Yeah no harm if it's just a bit of fun, as long as you're not betting your life savings on it. See you later NBK.

There's some huge prices available tonight. All I have to do now is lay the right shorties

Boy am I capricious tonight.

might just have a bit of in running action and of course a little treble for a bit of interest.

I quite like your earlier suggestion of LAA, best one for me on the midnight games (hopefully more successful than D-Backs have been).

The Reds have had a late pitching change so any bets on that game will be void.

Not for me, I'd back the Phillies at 1.56/1.57. Probably won't get matched, but much closer to backing them than the Braves.

Boston to beat Rays

Shall i just go down the schedule lol

D-Backs had a stack of chances, mainly due to all the walks but no hits when it mattered. The Cubs did hit with RISP, unusually for them.

Red Sox at bigger than 2.5 is a bet too I think, much better value than the Braves certainly.

I think their is value for the Red sox - never seen them at 2.5 in my life

problem for the Braves is Halladay has only given up half a run in 2 games vs braves

Hmm, Travis Wood on three days rest for the Reds, think I would have gone with an Owings spot start.

Might end in tears that one for the Reds. Not that anyone on Betfair is going to win or lose anything on that game.

the covers.com writeup of the halos said they should be opposed because they had to travel, but cws had to as well! lol

I suppose the Angels had to travel slightly further, but that's a load of nonsense as a reason to oppose them.

I really wonder that u bet on boson botl - both catchers out, pedroia, ellsbury, hermida, pedroia and lowell too (all starters and good at bat) - or dont u look on lineups in general. Just a question -no provocation but i am newbie at mlb
By:

When: 06 Jul 10 00:59
philly missing four important players too
By:
Bottom_of_the_League
When: 06 Jul 10 00:59
Do they have two Perdroias now?  Silly

Lowell isn't a starter, and both catchers can't be starters at the same time. Hermida isn't an every day starter, he is only getting just over 3 at-bats per game. Ellsbury has only played 9 games this year and they've done fine without him.

Of course it helps if teams have their best players, but that's why the Red Sox were 2.6 and not much shorter as they would be at full strength.

no oc not both catchers can be startersGrin but makes it better that 3rd catcher is playing?? Confused So Cash plays in stead of martinez (sub .200 in comparision to 9 hr and .289) and pedroia is one of their best ones.

I just find it intresting that none mentions here these missing players (for bos or phi) at all?

Teams leave players on the bench regularly (for reasons other than injury), it just isn't as big a factor in baseball as it is in other team sports.

To be fair, it's rare for their to be a deep discussion here about the ins and outs of a particular game. Everyone will have differing opinions about the significance of players who aren't playing, but those opinions rarely get expressed.

One of the non regular players just hit a home run for Boston. It happens - Nava came into the lineup a few weeks ago and hit a grand slam on the first pitch he saw.

thx botl for your answer!

Of course, in the NBA one missing player could change everything. Baseball is totally different. The bet on Boston was mainly influenced by how poor Matt Garza has been in the past few weeks. If the pitcher has a bad day, even players who aren't regular starters can cash in.
