Actually, now that I look at the numbers, neither team has been involved in many overs lately and Toronto has been shut out twice this year by TB. However, their previous meeting in TO ended as an over. Certainly the potential for goals in this one, I think.

Actually on Chicago ML and lay of Vancouver RT.

Toronto is so unpredictable Swardean. Never know what to make of them from one night to the next; its been that way for a few years now. They can play great on a sat night HNiC game and then lose to a miserable team mid-week.

Like you Benrik, I am a Van fan, worked in Van for 4 years so loved the game from that.  For obvious reasons cant stand blackhaeks, just glad Byfuglien moved on[>o]

Evening guys

Sorry not posted for a couple of nights , still got a bad Flu tbh and thought it would be gone by now , banging head as we speak.

Couldn't resist this Sharks game though , looking more and more the complete team as the weeks go by and maybe the fact that they're not chasing the President Trophy this year and choosing the statement games better to perform will mean a well overdue push in the play-offs this season.

I see Leaf's are being Leaf's again , mind you wouldn't have a clue what may happen in the 3rd period , gave up playing Leaf's games and trying to work out what they'll do next the middle of last season  Laugh

Brilliant stuff from Hawks , you can't give that many penalties away to that quality tbh

Only watching in fits and starts Benrik as at work.  Think for some of the teams that are not fancied, the enormity of even getting close to the playoffs starts to dawn when they get close.  It weighs heavy on the mind.  Minnesota have shot their bolt now and possibly are a team to duck for the rest of the campaign.  They look to be feeling very sorry for themselves.  To be honest, the way they have kept going being invariably outshot was always going to come home to roost.

Good luck.

VANCOUVER -1.5 OVER THE ROCKIES (5/6)

Two teams at opposite poles in the standings are Vancouver and Colorado.  While Vancouver are a handful of wins from securing the best record in the league, the Rockies have only won 2 of their last 20 games.

Riddled with injuries and lacking goaltending, there is a shadow of a team hitting the ice, their 1st line all injured, 9 players on the injury reserved.

The Sedin Brothers have had 17 pts between them over the past four games.  And despite Luongo having the night off (something that will happen more and more towards the play-offs), the sparingly used Cory Schneider has had 4 wins in his last four appearances.

Vancouver should be able to win this by atleast 2 making -1.5 the play for tonight.

Good luck on your plays.

The 3rd Vancouver goal a thing of absolute beauty - a must for Cannucks fans currently busy with Cheltenham to watch on their return Devil

No, I'm right.  Economic times in Colorado mean that the owners of the Avalanche and the Rockies merged to form a "super team" and save overhead since players are paid "by the year".  Dyer performances in both leagues will guarantee that neither will cross over into the play-offs thus no conflict of schedule. Nice last night Shapes.

Playoff spot locked up not we wait to see who we will get first round. Personally I'd like to avoid Calgary and Anaheim. We struggle in low scoring games with Nashville, too. I think Dallas would be ideal.

SAN JOSE TO BEAT THE WILD IN RT (10/11 Betfair)

Minnesota find themselves winning just three of their last ten games and dropping out of a play-off spot with just over two week left in the season.  Their last win four games ago was against the woeful Colorado Avalanche.

Cross-checking their performance, the Wild recently lost to Nashville and Dallas.  The common point these teams have is both were beaten by San Jose in the past ten days.

San Jose have the depth with scoring coming from more than one line while the Wild find themselves struggling to find a solid line.

Backstrom will be starting in nets for the Wild, the team going 1-5 with him in nets the past two weeks, the win being the Avalanche game.  Niemi has faced the Wild recently and chalked up the win.  He has played every game for the Sharks since 2-Feb as they push for 2nd place in their conference.

Both teams have had two days off to rest so all is square there.

Taking the Sharks to win in 60 minutes.

Good luck on your plays tonight

Good stuff Shapeshifter, keeps up the recent run!

Just watched the highlights of the games I had missed and indeed a beautiful goal.  The twins really do seem to have some telepathy sometimes.

What a great few days at Cheltenham, yesterday extra special with the sun shining, the atmostphere all day was something else.  Also, helps if you have a good days punting.  Can I refer you to my post on this thread on 04 Mar 11 at 01:53 Silly

Anyway got home last night and absolutely shattered, but no rest, out again at midday for pub lunch and day session with the boys!

Speak tomorrow.

Glad I skipped the Chicago/Dallas game.  I looked at it from a few ways and couldn't get to 6 goals.  Dallas took it to the edge 5-0!  That I didn't expect.

Enjoyed the SJ bet.  Lost earlier this month taking them in RT and they went 1-1 winning in overtime.  But stuck with what I thought would be the value!

Cheltenham for me has been exciting but hasn't paid but hasn't really cost either.  A couple of ew's landed (started Wed with Beshabar beaten by Chicago Grey then literally whiskered at the finish backing Rock On Ruby).  Landed Noble Prince yesterday then spread the bank over the next five races but no joy.

Still, an enjoyable meeting for me.
