In the last at Sandown tonight a gelding who has improved no end since being introduced to handicaps and did even better when upped to this sort of distance last time out is May Contain Nuts. This is a slightly stronger raced than he faced last time but he should still go well enough to give us a trade this evening. His first three races are easily forgettable but in his last two races, both handicaps he has traded down to 3 from 60 and to 1.22 from 7.8, the latter performance was over this distance at Yarmouth on going similar to tonights. He may or may not win but we know he will handle the ground and that he will get the distance. Backed at 10 leaving a lay off price in running of around the 6 mark for an all green screen to the value of 1.3 points or lay off at 6.6 for a 1 point all green profit.
Wow, that's hopeful freehax - I normally find that they often drift before the off and sometimes wait, just couldnt resist the 9.2 this time, it will be annoying if it drifts back out to 10. still fingers crossed as you say.
May Contain Nuts traded down to 6.6 long before the off, but sadly the non runner and reduction factor had a lot to do with it and it will not have helped anyone taking an early price, unless you got the 10.0 that I did
He didnt trade after that, drifted and did not trade in running even though he finished second, these things happen. One winner and one loser for the day.
