a very unfriendly punter card tonight imo...the opening maiden looks just that open...i shall have a look at them in the paddock first then decide if i'll have a bet ...the one that interests me in the second is chiefness...now i know thats not very original , but if the customary aob improvement is evident then it must have a big chance....maybe a little e/w velesgo and finally the 8.30.a dire maiden if ever there was one ,looks between hudson and mullngar ..i think i'll be in the mullingar camp ...i know this lad was very backward and should enough improvement in him to take this...
good luck all punters....

Acushladear in the 7.30 was unlucky in Fairyhouse when Heffernan the clown couldnt do the simple thing and move to the outside and win by 3L.  He had to switch inside a wall of horses and get no run before switching outside again and being beaten by 1 1/2 L.  She has a bad draw and the step back in trip probably wont be in her favour.

East of Tara is my Fancy in the last race.

I have seen it all now, wonky the paddock inspector relaying back his notes to the forum live from the track.I'd say wonky couldn't tell you if Gary Wiltshire needed a run. This is baldrick from blackadder,or the bird o donnell from the field, that's the kind of character we are dealing with,The big question would be ,could he find the parade ring?

Two for tonight

Race 2) Lady Wingshot This filly ran a stormer on showcase Derby Day against the colts and will have learnt from that. 2 pts at 5/4 to 2/1 or 3 pts evens or under. No bet Shorter or longer.

Race 4) Jambalaya This one won for young Cronin who was having his first winner ever over the CD LTO. Young Whelan will more than offset the penalty and is worth a 0.5 bet each way between 4/1 and 8/1. No bet shorter or longer.

If the ground is soft stakes to be halved or no bet.

Huddy, I get more money out of the placepot than the jackot.

At Bellewstown I got €80 for my €7  on Saturday and €30 for my €5 on Sunday.
I haven't got a jackpot all year. Mind you I keep stakes small. Under a tenner.

When: 06 Jul 11 18:52
ye soapp do the placepot all the time aswell, usually in ireland if a few hot pots get beaten they can pay huge, pity it dont know what units are going on the runners in the 3rd 4th and 5th race on totesport for the irish meetings,

Going now after the second race; good to yielding......was originally given as good..good to firm.....track officials clueless and costing punters money.....

I see some poster was critical of the stall handlers the other night in Roscommon. It would be difficult to disagree with him after the display of ineptness before the second race tonight. For a race to be delayed for 9 mins because of two horses is farcical.
