There will be some people sitting uncomfortably watching this into the small hours. I allude to the £175 matched on Oosthuizen at 999/1 on here.

Do you think he has the Mentality as well as the ability to do it Callit?
I wouldn't be a huge Gold fan but have thrown a few quid on Shane for a bit of interest as thought his odds were too big given he's only 3 behind,
Haven't really seen that much of him tbh thats why i ask.

Biffo has had a 69 and 2 70s. If he can shoot another one of those he's got a chance. I notice lots are over par so far.

I don't know myself tbh Chelt. He probably doesn't know himself either.

Lets hope we all get the chance to find out.

He has talked a good game this week, and being out of the limelight of the last couple of groups could be a blessing in disguise. I wouldn't be mad keen on the bottle of any of those in front of him barring Spieth. So as Clerk says, if he lobs in a 69, well it could get him a playoff.

One under through 5 would be a lovely start. He be in the mix then, settled into the round, and pre round nerves allayed. Lets hope its not an anti climax for him....and us!!

Layed Luiten in his 2ball , I think Reed has more aggressing in him , Luiten might bottle it and worth a lay @2.76.

Suppose the danger WR is that Luiten will be playing for a top ten, Reed will still be gunning the win. He may get the reward for being gung ho, but its not really the course for it.

Good start for Rory today. If he holes that putt on the third, he could ignite. Not what I wanted. Was hoping he would shoot couple over, and leave Shane with an easy task to finish off Top Irish.

Rory has played well enough to win this week. I know everyone is missing putts, but Rory has missed bucket loads of 50-50s. I cant wait for St. Andrews!!

Today is the 50-year anniversary of Gary Player completing his career grand slam at 1965 US Open. Mickelson will have wait another year.

For all the complaints about the golf course the cream is at the top and it's going to produce a good finish. Think the complaining has been way over the top.

I've the matchsticks out myself, bad miss there by Rory, the story of his week, still -1 with whats left would give him a good shout with faster greens later, hopefully Shane can get back on track after that approach.

Class performance from Schwartzel.

The tougher the challenge the better he is.

Bad bogey there for DJ.

Spieth is due to hole a big one soon. Might ignite him.
