Any opinions? For me Wicklow are over priced (10/3 with Ladbrokes). Meath are no longer a formidable opponent come championship. Wicklow enter the game on the back of a morale boosting preliminary round win over Longford while its been nearly seven weeks since Meath's league final defeat to Monaghan.
I expect a closely fought encounter, touch and go stuff. Wexford await the winners in the semis.

I played senior football in Sligo for my club side. Scored 2-2 in one game v the top side in Sligo at the time. Quit sport shortly after but still played some GAA when i used to come back in the summer.

in fairness he meets high powered gaa officials in the gaels clubhouse regularly he said before(to discuss low crowds and rules of the game etc!?!?)..funnily enough it was the gaels clubhouse in dublin!!

In any case, here goes again....
My main interest this weekend is the Maigh Eo/Ros Comáin match. So far this year the teams in Division 1 have ruthlessly disposed of lower ranked opposition. Mayo are available -5 against the 3rd division Rossies. They were -3 against Gaillimh who comfortably beat Ros Comáin last year. While I am wary of interpreting form lines over literally in the football I would be confident Maigh Eo can cover the five points.

meath have alot to work on.a back line that is very dicey.they are just not tight enough,king is not good enough to play centre back.a good team will go straight up the middle and kill them.their mid field is very average,they go missing.meath's best players are all up front and imo,sheridan has to be in from the start,the guy has matured and can lead.

Rosscommon +11, 11/10. History has proven Mayo will kick 10 wides into
Laois get a goal to lead by 1-10 to 0-12 but Galway go straight up field and Joe gets a goal for the Tribesmen. Laois giving them a great fight but now down 1-13 to 1-10, ten to go.
2nd Galway Goal prob kills em off but they were lookin like pullin off one of the biggest shocks ever there for 60 mins!

Credit Mayo - kicked a few wides in the last 10 mins when the match was well over but a great conversion rate again today.
Kick passing, ball handling, work rate etc were all very good.
Only negative was missing their 2 goal chances.
Worth a pop at 6/1 for me.

different tactics today ,against galway mayo played out wide exploited galways lack of pace before dropping the ball in short. today they decided to take the points from deep and play the percentage game both sets of game plans worked hopefully we can continue to bring something new to each game as it comes
Carrot even at this stage hard to see who will stop Mayo for a 4 in a row and that's amazing considering you've not yet won this years one.
tbh ,this is the worse thing that can happen to this mayo team,steam roll the cannon fodder to a connaught title and then go in cold at the knockout stage against 1 of the big guns.

Could not have them on my mind at 6's, don't really think that proved anything today. When the final was in the melting pot last year, Donegal always had them at arm's length. I don't think they'll beat a serious team in a close game, the clock beat the Dubs in the semi.

Richters , you are closer to the action than I am nowadays , have we a snowballs of upsetting Donegal if thats the match ? Cant see our backs getting a lot of ball in the air vs Murphy and McFadden , they have both been excellent so far .
