It won't happen by the Irish Goverment, Hungary,Poland and Italy are doing their best and realise the threat of a savage culture.
Unless people instead of being apathetic move to more far right views (Pegida is a start) it will remain as is. You couldn't make it up,the doors thrown open, they hate us(infidels) and the bleeding hearts bating each other to show how good they are. Madness, and the only hope is ordinary people can speak up(uncensored),the future is bleak. |

I can but dream.
We are in a good position in that we don't have the Muslim no go areas yet but the way our leaders capitulate to Europe its odds on Merkel will make us take the ones Germany doesn't want. |
|
By:
What a spineless bunch the Europeans(and Ireland) are,on a whim of Merkel and we are supposed to just accept it whatever chancers are foisted on us? Bit different with her country in regards workforce and aging population but the likes of Greece,Spain and even Ireland have enough fiscal problems for their own.
According to the 2011 census they are very nearly 500,000 non nationals calling Ireland their home, most are welcome, they work and contribute to the excheqeur and generally they act in a civilised fashion,it isn't a bad thing though persoally think the figure is enough as i would like to see Ireland/Irish as a nation/race keep some semblance of its own identity. With all that has gone on with these fake refugees behaviour in Europe in mere months, sure Enda or whoever will at least have a referendum(it could even surpass Lisbon numerically), maybe i'm dreaming as well though. |
|
By:
Surely its the east europeans who are bleeding thre irish "systems" dry imo
However im sure isis see ireland as a soft touch target as garda intelligence would not be the best imo and thats a big worry . |
|
By:
The East Europeans don't want to kill us.
The East Europeans will assimilate. Its the East Europeans who are leading the way in objecting to Germany's plan to winnow out the refugees and force some unwanted on other European countries. |
|
By:
The Eastern Europeans also work , yes for a lot less than we do ,but at least they give something back . On the other hand over 90% of Muslims DONT work , have a wild guess when they get their money from .. Correct...

Wise words tony57.
Anyway wouldn't these people be better off remaining in an environment and climate they're accustomed to. Why would anyone want to come to Dublin -an overcrowded crime-ridden kip or to the god-forsaken rain-lashed flooded bogholes west of the M50 ? Or to a country where Michael Healy-Rae might be a Minister ? ![]() ![]() |

Vubiant don't underestimate Michael Healy Rae.
Forget the cap, forget the staccato delivery and listen to what he says,he speaks a lot of sense. When asked in true RTE emotional style what to do about Syrian refugee he replied you solve the homeless crisis here first as well as the hospital problem. Aine Lawlor looked shocked I'm still in a state of shock. |

I see the offer of beds to theses refugees seems to have dried up...

Where do you see that Wonks? Probably the same place you saw the 'fact' that "90% of Muslims don't work".
And anyone who claim that "we should stop all Muslim immigration" is an intellectual Pygmy. With apologies to all Pygmies tuning in. |

What? Innocent people going about their business guilty of nothing except being in the wrong place at the wrong time butchered by fruit loops and you wonder why people are angry?
A very high number of moslems(800) in Belgium going to fight for their religion, you may have underestimated the number of that aren't fundamentalist. They all read the same book don't they. You have evaded the question of their attitude to women and why they consider us(Western people) infidels, don't be so naive to come out yet again with that's the minority spiel yet again. |
|
By:
Fair play Micheal Healy-Rae btw.

i see the tide is turning, the left are now having to back track and meet the worrys of the people, all i see is normal working people in area who are labour and trade unionists starting to say, dont let anymore in..till we prove who they are?..and we must vote out of eu. there will always be aid for these people but they must be kept in camps near there own countrys..jordan have a few that have schools hospitals etc...
|
|
By:
Its bizarre that the european security/ intelligence agencies apparently dont share info about i.s. Terrorists etc
Belgium/france especially seem to have problems |

By:
i see the tide is turning, the left are now having to back track
It's never been the Left, you Pleb. Champagne Socialists, Liberals and Humanitarians...Yes. The enlightened educated Right and Big Business....Yes. But the Left's core support is the Working man with skills that a Migrant can easily replicate at half the price ...the Left has always had the most to fear. |
|
By:
its the left that crys when the pictures of people are shown dying, was it not the labour party that made this goverment take in refugees, dont tell me about the left soft lad, since time began workers from other countrys have under cut others or scabs breaks strikes....but at the heart of the left is a caring humanity for a better internatinal world...thats the left ive always been with not any other.

