My Dark Rosaleen .. poem by James Clarence Mangan, if your up in dublin Wildman you could do worse than visit the grave of J.C.M. in Glasnevin , to be honest i couldn,t understand what he was saying in the poem except to think that Roseleen was Ireland of that time,
Daniel O'Connell, Charles Stewart Parnell, Michael Collins, Éamon de Valera, and many others are Buried in Glasnevin. PS i did the tour of Glasnevin cemetary over a year ago -when we stop at Dev;s family graves;one of the women in our group lay Roses on Dev;s grave and another spit on the grave. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Clarence_Mangan#/media/File:Grave_of_James_Clarence_Mangan.jpg |

Some fair value there I thought looking at the prices . I didn't see them of course but bought by respected buyers so have to think they looked ok. |

A colt by Dubawi topped a strong opening day of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale and became the highest priced yearling in the world this year when selling for 2.6 million guineas on Tuesday. Well Done to the shower of headcases syndicate. Yous have a nice to start

Chances are the 2 Dubawi's bought for 2.6m and 2.1m will not make the track or turn up in a November Wolverhampton maiden.

Just saw where 50+ Ballydoyle inmates are going to the Horses-in-Training sales ...some unraced , others rated from 50 to 100.
Must try to watch out and see what kind of money they get. They're all bred in the purple but in many cases the gene mix didn't do what it was supposed to. Still the quality is there and a shrewd trainer will probably squeeze out a win eventually -if only in a claimer with a 7lb apprentice up. ![]() |

Are we buying the horse or not? What's your address workrider and I'll post the cheque?

Great to see you alive and kicking thegalwayman....Olddesperado might find it a interesting sale, I would never buy from them if AOB cant get them to win or progress what chance does anyone else. I would love to be able to afford one of the fillies though, its nearly impossible to get into that kind of bloodlines without the odd million or two in your pocket...

workrider I'm not sure how far you've got with this project but definitely count me in. Let me know how much you need up front and then every month and I'll send it across to you.
Listen though I'm only coming in on this if we have it contractually agreed between the pair of us that we're calling the horse 'The Bohemian'! ![]() |

A few of you might know from another online forum I decided to go it alone.
I bought a mare that failed to get in foal the last two years, but had the filly foal she was carrying when bought, and that will be a 2yo on 1st January. Then I bought a second mare in December 2018, she had the foal she was carrying, and she is now carrying a foal I planned. With luck she will have the foal in the spring. |

All the best with that Kincem, I really hope it works out for you.

Soldieroffortune, sadly I must refuse your offer , calling a horse The Bohemian is not my idea of a WINNER!....

Best of luck kincem.
It's a tough game but like myself I'm sure your loving every minute of it. Sometimes at 5:30 am in the pitch dark and freezing cold I question whether I'm mad or not but then I'm off work early some days and I see them cantering across the field back in and it's all worthwhile whether I ever make money or not. I'll freely admit it was about money when I started but now all I care about is each horse. Their welfare will always be the priority. |

Kin, one could have bought the great Faugheen for €4K as a foal. He later sold for €12K as a 3yo. BofL

Things like that are the dream cmiyc.
That's why all us bottom enders stay going. Btw if the jp Henderson horse who is 1/1s wins the last at chelts tomorrow it's yet another black type winner in my youngest fillys page. Impressive last time he will take all the beating although a decent race in fairness. |
