plenty of clubs oncluding yours and mine owe the revenue a fortune, workrider
not on the same scale as Anglo or the developers mindya |

By:
Wr will never accept his beloved club was blessed to not be wound up in 2005.
By:
Why was it not wound up?.
By:
giant only a fool would not accept that we were lucky not to be wound up....bohs this year are a more recent example would you say...the thing is giant , our supporter did what was unheard of in irish sport and took over our club ...look at the result....cupwinkcook ,the revenue took the view that it was the right thing to do at the time ..we are eternally gratefull let me tell you....

Judge took pity on them. Left their creditors up the creek instead.

By:
Giant Strides......that's bad form....Lot's of that going on at the moment........families are being destroyed over companies allowed to go bust.
By:
i noticed you haven't made a comment on that video i put up for you ..or would watching it blow your argument out of the water ...or maybe you're just to bitter ...?
By:
Workrider just a correction mate our fans have run the club since 1987 or 88, so not only not not unheard of in Irish sport not not unheard of in the League of Ireland if that makes sense.
![]() Gant it's impossible not to fall in ove with the beautiful game my friend ![]() |

Well at least you nailed your colours to the mast rocketfingers...........The standard was awful but it's nice to fans enjoying themselves...the staff on the train were offered danger money by all accounts.........I did enjoy the cheesey disco songs coming from the little stand.........the language was awful and now I understand why these games are played at 7.45 or 8.00 in the evenings.
By:
Basically GANT, if it had happened 4 years later they would have been wound up like Cork were.
Wr. My laptop turns itself off if I watch any long videos on You tube so I`m not doing it now when I`m trying to make a few quid! Thanks all the same. |
By:
well just go to the final 2 mins then ..i'm sure you'll enjoy it ....
By:
Giant strides..........and some on here called the bohs fans "the runaways"....interesting.
By:
Gant the standard is not awful, Seamus Coleman has gone across and pretty much straight away has slotted into to top half prem level, Keith Fahy the same and Brian Murphy the ex Bohs keeper was number 1 at the tractor boys until injury. The intensity is great in the games they have shown on tv of late some great tackling great passion.
By:
Seamus Coleman is improving leaps and bounds but I'm sure a professional set up like Everton might have something to do with that......Coleman and Moyes both can't be wrong............One thing I will say is the fai have got it spot on avoiding clashes with other sports.
By:
Oh no doubt he has improved but the fact they threw him in straight away would bear testament to the professional setup and the league in general we have at home. Same can be said of Kevin doyle, Noel Hunt, Shane Long, Steve Jones, Paddy McCourt, Niall McGinn, Dave McCalister to name but a few. I think soon we will see Robbie Keane Duff etc etc wanting to finish their career in the league while still in their prime.

Giant Strides, the only week of the season last year Bohs weren't over the 65% rule was the last. Any other club would've faced automatic relegation. Taxes were unpaid most of the season yet Bohs managed to get a their monthly tax clearance cert no problem. Two or three datse that players were supposed to be paid their monies owed came and went without Bohs being punished by the FAI. Even now Bohs backroom staff haven't been paid for 3 weeks and the FAI turn a blind eye. You say Rovers left their creditors 'up the creek'. What about Bohs players who only got half of their money they were owed and were then accused of being 'greedy bastards' by the majority of gypo fans?
By:
Distortion of the facts from a Rovers fan, as per usual.
You don`t get a tax clearance cert unless you pay the revenue, believe it or not! Huge revelation that. As I`ve stated numerous times before. Not once before the end of play last season were any Bohs players owed one red cent. Get your facts straight or don`t bother wasting my time! You get your false tales straight from the same old propaganda machine. ROVERS FANS ARE OBSESSED WITH BOHS. ![]() |
By:
The 4 rovers fans on here seem to be besotted by Bohemians........You are correct Giant Strides about the tax clearance cert........maybe MJK thinks the fai hand them out.
By:
Good stuff Gant, you should stick to the Bogball and reading Tom Humphries. Giant, you failed to mention the 65% that you know I'm right about. I personally know 2 Bohs players who told me during last season that they were owed money at different stages of the season. Hopefully that'll be fact enough for you. The only propaganda machine was your board and the idiot members who followed them like sheep, verbally abusing the minority of members who could actually tell the wood from the trees.
By:
Fair enough MJK ....but you can't get a tax clearance cert if your affairs aint in order..........I never read Tom Humphries.
By:
Gant, on re reading my original post I've got to put my hands up on my wording of the tax issue. You're dead right re tax clearance cert. Rumours at the time were circulating that the FAI paid Bohs on future prize money in order to clear their tax bill.

OBSESSED.
