I was been a little generous to say the least by suggesting they were stipulations when in fact they were only recommendations from McGoldrick, one a convenient one the other was a genuine concern from McGoldrick, but the lowering of the apprentice claim wouldn't have went down too well with the trainers who employ them for obvious reasons.

Wildman where did you see me slagging off Josephs riding ability?, this is not about whether Joseph can ride or not its all about Irish racings corrupt regulators pandering to one particular groups every calling,the cynical raising of the weights was yet another of the many examples of how the Coolmore tail has been wagging the dog ever since the formation of HRI.

Wildman why did you ignore the genuine arguments I put across in previous posts that scoffed at HRI explanations for the introduction of these totally uneccesary weight changes?.
It was they said "Dehydration" and supposedly a genuine concern for the health of our flat jockeys.
As previously mentioned McGoldricks concern about dehydration centered around young apprentice jockeys, his recommendation for a lowering of the claim from 10 to 7 was so they would ride out their claims a lot quicker so as to minimise the risks and opportunities for wasting.
HRI ignored this genuine concern for the health of the apprentice jockey yet cynically and conveniently introduce changes where health issues and a jockeys ability to do the weight with a great degree of comfort was never an issue, and wildman if as they say its all about health then why can jockeys still ride at 8st4? and just to let you know once again jockeys can still ride in Britain at 7st12 and nobody seems to be unduly perturbed about that?, maybe its because some jockeys particulary women jockeys are genuine lightweights so it broadens their opportunities to avail of rides.

These recent changes introduced to Irish racing not only helped one particular individual enormously but also helps to reinforce the dominance of the bigger and more senior jockeys while discriminating against the younger and genuine lightweight jockeys who have absolutely no problem doing a natural weight, the goalposts were moved to facilitate an individual struggling bigtime to do an unnatural weight.
Brings us back to the supposed health issues again, by upping these weights to facilitate this individual is it not actually detrimental to the health of Joseph O'Brien?, prolonging the chaps agony, its pretty obvious that Joseph is wasting to try and contain his weight, flies in the face once again of the supposed health concerns of HRI doesn't it?.

Look if you upped the weights to 10 stone, guys who had a natural weight of 11st would waste to try and avail of as many rides as possible, its always been the law of the land.
The moral of the story if Joseph can't do the weight, then to put it bluntly thats his tough sh!t so move on, thats what other jockeys with similar problems had to do and nobody was around or powerful enough to move the goalposts for them now were they?.

If you did any research firstly you would know that hows the horse is ridden at Navan and how it was promoted to Oaks favorite on the back of it and even if you did any sort of slight research after the race you would know Kissed broke a bone in her leg and has been retired to Coolmore post race nevermind the fact that any person who knows what there talking about could see that she was lame on her foreleg.

One and a half furlongs out he tried to change his whip, it took him ages and got it tangled in the reins It looked very bad. When he did eventually get it changed the race was over. Poor ride looked very amateurish.

Your telling me John Magnier is disappointed with that return on his colts. He doesnt give a monkeys how the fillys run. He could care less, as long as they are retired safe and sound. But he cares deeply about his COlts and that return is sensational by any estimation for him. He gave Joseph the job knowing full well the risks and potential reward from this partnership.

Joseph makes mistakes as does any person who is 19 years of age but he is far and away the most talented and dedicated horseman for his age and yes he has been brought up with a silver spoon racing wise but look at Spencer/Harrigton/Mullins/Berry/Hughes etc etc he has done far more in his short career than these lads/girls will ever do. He is more well rounded human that most and I reckon could do well in  anything he put his hand too.

The hysteria is completely gone out of control. But i will state the following. Joseph has not done either of the following.

1. He is not an alcholic
2. He doesnt abuse Cocaine
3. And he didn't drop the reins on Giants Causeway in the Breeders Cup Classic!! despite being what age?