What? Innocent people going about their business guilty of nothing except being in the wrong place at the wrong time butchered by fruit loops and you wonder why people are angry?
Pull yourself together, Pa. I have never wondered why people are angry. Everyone is angry about indiscriminate terror. Its a question of where this anger is directed. They all read the same book don't they. Yes, but it becomes a question of interpretation. Much of the dirt you throw at Islam relates only to strain of Islam, Wahhabism. Isil is the latest extreme radical reinterpretation of Wahhabism. They even consider non-Wahhabist Muslims as their enemy (within). Feel free to go all Donald and call for these guys to be wiped from the face of the earth. Just don't be the simpleton who rails against all Islam. |
|
By:
yes they do consider other forms of islam as infidels..but my worry is that a lot that are here already want to change our countrys,,they want sharia law to be the same as british law, they want mosques all over the place ,they want all that we give but then when we go to their countrys we get are heads cut off for wanting to live as we do?..ive come to the conclusion that most of the people born into islam are not compatable with western life..and should not be allowed to live in it.
|

Back up the truck, Tony!
ive come to the conclusion that most of the people born into islam are not compatable with western life..and should not be allowed to live in it. Most, Tony, MOST? Really? What are you like? |

Cherry picking again?
You still evade their attitude towards women. As said before i have lived in Ilford, not a day went by with hatred shown and more than once knives were brandished, maybe unlucky enough to keep bumping into these wahibism guys but the sneaking suspicion is i was veiwed as an infidel and they weren't all wahibis. There and surrounding areas were abandoned by myself and most of the then indigneous population. It isn't only wahhibism but also the more conservative deobandi(both have a presence in British mosques) that are anti western, why are you also evading that question. |
|
By:
You still evade their attitude towards women.
Can you be more precise, please? Who's attitude towards Women? I have lived in the world's most populus Muslim country, 200 odd million of them, I saw no issue with their attitude towards women. Equally, I studied alongside Muslim women from many corners of the world. I am friendly with many Muslim women who are amongst the leaading lights in their respective professions. Of course there are backward strains of Islam where their attitudes towards women are barbaric, no one is suggesting otherwise. If you are refering to these strains, can you please do so in the question. Articulate, Pa. |

ozy has this mistaken belief that hes oh so much smarter than everyone else when in fact hes just a boring **** full of self importance.im not a fan of religion in any form and some religions are much more fcuked up than others, muslim being a prime example! get the muslims out and dont let any more back in.
|
|
By:
ozzy,
a muslim thinktank has said 33% of muslims in britain support sharia law? also they have sympathy for the views spouted by the paris attackers? is this not enough?i was very sympathetic to letting a lot of the refugees in...but we must be realistic now, these people will not and cannot intergrate in our countrys. |
|
By:
oz, read this

By:
Tony, please don't do a Wonks and just lazily quoted a figure with no reference to its precise source or provenance.
There are plenty of specialised websites whose main function is to quote such findings in order to further their agenda. Their headline will be "20% have sympathy for the Terrorists views"....and buried near the bottom of the article will be the finding that over 99% of British Muslims thought the bombers were wrong to carry out the atrocity. Usually based on a paltry 500 respondents. And its all about how the question is phrased. The shame of it is that indiscriminate lazy tarring of all Muslims with the same brush further increases their communities feelings of isolation and alienation from mainstream society. |

Indonesia has a thriving democracy, a free press, a wide range of vigorous nongovernmental organizations, and vibrant social media. There are many more than 200 million Muslims in Indonesia, yet Secular national parties get a bigger vote than Islam-based parties at election after election. Even more important, the political parties loosely based on Islamic associations or identities are overwhelmingly moderate.
Islam in Indonesia is self-confident in its identity, both its religious and its civic identity. It has long, old, continuous indigenous traditions of Islamic practice and scholarship. It furnishes its citizens with many acceptable ways to be Islamic. Although Indonesian Muslims are a numerical majority, they live alongside Hindus and Buddhists who predated them on the island, and they share and mix spiritual traditions. Indonesia’s national motto is bhinneka tunggal ika, or “unity in diversity,” and that ethos is central to the country’s Muslim traditions Each time the Islamic State, commits violence in the name of Islam, a familiar refrain arises: What’s the Muslim world doing about it? In Indonesia, a massive anti-extremism movement is underway. Nahdlatul Ulama, or NU, is the largest independent Islamic organization in the world, with 50 million members. NU’s stated goal is to “to spread messages about a tolerant Islam in their respective countries to curb radicalism, extremism and terrorism,” which, it claims, “often spring from a misinterpretation of Islamic teachings.” It launched its global anti-extremism initiative in 2014. |

The words to note are "Which it claims" . "Often spring from a misinterpretation of Islamic teachings. " Sound familiar anyone...

There is however Sharia Law in parts of Indonesia and a history of ethnic cleansing. If Indonesia is as good as Ozymandius claims why aren't they taking in refugees. |
