel that Pittsburgh may peak at the right time, tonight possibly a chance to show it?

Also maybe Islanders and Leafs on ML

Good luck, going to watch first period in Phili

Good evening,

haven't been able to watch a game in a long time so I'm feeling slighlty lost. Nice east coast action tonight. Will have to watch a period or two. I'm putting some money on the draw in Nashville aswell.

Good call on pens drew what a horrid selection by my, compounded by the fact that all the outsiders in the other 3 early games won!!! some at very big prices.  Talk about picking the wrong game.  I actailly watched the atlanta v islanders game and atlanta were very good value for the win but couldnt find the net!  Interesting first team for the theory Hayden, as if they play like they did last night they could well win this.

That said I am a watcher as I cannot bet against the canucks.

Sticking with Pens again tonight....got it done last night and given that they have a good back to back record and the Devils run seems to have run out of steam then 10/11 ML looks a bet.

Atlanta's stats look good from last night's game....that against the free flowing Isles.  I'm taking on board what has been said on here and maybe 6/4 is a fair ML price tonight, also a small dabble Thrashers RT

Good Luck

Have had a bet on Edmonton in the late game. No real reasoning behind it.
By:

When: 27 Mar 11 15:39
What a crazy game in Edmonton last night. Managed to trade out at 4-3 and back Calgary prior to the shootout. Feel a bit bad for Edmonton; hey are a pretty fun team to watch but are missing so many players through injuries. With a relatively easy schedule down the stretch this might be just what the flames needed to propel themselves into the playoffs. Of course they will need some help along the way.

Florida-Pittsburgh the early game this morning but nothing on NBC today.

Well, I can't see Colorado taking anything from their game with Anaheim later. Chicago/Detroit is a little tougher to call.
By:
Swardean
When: 28 Mar 11 23:09
All over the hawks in this one, they simply need it more.  Howard out for redwings is not a good sign either.  Detroit looked listless last couple of time I have seen them and I thought Chicago slightly unlucky against Ducks LTO.

So ML bet for me.  Good luck anyone playing.

Hope you are continuing the run on Pens Drew, paying nicely so far.

Completely agree Swardean. Detroit virtually locked into that 2/3 seed and surely concentrating on getting healthy before the playoffs.

Evening guys

Not seen a puck hit in anger since last Thursday , knock on the door that night and it was my brother dropped in from Australia , not saying I haven't seen him for a while but last time I set eyes on him was at his wedding the day Brown Chamberlain won the Hennessy in 1983  LaughLaugh still recovering from the shock.

Need to check out the highlights sometime tomorrow as i've lost touch over the last few days , agree with this game coming up in that it looks a really tough call both on the match & goals markets.

Good luck guys  Happy

ANAHEIM TO BEAT THE AVALANCHE IN RT (5/7 at Betfair)

With the regular season entering into the final two weeks, the Ducks find themselves in a fight to the finish for a play-off place.  Meanwhile, Colorado only can look back on the 2010-11 season that actually started with promise winning 60% of their first 20 games to collapsing into a squad that has only won two of their last 14 games.

Injuries ripped apart the Colorado confidence to build solid, consistent lines.  Meanwhile, Anaheim go into April with a clean bill of health and winning ten of their last fifteen including Saturday night against the Blackhawks who they are battling for a play-off berth.

Goals for the Ducks are coming from various line combinations though the team finds themselves winning by just a goal, something that has been happening most of the season.

The teams have met three times since 5-February, Anaheim winning all three.

No indication that the Avalanche's fortunes are going to change so taking Anaheim in sixty minutes at 5/7.

Good luck on your selections tonight.

Wow, its like the playoffs have arrived already.  hawks been up twice so had chance to trade out but didnt, will take my chance in overtime.

Thought hawks would win easy with the intensity they started the gaem but fair play to wings they have matched up well and perhaps slightly edged it.

See you all tomorrow.

Well done lads, clean sweep last night, nice toget 100%.  Plenty to go at tonight, but paying price of the late one, so unless something jumps out at me, perhaps an early night.

Some good games to catch up on Hayden, come back soon we need another of your specials!

Been trying to look at possible playoff matchups but given up as anything is possible in the west.  Still scared Canucks fail to deliver when it matters as they deserve to win after their great season.  So Dominant, they are top in almost every statistically category!!

When: 29 Mar 11 12:36
Yes good stuff lads , back on here for good now swardean as he's gone back to Aus already , he's a Chemist and it was a quick business trip killing two birds with one stone so to speak.

Looking at your boys position and they still need 6pts officially to ensure the PT position but looking at the Flyers schedule that's likely to be a lot less and confirmed in the next few days , when that's eventually confirmed they'll surely be concerned about collecting any more injuries on top of what they already have even if it means sacrificing any momentum , what do you think ????
By:
Swardean
When: 29 Mar 11 13:43
Problem is they are breaking records, most points, longest away streak and whilst this is continuing I think they remain playing hard.  And we need to factor that even when perhaps not at their best it is enough to bt lots of teams.  Both keepers playing phenominally at present and if that happens any time is hard to bt.

But in terms of bets I am looking elsewhere at present and trying to decipher the team that will hit the playoffs on a streak and may go deep.  Hard to judge at present.
