Don't know if this video of the Weidman horror will last long..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEn08A4xRk8 The 2 sec slow mo clip of him trying to stand when his foot is no longer where he thinks @2.25 maybe worth skipping ![]() |
By:
Never in my life do I want to see that again. Absolutely sickening and there's no way he can come back from that at his age and recent record. Hope he can make a full recovery.

Spooky that happening there, when the same thing happened to Silva in their 2nd fight years ago.
Horrible injury, and hopefully makes a full recovery. |
By:
Was insane, especially after Crute's leg dropped/spasming caused the fight before to end. Weidman has been quite injury prone of late, hasn't he? His body telling him it's time to stop. But what happened to him last night was a whole other level of freaky. Fingers crossed he makes a full recovery, and it's time to retire now Chris.
By:
He's had a few injuries, but not sure it's anymore than most. That's a tough one to come back from, though as Luke THomas said sometimes bones are better things to do, than ligaments etc.
Guess we'll know by the end of the year how things have gone, but you can't think he'd have been fighting for a belt anytime soon anyway. |

Has he been offered Khamzat?
![]() ![]() |
By:
it's rumoured. also Masvidal wants to fight him
By:
That would be at 185, I presume?
Not sure if Nick would want to be doing 170 nowadays. Now that's probably the only fight I really want to see Nick in. Get it on 264 in July, lol. |

NICK DIAZ ARMY STAND UP!
By:
Haha, be interesting to see if he takes a fight, and who against.
By:
I think Dana is trying to feed him to Khamzat. Clearly doesn't like the guy very much. But Dana needs to realise that Nick has many fans and it's bad for business to get him beat on his comeback
By:
did you hear the crowd pop for him when they put him on the big screen on Saturday?
By:
Who would? Him and his brother are a ****g pain in the ass.
His comeback, hardly. He's all but retired. He isn't going on some magical run to the title. Dana doesn't need the aggro they both bring, and he has plenty of stuff going on without the grief he gets dealing with them. Dana will be fine without either of the 2 muppets, and the only fight he's going to be bothered about making is the Nate v Conor III, because it paaaaaaaaaaaays. |
By:
Timmy why do you hate the Diaz brothers so much?
![]() |
By:
Because they think they're a lot better/bigger than they actually are.
Conor made Nate, and fair play to him setting himself up off the back of it. Listening to them go on, you'd think they were both GSP level fighters ![]() ![]() |
By:
They'e got a lot of hype behind them, much like Masvidal. In that sense they are overrated relative to their fighting abilities, but so are others like Conor McGregor. I like the Diaz brothers because they connect to the fans and that means you'll always get a great atmosphere when they fight. If you're a purist and into MMA skills only, then I can see why they might annoy you a bit with their trash talking
By:
Trash talking doesn't bother me, it's just the nonsense talk that irritates me
![]() They had a lot of hype behind them, and Nate decided to sit most of the last few years out, smoking his $3m, lol. Nick got shafted, in fairness. However, he's just as bad as his brother for whining on. They're great to watch fight, but it pisses me off they have sabotaged their own careers on the most part. |

NICK DIAZ ARMY STAND UP TIMMY RIGGINS
By:
I can't stand up for too long, my legs get tired.
Be nice if they chuck him on the 264 card, though ![]() |
By:
would be sweet for you!
let's talk about UFC 262. it will come around quickly, only 2 weeks away on May 15th. these are the main fights: Lightweight Charles Oliveira v Michael Chandler Welterweight Leon Edwards v Nate Diaz Lightweight Tony Ferguson v Beneil Dariush how do you see things going? I know you're a huge fan of Leon so you'll pick him to beat Nate. Is Tony Ferguson totally finished or will he bounce back against Dariush? Main event looks a cracker! |
By:
im going with edwards/charlie olives.
edwards i think has value even at 1.25, we saw what a high level guy did to nate when he fought masvidal. while edwards probably has the best chance to beat usman in the whole division atm. not sure how i'm gonna bet olivera yet though, regardless that's a ****g great fight, kinda weird it'll be for the title though. |
By:
Don't think Tony is finished by any stretch, so will definitely back him as an underdog.
Think I'll prob back Chandler as the underdog, too. Even though I want Charlie to win. |

Has he picked someone to fight yet?
By:
nothing confirmed I don't think. don't think it will be Khamzat. Conduit maybe
By:
Condit* that's the rumour anyway
By:
Someone else that's past it makes sense, rather than him possibly getting a hiding off someone, lol.
By:
TIMMY RIGGINS STAND UP! hope he does come back and fight. be interesting to see if he's still competitive after the big layoff
By:
I stood up for a bit at the gym earlier, now I'm sat down again in the office.
Be a good gauge of how far, or if he's fallen off. |
By:
will Jones v Ngannou materialise this summer?
By:
Think Xmas is more likely for that for the end of year supercard in Vegas.
I'll go if I don't get to go to this summer. |
By:
who are your top 3 favourite fighters currently?
By:
Ohhhh... That's a tough one.
Just went with the first three that came to mind. Dustin Francis Gaethje Throw Max in there, too. |
By:
I thought you were a Conor man, TR?
