McGeady played fairly OK tonight, one of our better players, definitely the most creative and dangerous player we had. We have enough workhorses in the team to cover for  Mcgeady losing the odd ball trying something positive.

He doesn't lose the odd ball- he loses every ball. Duff and Hunt can't get fit quick enough.

The Icchantika those were not deemed to be penalties so you are wrong, thats fact mate check it up, you're totally wrong. Whelan is a joke and tonight he deserved to be slated for that shambolic performance instead Green was hung out to dry as it easier to slate he young lad who's not born here. Green was slated and yes he was poor but he was a long way ahead of Whelan who offers little to nothing. I would not have a problem with McGeady not tracking back as such if he could do it at the other end but he can't well not for Ireland anyway. I seen him play for Spartak a few times and i thought he looked very good, maybe the way Ireland play does not suit but opinion is he is probably overrated.

The Icchantika - you don't need your head examined if you want to play 21st century football. 4-4-2 is dead. Spain even with their fantastic attacking quality play 1 up front.. holland the same.

this will at least give us the possibility of keeping the ball, and are movement and passing will be so much better.

I thought our captain was terrible tonight.

Rocket, Paul Green is no "young lad", he's a 27 year old journeyman. We have a 19 yr old young lad of unlimited potential sitting at home due to trap's stubborness whos playing well week in week out in the premiership

Well i meant he was younger than me daradasi Laugh

Ok my bad i did not mean 'he' was a young lad but granted i can see how it could confuse those of extreme limited intellect like your good self. Anyway my point was he gets way more stick than Whelan got tonight but yet Whelan was devoid of anything remotely near football.

If you loook back Daza i do champion McCarthy's case, it's a joke that he is not even in the squad. I am far from impressed with Trap after tonight.

Had a feeling once we played someone our midfield would be exposed. The two are just not good enough. Trap is set in his ways. Need to change it. If you set up not to lose then your asking for trouble. The thing is we can play football (as shown against france) but Trap wants to play a certain way.

The same old cliche being wheeled out again. France are terrible. They did their absolute best to lose against Ireland that night and we still couldnt take advantage. A terrible formline.

They were not penalties but they were acts of desperation and Titus Bramble style calamatious defending. He needs to improve.

I can never understand criticism of Robbie Keane by Irish fans. The man has 45 goals for his country.

With the squad we have, we are best served by 442. Ideally this would feature Hunt and Duff on the wings. Doyle and Keane are both untouchable, and we should pray that neither picks up an injury because the cupboard is most definitely bare when you look for striking options beyond those 2.

              WHELAN      GREEN (zzzz)

          Nothing is coming from midfield.

             Keane         Doyle

Gibson played well against bayern munich when utd played 3 in central midfield.

My 2 cents worth. We have to be real here we are an average team. Our midfield was abysmal last nite. Whealen didn't turn up n green isn't related to a footballer. Kilbane never was never will be a full back. He's past it aswell IMO. Second goal why is tucked in so much he knows mcgeady not goin to track back. Mcgeady only looked half decent to me as I tawt the Russian right back was so poor. John o shea seriously needs to start doing things quicker too. He took an age to throw the ball at times last nite. Tuesday nite will tell a lot it will be same again I think.

Gibson is an average player who is flattered when playing amongst Scholes, Nani, etc....
