Leopardstown on TG4 live today at 2.30.
By:
only found out about Leopardstown when talking to a family member just now
would have liked to have see the 2.45 on the tv coz my internet was iffy all weekend had a nice position on French Dynamite as it looked like a bot gone wrong was laying him at 1.34 to 1.45 late last night i used up my bank at 1.35 and was surprised to see it go even higher was back to 1.20 this morning as it happened it had a few sketchy jumps but won it well in the end |

televising Naas next Sunday apparently
By:
They are televising the next 6 Sundays, think there is a double meeting or two in that also.
By:
Fair play to them..
By:
Good coverage.
By:
Nice to know , ty lads
By:
French Dynamite wasn't straightforward considering its SP alright, there were a few moments just before turning in when it had a race on its hands.
By:
I'd have been worried if I'd took the 1/7 alright..
By:
Puppy had to get serious for a few strides
![]() |
By:
Punchestown , Robcour their horses are not progressing as much as I thought , you got an opinion..?
By:
Naas on TG4 tomorrow, who are you talking about workrider?
By:
Plenty of young horses last year that I thought would come on and bring them right up to the next level , only F.Dynamite seems to have progressed to the level I expected so far , for the amount of money he's put in not really showing it worthwhile just yet..
By:
They're not exactly setting the world on fire alright.
By:
great coverage today Naas and Limerick
pics on my phone well ahead of TG4 though some lads need to gin up on their maths offering better odds on 4TBP comparing to 3TBP on Yukon Lil not that it mattered much |

Fairyhouse
Saturday TG4 Sunday RTE Monday RTE |
By:
2.20 Fairyhouse Mares Chase
I think Elimay will have too much toe for Mount Ida Been weak all morning but i think that is JP trying to get a price for later on rest of the card isn't appealing but tomorrow is much better as expected |
By:
WD
jessies are in form, and she always targets the spring, could she win the big one tomorrow 33/1? also 2 more darts at 14/1. Prob all worth a ew extra flutter. |
By:
good luck all with the national
will be throwing small stakes at a few outsiders and laying Sempo 4.20 is a conundrum fakir d has the form but tough race at Cheltenham and trainer form a worry i can't have battleoverdoyen at this time of year, on this ground and again trainer aint great i wouldn't normally want Easy Game but 5s when his market rivals could flop will do for me Willie's are running well eventhough the's had a lot of fallers |
By:
3.50
stormy Ireland has returned to Mullins i doubt she will run well but won't be laying her French Dynamite- small stakes |
By:
Cupwinkcook, you dodged a bullet there..
By:
had more sense than to lay Stormy Ireland, Workrider
Deffo dodged a bullet in Sempo small place lay (just about) bit more on the win lay, Sempo kept creeping into it, looked ominous until about 2 out made my money on Easy Game pity about the nrs, ruined any plans for place laying Battleoverdoyen |
By:
on the subject of the Stormy Ireland switch
thought she benefitted from a very good ride from Danny Mullins today some of the defeats in England could have been turned into wins with the right pilot on board shows the gulf at Cheltenham is partly down to assistance in the saddle |
By:
I got her wrong yesterday as well, I thought she needed it softer. Training methods rather than jockey ship is how I see it, many of those English lads talk a good game but when the money is down its our lads who win time after time..

By:
Aintree on UTV and Virgin Media1 Thurs Fri Sat
Opening show itv4 9.30 each morning no meeting last year so less course form(good and bad) on offer 2m4f hurdle is particularly intriguing good luck all, will post my twaddle at some stage |

1.45
a good open race, lack of track form doesn't give enough to go on place lay Umbrigado was handed the race the last day and lacks a touch of class 2.20 top 2 very admirable, hard to split John Locke has the profile to pinch 3rd 2.50 clan, waiting, mr fisher all too short tiger roll form all on other types of obstacles - lay native river - diddled here before Christmas with the obstacles omitted, ground ok, always runs well here, jonjo ok but not ideal - Back dunno what to make of Real Steel 3.25 another good open race i can't have Abracadras or Song for someone Jason Brewinupastorm and McFabulous positives skipping the foxhunters 4.40 Moon over Germany small stakes 5.15 Been watching Eileendover all season she gets weight as a 4yo and could hack up i am on at evens and i will take my chances elle est belle respected especially with course form |

By:
Smashing write up Cup, its always nice when someone takes the time to do their homework , a right tricky card as far as I can see, only bet I'm having right now is Willies in the F/Hunters. Good luck today...
By:
Arthur Moore ...........what a great trainer and proves the old saying class is permanent. Must have really fancied it taking on COVID19 and Brexit to travel. Great memories of Arthur and Tom Taaffe........... big hurdles gambles and many landed...............great trainer

A mixed day, more bad than good.
I got Abracadras wrong, think it would have won handy regardless of the Jason the Militant fall but it did help Abracadras cruised throughout Clan Des Obeaux is frustrating Having opposed him at Haydock, I backed him at Kempton and Ascot the latter in particular was disappointing He was devastating today having ran ok previously at Aintree tough card tomorrow but will put down a few thoughts on the Grade 1s |

