a very unfriendly punter card tonight imo...the opening maiden looks just that open...i shall have a look at them in the paddock first then decide if i'll have a bet ...the one that interests me in the second is chiefness...now i know thats not very original , but if the customary aob improvement is evident then it must have a big chance....maybe a little e/w velesgo and finally the 8.30.a dire maiden if ever there was one ,looks between hudson and mullngar ..i think i'll be in the mullingar camp ...i know this lad was very backward and should enough improvement in him to take this... good luck all punters....
Acushladear in the 7.30 was unlucky in Fairyhouse when Heffernan the clown couldnt do the simple thing and move to the outside and win by 3L. He had to switch inside a wall of horses and get no run before switching outside again and being beaten by 1 1/2 L. She has a bad draw and the step back in trip probably wont be in her favour.
East of Tara is my Fancy in the last race.

I have seen it all now, wonky the paddock inspector relaying back his notes to the forum live from the track.I'd say wonky couldn't tell you if Gary Wiltshire needed a run. This is baldrick from blackadder,or the bird o donnell from the field, that's the kind of character we are dealing with,The big question would be ,could he find the parade ring?

Race 2) Lady Wingshot This filly ran a stormer on showcase Derby Day against the colts and will have learnt from that. 2 pts at 5/4 to 2/1 or 3 pts evens or under. No bet Shorter or longer.
Race 4) Jambalaya This one won for young Cronin who was having his first winner ever over the CD LTO. Young Whelan will more than offset the penalty and is worth a 0.5 bet each way between 4/1 and 8/1. No bet shorter or longer.
If the ground is soft stakes to be halved or no bet.

Huddy, I get more money out of the placepot than the jackot.
At Bellewstown I got €80 for my €7 on Saturday and €30 for my €5 on Sunday. I haven't got a jackpot all year. Mind you I keep stakes small. Under a tenner.

Going now after the second race; good to yielding......was originally given as good..good to firm.....track officials clueless and costing punters money.....

I see some poster was critical of the stall handlers the other night in Roscommon. It would be difficult to disagree with him after the display of ineptness before the second race tonight. For a race to be delayed for 9 mins because of two horses is farcical.

someone lost a fortune on the last race..joe eile backed all the way down to 1.01.never looked a winner at any stage...mistook the colours with the winner..id saty it cost the backer at least 8 grand..

the first race ...bolgers was a randy as a rabbit ....you can forget its run there....the winner looked very well as did the 2nd and third...which i backed he looked like a horse that knew his job first time up...he raced up the far rail which was not the place to be all evening....he will find it hard to reverse placings with the 2 in front of him imo...the 2nd race i'm ashamed to say i was stuffing my face and only caught them on the way down to post ..so have no opinion how they looked in ring...some people thought the fav had got back up....backed littlemans horse in the sprint ..the less said about that the better..loads of punters not happy with the ride heffo give the 2nd....backed eagle canyon in the next and to be fair to the jock thought he gave it every chance....finally backed mullingar went to back it and remembered huddys had asked me to have a look at hudson when i got back it had gone from 13/8 to 5/4 ....here goes huddys , light framed horse he sweated up behind the saddle but ran as well as could be expected in the circumstances imo...hope that helps...

Why would you increase your bet if the price shortened? Surely the better price commands a bigger bet and not the other way around?

Very disappinted by Cocozza. Ran fresh but didn`t look straightforward. Very good effort at the weights by Mutahadee. Should have a good future that one. You would have to think that Alanza is going to be group class when stepped up in trip.
