A slightly dissappointing day yesterday. The Max bet 5pts ew Azzura Du Caprio ran okay in third but never really looked likely to win at any stage. Returned at an sp of 5/1 meant a break even on the race. The only other bet was 2pts ew on Rio's Girl who led going to the final furlong and looked beaten at the time when hampered, therefore a loss of £40.00 was incurred on the day.
The initial starting bank of £1,000 now stands at £1,977.00. A very interesting day lies ahead which includes the 3rd Max Bet on this system and the second lay bet with four races to get involved in.

Bet One: 3.00 Bath 1pt each way Talamhana and 5pt lay of Wooden King.
To recap, in order to qualify as a lay bet the horse must be fav on bf and none of the group must have selected it as their choice of winner. Given the form of Wooden King i was surprised that no one picked this one, but anyway at around 7/2, this gives a liability of around £175-£180.00 at 5pts. Talamahana was an interesting choice with over half of the group having this in the first three. Currently at 25/1 and higher. Layout approx £200.00

Bet Two: 3.40 Wolverhampton Max Bet 5pts each way Ace Master. Every member of the group chose this to finish in the frame, with a fair number of them selecting it to win. Layout £100.00

Two runners stood out here with slight preference for the Ffrench-Davis Horse. Layout £70.00

Bet Four: 7.40 Leicester 1pt each way Understory

Again two runners stood out in this. Layout £50.00