Third Time Lucki is too short at 4.8 for me If Henderson has Dusart ready, then i would prefer him at 3.0 it's an odd race though 4.40 Bravemansgame is a hell of a horse, the 2 that beat him at Cheltenham are top class The opposition is uninspiring I am not convinced Aintree will suit Bravemansgame and despite Nicholls being in form, it's more the fresh horses doing the job He had a tough race in the Ballymore Right horse, wrong race imo 2.50 Very interesting race Chantry House should beat these Espoir De Romay for 2nd You can shoot holes in the others Some mightn't go on the track, hard to assess but Fiddlerontheroof is one i don't think will cope Shan Blue is a lovely jumper but i think he is over the top Sporting John could get outpaced Big Breakaway is solid enough, but can't see him winning Neither Hobbs or Tizzard yards are going well Silver Hallmark should be 20s not 12s but should run ok Empire Steel isn't good enough |

I am happy to oppose Fakir D at the price tough race at the festival ran once before at Aintree, nk 2nd in a bad 4yo hurdle, so inconclusive Stable not going great Politologue is solid, reasonable record at Aintree, fresh, stable form just a feeling something might do him like last time i don't like the fact that Nicholls has multiple runners either the 2 outsiders aren't for me Nuts Well ran a cracker at Aintree in the old roan is fresh and despite not having a high profile is close enough on official ratings if the race was anywhere else i wouldn't back him but here i would Dashel Drasher is solid and holds TommyTucker on the last day and i wouldn't be laying him master tommytucker could do well at the track but i think he is over the top will try to turn the above into a betting strategy |
By:
would also be interested in what Kevin Blake has to say tmrw morning
talks a lot of sense |
By:
Great posts Cupwinkcook,I like Dusart as well and Cape Gentleman in the staying novice race.I wouldn't be going mad on either of them though as I've been hopeless since Cheltenham.
By:
Good luck today Cup, Shan Blue is one I'll give a second chance to today, surely Harry wont make the same mistake again, another I'll be having a small bet on is Any News had word for it awhile back , will look into the later races soon. Punchestown unlike your good self I'm doing fine so far, after all the talk about Rachel falling off yesterday out of spite I had a £10 on her in the bumper @ 25/1 on here. A tiny bet I know but amazingly it worked out...
Good luck today . |

Sunday TG4 Tramore and Dundalk
Willie Mullins has fancied horses inmost of the races but reading his column he isn't that confident about them Ayr and Newbury on VM1 and UTV with the better quality racing |

some great racing in prospect at Punchestown next week
Early evening start times, RTE2 coverage from 4pm Sandown Flat on Friday ITV4 Sandown Jumps on ITV Saturday Navan TG4 on Sunday Early thoughts on Sandown's big races You can keep the Bet365 Cup, run of the mill handicap, not for me The Select Hurdle looks interesting. Pic Dorrhy wouldn't be for me and doubt he will stay, will be looking for alternatives Oaksey Chase 2m6.5f The 2 outsiders are unlikely to be involved I don't like Mister Fisher, way too many jumping errors Frodon ran readonably well at Sandown in his one outing there will benefit from a tactical ride from Bryony trip about ideal at the forecast 1.65 would be my idea of a rock solid bet Celebration Chase 2m Put the kettle on gets 7lbs mates allowance on the basis that Altior isn't worth his 169 rating anymore, 4 should be in the shakeup of the outsiders, if Nuts Well handles the track i would prefer him to Dolos and Ornua if there was a match bet between Nuts Well and Ornua, 1.7 Nuts Well would do me (working off forecast prices 14s v 20s) in the main event : writing off Altior could be foolish Track record and in this race is exemplary If his rating was 165 instead of 169 he would have as good a chance as any if he ran to it Will he though? And i wouldn't believe a word of what his trainer has to say about him Greaneteen reasonable runs all season including at Sandown will need the other 3 to underperform but should be in the shake up again i would question his 164 rating Sceau Royal Felt sorry for connections as was going well at Chelt when clattered 3 out Get the feeling something will go wrong for him again but dangerous if putting it all together again reasonable track form Put the kettle on Cheltenham specialist and she could be 10 lbs better there so she isn't value at 7 to 4 given Sandown is considerably different on a side note, connections sticking with Coleman is commendable and probably the right decision given the rides he has given her not a fan of Coleman in general though this race will tell us a lot and if she jumps well i would be inclined to go back for the Tingle Creek coz ground and/or the hard race at Chelt could undo her |
By:
Looking for a one two with henry's in the celebration at sandown. Don't think good to firm is PTKO 's ground and wouldn't be shocked if ORNUA turned up.

By:
De Bromhead needs to get his thinking cap on for alternative courses for Put the Kettle On
Cheltenham in November and March is a given A midwinter race is less obvious with Tingle Creek almost certainly ruled out Leopardstown at Christmas probably isn't her bag either Punchestown Tuesday has 2 fabulous races Monkfish Envoi Allen Coolreevy Franco de Port Chacun Por Soi Nube Negra Allaho First Flow Cilaos Emery Castlegrace Paddy Daly Tiger 2m nov hurdle has a diappointing turnout, 5 runners headed by Echoes in Rain and Blue Lord |
