I am going to this on Sunday. It seems to be priced up about right. Conditions won't be great on the day and it will be another big ask of Finga after a tough week for Fingal, so I predicy The Bit O Red by an odd goal.
Maestro, you sir are a Galoot, it is not up to you to decide what is appropriate to post and when it is appropriate on this forum, if you not interested in the subject of a thread then you ought not to post in it. Charging in to a thread and abusing people shows a complete lack of manners, tact and civility. It is no wonder I lost interest in the international team compelled as I was to associate with self regarding ignoramuses like yourself.

Been a Sligo fan since I went to see them vs Dundalk in 1974 whilst on holiday.
Only ever seen them play live about 5 times since, but itching to watch the final.
Guys, anyone got a link for this?Been a Sligo fan since I went to see them vs Dundalk in 1974 whilst on holiday.Only ever seen them play live about 5 times since, but itching to watch the final.
all things being equal, not much between the sides
preference for Sligo, will be betting in-running
could follow Fingal's recent pattern of scoreless early with the goals coming second half

Fancy Fingal here . Playing very well and the busy end to season could actually be a help as most of the Sligo players have'nt played for 3 weeks. First goal will be important , Liam Buckley likes to play cagey 1st half and have a go 2nd half . Possibly Draw/Fingal the bet .

Think Damo is talking through his ring. Could nearly have a separate Damo watch thread.
I'll do it then.Great play by Fingal there. Good value at 5/2 IR.Think Damo is talking through his ring. Could nearly have a separate Damo watch thread.
Disgrace that this trash is on national television on a Sunday evening.I think i would prefer to watch Willie Wonkas Chocolate factory than watching two pub teams playing football in front of about 1000 people.

Thankfully we were saved extra time.Well done to the crowd in white with about 235 supporters. Two things i noticed and firstly i must congratulate Hamilton for making this torture exciting as it cant have been easy, and secondly does anybody outside Dublin play this trash.

why rte try to force this league of ireland crapp down our throats is inhumane...just cos george porgie is obcessed with this league ..from what i can see every team is made up of dublin gougers who spit every five seconds...

I have never cursed on this forum ... but you are a f -*-*-*ing disgrace and should be ashamed of yourselves for those comments ..
This was a great game of football played in incredibly bad conditions and a credit to both teams .. I am a Sligoman .. but I applaud Sporting Fingal and Liam Buckley for a magnificient achievement.

Well said. The conditions weren't conducive to good football. Sligo were desperately unlucky not to get at least extra time from the game.
2 sucker punches.
Plenty of football in Sligo I'm sure they'll come back for more next season.
:-)

unless youd a financail interest or are from sligo or one of the hundred sporting fingal supporters nobody gives a toss about todays match...fine if it was a good match but why rte are showing this league night and day when 99 % of the population have no interest....

Thought it was a good spectacle despite the awful conditions.
Something about Fingal doesnt sit easy with me. A bit like Dublin City, its not really an organic club in terms of its growth.
But fair play they took their goals well when it mattered.
Very unlucky to Sligo.
.....People like timberman are set in their ways but i would say if you don't have something constructive to say, just grumble to yourself and let the rest of the world live their lives.

Your players get paid?.. clubs cant sem to pay the wages you speak of..clubs cant even pay their buses for gods sake...nothing wrong with not getting paid and playing for your club or county....league of ireland might be better than i make it out to be but its largely a dublin thing which is where yoiur from but in the south, north & west theres very little interest and you attacking the gaa wont change that...off to the pub now so no need to be bad mouthing gaa all night..

Unlike you Workrider most people have better things to do than sit looking at a screen all night waiting to see if someone will respond to one of your semi literate posts. You don't get out very much I'd say.

If you watche RTE sport later on listen out for the match reports with clips of the goals and the RTE reporter (160 per house in the State) getting it wrong telling us how "Owen Coyle" scores Sligos 1st goal. At least it sounded like "Owen Coyle" when I heard it, intend recording the clip after the 9pm news if the station uses it again.

Bayly looks to have a lot of ability. However I thought he was just throwing shapes for much of the match yesterday.
Looks like a good venue for cup finals there, atmosphere came across well on the tv. What was the attendance?

decent game in my opinion, stunning finish to it. Very hard on the sligo lads. Losing Cretaro was a blow as poor old blinkhorn wasnt at the races today really.
what was rico at with his ''fingal county'' nonsense throughout the first half??!

workrider 22 Nov 19:01 what sort of crowds do the gaa get in places like manorhamilton ffs ,
Ehmm, I'd be careful with that one if I was you workrider, as far as I know Manorhamilton were in the Leitrim County Final this year - anyone know the attendance? Maybe the last gaa match for Manorhamilton had a bigger crowd the the National soccer final after all!!!
I spent time up there in the nineties and still know people there. Big soccer town in those days, in fact still is, I think did well in FAI Junior Cup last year - lot of under age teams for a small town (big catchment area though as far as I remember).
But anyway I wouldnt start comparing small town (village ) gaa teams with national sporting events, otherwise someone would compare Manorhamilton (Rangers??) attendance with the All Ireland.

Neither a Gaa or Soccer man, watched match as from Fingal, I thought the 2nd half was excellent particularly given conditions, penalty award was marginal and Fingal player would never have gotten to ball anyway. Others who watched with me thought it was a good spectacle so certainly wouldn't agree with those who think it was rubbish.
