In the 5f dash at Doncaster I've taken some 7.4 this morning about Captain Dunne in the 3.10, followers of my blog will know that he has done us proud for trading purposes in the past and I hope that he can do again today. He has halved in price in running in all ten of his most recent races in this country and in eight of them he traded down to 2.6 or lower, and he has been available to trade in all of his last 15 races over 5 furlongs. I'm not too bothered about the weather, a little rain wouldn't put me off, however he is not nailed on as he does not have the best draw today and our fate will be known quite early I think, normally his early speed is enough to overcome this though. Backed at 7.4 leave me needing an in running lay off price of 4.4 for an all green screen to the value of 1.3 pts, thats 2pts win and 3.35 pts lay off, or lay off at 4.8 for a 1pt all green screen, thats 2pts win and 3.05 pts lay. Taking a price this early can be a gamble in itself as a drift is always possible, currently best prices at the books are 6/1 with Ladbrokes and Coral so it is possible he may drift on the exchanges.
