Indeed, although mostly when ahead in the count. He has been dreadful the past 4-6 weeks or so, I joined you in backing the Red Sox in the end.
By:
v good
Marlins with a BIG innings ramirez with a grand slam 3-0 down to 6-3 up in the blink of an eye |
By:
Started off the inning with two outs and no one on too.
By:
oh dear me a bit of a disaster
Nice one Lackey. we could have been 1 down then |
By:
2 metres short both
Red Sox going after shields now |
By:
Get nothing for almost. I think Shields has been quite a lot better than Lackey here, Lackey just doesn't look sharp at all.
By:
By the way, did you see Randy Winn last night in the ARI @ STL game? A similar sort of catch on the warning track, with a man on base. Instead of catching it, he tipped it over the fence like a goalkeeper into the bull pen. Turned a simple fly out into a two run homer.

hopefully them wild pitches will hurt
By:
You'd rather not have Varitek up if you need a hit.
By:
^^ I think i've heard you say that before.
missed it - No mlb.tv = no replay - I'll you tube it |
By:
You can just get it via the highlights on MLB.com.
http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday /index.jsp?gid=2010_06_28_arimlb_slnmlb_1&mode=wrap Just click on Reynolds' two run homer. |
By:
Varitek started the season quite alright, although with a limited number of appearances. Been steadily getting worse, his average will be down to .200 by September.
By:
lol cheers - bet he was popular afterwards
Nice innings Lackey |
By:
You can always watch the highlights from games on MLB.com for free. Just need to click on schedule and then find the previous game you're interested in.
I can laugh now - backed the Cardinals. The bottom of the ninth inning was even more comical. The game ended with a bad throw home that scored runs from second and third it was so bad. You can probably watch that on the same link if you fancy a bit more amusement. I never had this game down for a low-scoring pitching battle. Can't really see the Red Sox scoring any time soon. |

best chance of the night
By:
ESPN went to a break and missed the first three pitches of the at-bat, idiots. Don't fancy Nava either, but hopefully he can get one home at least.
By:
Could see that coming a mile off.
By:
Ortiz will no doubt strike out or have an extra base hit. His average is down this month but decent power when he does hit.
By:
Big poppy my new hero
Big shot |
By:
lol Connected on that one quite well.
By:
lol you're not wrong he did - no doubter as soon as it left the bat
By:
Yes, I'm glad he got the extra base hit rather than the strike out. I just had hit submit post when he hit it! That's his 18th hit this month, only 7 of them singles.
By:
5-0, I wouldn't like to see this one go wrong
By:
evens available for a jays turnaround - erm no thx
By:
Should be fine, would be a pretty hefty blow if they lost from here. Two on now in the seventh, let's hope they don't do a Marlins and give up six.
I wouldn't back the Jays at evens, or even 3/1, but I hope they come back all the same. ![]() |
By:
Will take that there, one run and a base running error to end the inning. Wouldn't have wanted Pena up with two on base.
By:
i've laid off a little, better to be safe than sorry imo
By:
there goes my 4 timer - i decided not to bother with the cards and went for TEX CWS SDP TBJ only v small mind you.
I shall start writing out 1000 times "I MUST NOT DO ACCAS" |

I shall start writing out 100 times "I MUST NOT REPLY TO CRETINS ON THE BETFAIR FOOTBALL FORUM"
![]() You can probably get the pipe and slipper out now after that homer. |
By:

By:
See you next time NBK, been quite a good night thus far. Well done on the Red Sox.
By:
tx and u
couldn't resist one last peek at the footy forum before bed go easy on him tai |
By:
I'm nearly done for the night too. Just doing some laying on the late games, then PC is going off in 15 mins. I'll leave him to ponder how the all conquering Yankees could possibly lose to Seattle.
By:
Anyone getting involved in the early games today?
Never been a fan of Harang, so I think backing the Phillies is just about worthwhile. A low price on the road but I make the fair price about 1.64. |
By:
You might not read this in time but Detroit are a great value bet at 2.34...
By:
I am on the Blue Jays at the Indians 1.82 and the Giants at home to the Dodgers 1.78 tonight.
By:
Evening tai
Just gonna go to the shop to get a few tinnies and when I come back I might pontificate on having a little value flutter on the Dodgers The Giants 8-16 against NL west is not very inspiring Manny is out though and he's been smoking recently (runs that is) Taken unders in St Louis GL |
By:
Indeed, I think Manny had something like 23 hits in 50 at bats to start the moment. Not as many home runs as in past years, but plenty of good hitting. Didn't stop them winning last night when he had to leave the game.
I haven't made any decision on the later games, just seeing what I can get layed in a bit. |
By:
decide to change my mind on the unders at the cards due to the pitchers
