I watched a stream of their game against slovakia while their goal lived a bit of a charmed existence particulary first half their keeper making some fine saves but they do look pretty decent going forward although the 0-4 scoreline flattered them.
All depends on traps tactics if he's a little bit ambitious without throwing caution to wind which is anathema to him anyway I can see both sides scoring, might well turn out to be a nerve wracking night for the Irish supporters, Armenia have to win so their going to have a right go which might leave a few gaps at the back for Ireland to exploit having said that with Keane out we're not exactly flushed with decent strikers, but if the game remains 0-0 going into the last 20 mins you can see trap parking the bus, so many imponderables, both teams to score at around 1/1 money doesn't exactly scream great value. |

never thought i hear myself even think this aloud , never mind put it up on a forum..but is a sad sort of way i wont be saddened if we dont make this finals ..let me rephrase that...i wont get myself in a real downer if we dont make it tonight ....trap has given us a name as a side to beat...nothing more or less....now as a football fan who over a great many years has seen our country go from mediocre to reasonable ..to what i can only discribe as dreadful...for us to grace a european finals playing the type of football rubbish we are now would in my mind set us back years...when trappatoni came along i was delighted...but over the years my enthusiasm has evaporated completely...all i see now is an attitude of stop them..full stop..that to me has been the death of soccer as i know it...i really hope we qualify tonight but if it comes down to it that we dont ..i for one wont be in mourning to long..

Had 3 bets in Cork, 2 of them walked from boxes but had Razldazl Rioga @ 7/1, he won handy. Backed Coolavanny Shine in Shelbourne who ran poor and Menlo Polly @ 6/1 in the last which was nice, was overpriced i thought.

As a soccer man,I have been disappointed with the abscence of entertainment that the national team now provide under Trap,I wouldn't go tonight for that very reason,I couldn't even continue watching the Andorra game,it was such poor entertainment.
Where do we go,do we provide entertainment and not qualify or bore everybody to death and not qualify? |

Most people hate betting against the result they want to see with their heart. They want to be able to win with their heart and their pocket. It doesn't bother me |
