have they fooooked this horse up.....the biggest hype horse for a while......ran it in glue like ground at fairyhouse at easter wher it trailed in 8th when first horse beaten, wins a poor bumper at listowel and they send it straight over fences where it falls at the first....this could heardly be installing a big pile of confidence in the beast....has the ship sailed with the big money offers for this horse.....i would think so....

That's not what matters. Owners not in it for quick buck. Even if a horse lines up in a grade one it will be worth it for them or most owners. Just relax and see how he will do ;)

i hope im wrong jumping but i would be sceptical about the horse after today....i thought a few runs over hurdles wuda been a better prep rather than the big limerick fences....but thats just my opinion.....

Now would be the perfect time for Jp to step in with an offer Wink

richters, thats easy to say after he's fallen today,Connections obviously think he's an out and out chaser and dont see the point in wasting any time getting him over fences,Remember connections of Joncol done the same, and he wasn't too bad

florida pearl never went over hurdles either.

Limerick does take some jumping though maybe could have picked an easier debut over fences.

They were really racing going to the first, looked to me that both Carberry and Geraghty wanted to make it, flying into the first wasn't ideal

ran it in glue like ground at fairyhouse at easter wher it trailed in 8th when first horse beaten, wins a poor bumper at listowel and they send it straight over fences where it falls at the first

Ground not the reason it was beaten, it had sustained a  injury before that race....very rare horses coming from points are impressive in bumpers.
Chasing is its game, unbelievably quick times in its points, winning half the track.
When it unseated, it looked like they were going to the 1st in the national...they were flying, just one of those things...
As for JP making an offer...... no chance, the horse is not for sale &  P Hughes will not part with it......he thinks its the best hes trained!

I wouldn't write this horse of at all......top class point to point form is king.
By:

He won't be sold because no-one would offer Pat Hughes what he thinks he is worth. He has a huge engine and Sunday was a blip. Not the first good horse to fall in Limerick. I remember The Midnight Club doing nearly the same a few years ago there. This horse is capable of going a long way and I hope he proves it in the next few years.

He won't be sold because he keeps on getting spun.

They have turned down a fair amount for it!

They are mad to turn anything down this horse has problems.
I respect both Allduckornodinner and Koikeeper and know them to be good judges of point a point horses but too many trainers have rejected him and time is moving on he is rising seven.

dont mind these pointing prixx.....they think every horse that runs in points is the next pegasus.....the horse isnt worth a shiite......hes heading for 7 years of age......cant jump.....in gammy hands......has never beat a horse......these fellows that go to points wouldnt know their arrse from a hole in the ground.....totally clueless......when first lieutenant turned up in a crap bumper in gowran one day.......they were afraid to back it at evens......when teelin star turned up in a good one......they steamed in to it......

have to agree with bobby.

the hype surrounding this horse is some of the worst ive seen.

'could teelin star be the best ever' thread on the main forum for exampleLaugh

apparently they couldve gotten 400k and yet hes won NOTHING, beat nothing, fell at the first in his beginners chase and comfortably beat in a couple of bumpers.

you only get 100k for winning the hennessyCrazy

By:

that kind of contradicts jumpings post....they are in it for the right reasons and not to make a quick buck....
By:

When: 18 Oct 12 09:15
They are running around and into every corner trying to sell him as of last week but the last I heard they were still think in terms of 300k+, so any decent offer has been refused, if there were any.

Not in a million years should anyone pay 1/3 of that price.
