Have had a decent e.w bet on Quel Esprit in the Hunters at 4s. Massive price imo. I doubt they will see which way he goes.

mullin says in rp preview quel worked badly in punchestown last week so be carful.
By:
max Id take anything Mullins says with a rather large pinch of salt, that could just as easily mean Quel is the biggest certainty of all time, virtually everything he says comes with a cautionary note.

I thought Lyreen Legend ran a cracker in the Lexus, considering it was his first time out of novice company and first run of the season. He was beaten a little over 8 lengths by a Gold Cup winner which is solid form. He has more potential for improvement than any other horse in the race and I expect a good run.
Tammys Hill is the value in the hunters chase. I like the fact that a top jockey is on board because he jumped badly the last day. With a clean round of jumping I expect him to be much closer and hopefully ahead of On the Fringe (who could suffer from the dreaded "Bounce")There are a couple of former top class performers in the race but it is debatable whether they retain their old ability. |

1.15 - Plinth probably should win this, will back chance orgiglio bay who looks over priced
1.45 - Tudor fashion e/w bet 2.15 - Have backed tullow tank for cheltenham and think he will win today as well, should be odd on today imo 2.45 - no bet race but have a feeling ruby might nick it from the front 3.15 - the might milan a very big price here 3.45 - not a big first lieutenant fan,no bet for me but would probably go with tidal bay if pushed 4.15 - On the fring a terrible price imo and will probably lay him, expect tammy hill to reverse the form 4.45 - very tough race, fentons might win this |

On The Fringe certainly seems very short to me. Its not the first time he has been over hyped before a big assignment.
I think First Lieutenant would be a certainty on good ground, but todays surface takes a bit of class out of it, and the war of attrition element into it. Ruby being back on board Tidal Bay is obviously a massive plus. I am still sore about the Welsh National!! |

Small fields in the big races the order of the day it seems , first a match , O'briens or Mullins ..The match makes it no easier , Willies lad will be all the better for that Naas win .AOB'S got first run on him the last day they met I think Ruby was too confident and was caught sleeping , having said that Plinth after making a hash of the last won going away ..So a tough call between the pair , who said this game was easy ...The grd 1 nov is something similar , with TTT v VAUTOR been the main protagonists , some on here seem to think Quickpick is a danger to both , can't see that been the case myself ..Willie has a line through M .P with TTT so must be fairly confident , again its begs the question , whoever said this game was easy ..We moves on to the best N/Chase this season so far imo ...Full of intrigue , all three having a massive chance , Don Cossack finally put to bed any doubts one might have had about him with his gutsy win the last day . Ballycasey full of potential after a smooth Navan win at a distance too short for him .Willie held this fellow in the highest regard and viewed him as his best chance at Cheltenham last season , sadly for me and to my cost he was withdrawn on the morning of the race ..Carlingford is a horse thats been there done that , more like a hardened h/capper than a novice , his win last time been very impressive , the question is , will he be as effective dropping back in trip ...I will be laying Ballycasey ...Enjoy the day ...

I still think Ivan could turn out to be a massive price post race.
Sailors Warn interests me decent hurdler in the past and showed a modicum of promise on his comeback, might be more forward today?, so might risk a small few quid ew on him. |
By:
1.15 Ivan Grozny put in improved run at Naas and I think will win today.
2.15 I will follow The Tullow Tank until beaten and I dont think it will be today. 2.45 Good race despite only 3 runners but trip and ground in Don Cossacks favour. 3.50 First Lietenant to finally get a big one. 4.20 On the Fringe a crazy price and I think Tammys Hill is good value. 4.50 A competitive bumper . Take a chance with Volvalien. Good Luck all. |
By:
why is on the fringe a crazy price?..on its form its entitled to be fav.add in nina and its a fair price
By:
Actually fancy Tammy's hill to reverse the form with O T F Tammy's lost a good bit of ground at start at d/royal last time no bet yet and not sure either will win race having a decent bet on mullins in the 1st and take it fron there ballycasey looks a bet also

Opinions are what it is all about but for me On The Fringe at 5/4 in a very hot race that 3 live dangers in Quel Esprit,Tammys Hill and Pandorama and a few live outsiders as well is a crazy price win or lose. I thought Tammys Hill seemed to be ridden as if he only had Salsify to beat at Down Royal and will be better today. Plus the fact On the Fringe is a horse there has always been a lot of hype about.

Any opinion on the Tullow Tank KL?
By:
I can give you positives or negs about the tullow tank, footie....end of day danny mullins at 11/10 in a grade 1....can win on his own steam.......look if you want a bet go through the menu on louth v laois.....-1 5/4,-2 7/4, -3 12/5....that should collect unless louth implode.

By:
Plinth has a good engine but not a natural jumper.
I'd keep him for the flat henceforth. |
By:
Plinth didn't jump a hurdle. Still managed to confirm form with Ivan. I think that puts paid to the silly prices on Ivan for the Triumph.
By:
Dodgy start for the lays

Fair point KL Cheers
By:
very disappointing the 2 of them imo..as has been said plinth carnt jump, and the mullins horse may just not be good enough? although I will always forgive one bad run?..is the winner good enough to win the triumph?won well enough there to be fair!
By:
Tiger Roll ran well on only his 2nd start, was been ridden a fair way out - looked a stayer
I see he has a decent half brother Ahzeemah (by Dubawi) who has shown he's a high class stayer on the flat |
By:
Im happy with my Le Rocher docket anyway. Saw nothing there to be remotely worried about.
By:
that going is not heavy guys unless the first race was a furlong shorter
By:
carnt belive the nicholls horse wins so easy@exeter..i backed it the last twice and it through in the towel when looking all over the winner, this game just boots you in the balls

a master class of a ride by ruby!
By:
Yeah, we'll miss him when he finishes for sure. Great ride, knew exactly what he had and didn't give the horse a hard time over the last few as he knew the Tank wasn't going to lay a glove on him.

Louth Implode LOL

By:
really think Ballycasey is a massive price 3.2 on the machine ....The only reason Don Cossack beat Carlingford Lough the last day was McCoy hit the front too soon and horse idled ( which he admitted ) .... I fancy Ballycasey out of the way here ....
By:
Agree Mick, gone in as well

laid the Don, fancy one of the two will beat him I should say
