have they fooooked this horse up.....the biggest hype horse for a while......ran it in glue like ground at fairyhouse at easter wher it trailed in 8th when first horse beaten, wins a poor bumper at listowel and they send it straight over fences where it falls at the first....this could heardly be installing a big pile of confidence in the beast....has the ship sailed with the big money offers for this horse.....i would think so....

Ur incorrect. In fact thy have done nearly everything right. Thy has him since foal.
Report richters October 14, 2012 8:00 PM BST
still dont think they will get anything near what they were allegedly offered for the horse......
Report Jumping October 14, 2012 8:03 PM BST
That's not what matters. Owners not in it for quick buck. Even if a horse lines up in a grade one it will be worth it for them or most owners. Just relax and see how he will do ;)
Report richters October 14, 2012 8:07 PM BST
i hope im wrong jumping but i would be sceptical about the horse after today....i thought a few runs over hurdles wuda been a better prep rather than the big limerick fences....but thats just my opinion.....
Report CheltenhamRoar October 14, 2012 8:12 PM BST
Now would be the perfect time for Jp to step in with an offer Wink
Report CheltenhamRoar October 14, 2012 8:18 PM BST
richters, thats easy to say after he's fallen today,Connections obviously think he's an out and out chaser and dont see the point in wasting any time getting him over fences,Remember connections of Joncol done the same, and he wasn't too bad
Report mitch leary October 14, 2012 9:12 PM BST
florida pearl never went over hurdles either.
Report punkha1 October 15, 2012 1:27 AM BST
Limerick does take some jumping though maybe could have picked an easier debut over fences.
Report Arklearkle October 15, 2012 12:07 PM BST
Tbf the horse did not fall!!!!
Report richters October 15, 2012 4:10 PM BST
barry geraghty on twitter to coleman sweeney yes morning....i jumped 7 fences on him fri plenty of scope u taught him well......coleman sweeney to BJG.....if in doubt go long......
Report Shotgun Willy October 15, 2012 8:56 PM BST
They were really racing going to the first, looked to me that both Carberry and Geraghty wanted to make it, flying into the first wasn't ideal
Report kingrat October 15, 2012 9:06 PM BST
1st time over regulation fences.he wont be the ist or the last....so u took a short price,u wont do that again
Report ilikewavingatbuses October 15, 2012 11:26 PM BST

Report kingrat October 16, 2012 2:01 AM BST

Report Arklearkle October 16, 2012 3:51 PM BST
Oh yes they will again and again
Report koikeeper October 16, 2012 8:42 PM BST
ran it in glue like ground at fairyhouse at easter wher it trailed in 8th when first horse beaten, wins a poor bumper at listowel and they send it straight over fences where it falls at the first

Ground not the reason it was beaten, it had sustained a  injury before that race....very rare horses coming from points are impressive in bumpers.
Chasing is its game, unbelievably quick times in its points, winning half the track.
When it unseated, it looked like they were going to the 1st in the national...they were flying, just one of those things...
As for JP making an offer...... no chance, the horse is not for sale &  P Hughes will not part with it......he thinks its the best hes trained!
Report GANT007 October 16, 2012 8:45 PM BST
I wouldn't write this horse of at all......top class point to point form is king.
Report Allduckornodinner October 16, 2012 9:05 PM BST
He won't be sold because no-one would offer Pat Hughes what he thinks he is worth. He has a huge engine and Sunday was a blip. Not the first good horse to fall in Limerick. I remember The Midnight Club doing nearly the same a few years ago there. This horse is capable of going a long way and I hope he proves it in the next few years.
Report wildmanfromborneo October 16, 2012 9:12 PM BST
He won't be sold because he keeps on getting spun.
Report koikeeper October 16, 2012 9:19 PM BST
They have turned down a fair amount for it!
Report wildmanfromborneo October 16, 2012 9:31 PM BST
They are mad to turn anything down this horse has problems.
I respect both Allduckornodinner and Koikeeper and know them to be good judges of point a point horses but too many trainers have rejected him and time is moving on he is rising seven.
Report bobbybocala October 17, 2012 12:22 PM BST
dont mind these pointing prixx.....they think every horse that runs in points is the next pegasus.....the horse isnt worth a shiite......hes heading for 7 years of age......cant jump.....in gammy hands......has never beat a horse......these fellows that go to points wouldnt know their arrse from a hole in the ground.....totally clueless......when first lieutenant turned up in a crap bumper in gowran one day.......they were afraid to back it at evens......when teelin star turned up in a good one......they steamed in to it......
Report ilikewavingatbuses October 17, 2012 7:44 PM BST
have to agree with bobby.

the hype surrounding this horse is some of the worst ive seen.

'could teelin star be the best ever' thread on the main forum for exampleLaugh

apparently they couldve gotten 400k and yet hes won NOTHING, beat nothing, fell at the first in his beginners chase and comfortably beat in a couple of bumpers.

you only get 100k for winning the hennessyCrazy
Report richters October 17, 2012 7:49 PM BST
agree with bobby and ilwab.....time will tell.....
Report ilikewavingatbuses October 17, 2012 7:57 PM BST
yep he will hopefully get his chance to show how good he is but as mentioned 'best ever?' after a couple of points.Crazy
Report kavvie October 17, 2012 9:08 PM BST
if he won sunday he was supposed to be sold for big money.i wouldnt give up on him yet by a long stretch..
Report richters October 17, 2012 9:14 PM BST
are the figures bein touted true iyo kavvie....i certainly wont be rushing to back him again....he runs very keen for my liking.....i hoped to be proved wrong....
Report kavvie October 17, 2012 9:20 PM BST
i just heard that he was sold if he won sun.i backed him, i was in a pub and i didnt heed it til the final circut...no sign of him
Report ilikewavingatbuses October 17, 2012 9:30 PM BST
oh they wanna sell now?

thats enough.
Report richters October 17, 2012 9:34 PM BST
that kind of contradicts jumpings post....they are in it for the right reasons and not to make a quick buck....
Report Bassanio October 18, 2012 9:15 AM BST
They are running around and into every corner trying to sell him as of last week but the last I heard they were still think in terms of 300k+, so any decent offer has been refused, if there were any.

Not in a million years should anyone pay 1/3 of that price.
Report richters November 11, 2012 2:24 PM GMT
oh dear.........where do they go from here?
Report vinnie_roe November 11, 2012 6:58 PM GMT
what is the horse worth now?
Report soapp November 12, 2012 6:11 PM GMT

The bluffers are spending other peoples money..
Report richters October 2, 2013 4:26 PM BST
the teelin bluffers arent and wont be....lol
Report BJG October 2, 2013 4:30 PM BST
Why are they bluffers? They had a horse who won 2 ptps by a distance so why would nt they think they had a nice horse?
Report richters October 2, 2013 4:32 PM BST
thet were still bluffing when it trailed in 8th to the average balnaslow in the salesbumper at fairyhouse and even still at it after it unseated at limerick......
Report by purpose October 2, 2013 4:46 PM BST
I dont think winning a 6&7yo mdn and then beating two 9yos in a winners of one at Lismore is the stuff that dreams are made off.Two 9yos that had managed to win only once in there point career.
Report wildmanfromborneo October 2, 2013 4:50 PM BST
He is a horse with lots of problems but it wasn't a good decision to bring him to Sligo,he hung badly travelling right handed at Fairyhouse and repeated it here on the too tight Sligo track.
Report brain dead jockeys October 2, 2013 7:10 PM BST
anyone think it was 20 stone overweight?
