Our country is playing one of its biggest games in years in an hour and you talking about this rubbish at least wait until after
By:
I wasn't talking about the rubbish who are playing France tonight I was talking about the Cup Final.
By:
Will do well to match the drama of last year.
I would say Sligo will have the backing of 98% of other supporters. |
By:
Conditions alone may decide we don't see a classic.
By:
The conditions for the last 5 Cup finals have been terrible.
By:
I have been at a few and all except one it rained.

Maestro, you sir are a Galoot, it is not up to you to decide what is appropriate to post and when it is appropriate on this forum, if you not interested in the subject of a thread then you ought not to post in it. Charging in to a thread and abusing people shows a complete lack of manners, tact and civility. It is no wonder I lost interest in the international team compelled as I was to associate with self regarding ignoramuses like yourself.

Read my previous thread

^Maestro, I think you mean read my previous post, I have read your posts in this tread in their sub literate entirety. Now if you are quite finished offending me and the English language take please your unwelcome contributions elsewhere.

^Before anyone starts that was a typo.

Anybody going have any opinions?
By:
Guys, anyone got a link for this?
Been a Sligo fan since I went to see them vs Dundalk in 1974 whilst on holiday. Only ever seen them play live about 5 times since, but itching to watch the final. |
By:
Live on RTE, might be on the website www.rte.ie
but it might be restricted to the R of I |
By:
Hard to weigh up as fatigue could affect Fingal
all things being equal, not much between the sides preference for Sligo, will be betting in-running could follow Fingal's recent pattern of scoreless early with the goals coming second half |
By:
To all who are attending, enjoy your day. Hope it stays dry and makes for a good game. Sligo would be worthy winners given their passage through.
By:
Fancy Fingal here . Playing very well and the busy end to season could actually be a help as most of the Sligo players have'nt played for 3 weeks. First goal will be important , Liam Buckley likes to play cagey 1st half and have a go 2nd half . Possibly Draw/Fingal the bet .
By:
why is overs so unfancied here?
By:
dunno but id fancy a few goals in this.
By:
any inplay market? doesn't look likely
By:
Found myself a link
http://www.rte.ie/live/index.html |
By:
After havin a bit on Fingal @ 9/4 ir with PP
Fair enough price imo |
By:
why no IR here?
By:
I'll do it then.
Great play by Fingal there. Good value at 5/2 IR. Think Damo is talking through his ring. Could nearly have a separate Damo watch thread. |
By:
Dubious free for Sligo. Ball cleared. Mayhem in the box.
Actually its on the web check it out yoursleves. Come on Fingal. |
By:
Blox. 1-0 Sligo Doyle. 5/2 looks a bit short now for Fingal. :(
By:
Disgrace that this isn't in-play. Betfair are a joke
By:
Disgrace that this trash is on national television on a Sunday evening.I think i would prefer to watch Willie Wonkas Chocolate factory than watching two pub teams playing football in front of about 1000 people.
By:
Disaster ! I blame George Hamilton. Hes at every socer game I care about and its always the soccer equivalent of the Towering Inferno
By:
Thankfully we were saved extra time.Well done to the crowd in white with about 235 supporters.
Two things i noticed and firstly i must congratulate Hamilton for making this torture exciting as it cant have been easy, and secondly does anybody outside Dublin play this trash. |
By:
Sligo maybe
By:
I wholeheartedly second Galway's comments.
By:
why rte try to force this league of ireland crapp down our throats is inhumane...just cos george porgie is obcessed with this league ..from what i can see every team is made up of dublin gougers who spit every five seconds...
By:
must all be travellers timberman.
Not a bad standard given the weather today. Profitable. :-) |
By:
To Timberman, Allez and Galway59 ...
I have never cursed on this forum ... but you are a f -*-*-*ing disgrace and should be ashamed of yourselves for those comments .. This was a great game of football played in incredibly bad conditions and a credit to both teams .. I am a Sligoman .. but I applaud Sporting Fingal and Liam Buckley for a magnificient achievement. |
By:
Well said. The conditions weren't conducive to good football. Sligo were desperately unlucky not to get at least extra time from the game.
2 sucker punches. Plenty of football in Sligo I'm sure they'll come back for more next season. :-) |
By:
unless youd a financail interest or are from sligo or one of the hundred sporting fingal supporters nobody gives a toss about todays match...fine if it was a good match but why rte are showing this league night and day when 99 % of the population have no interest....
By:
here we go again the gaa nanderthals are out in force :) 99% of pop have no interest in it :) the most played game in ireland ffs. go back to your caves ffs , or come into the real world , when did the whole world media ever highlight a gga match ffs.no lads its worse your getting ,the old backword thinking from the gaa neanderthals .nearly forgot :)
By:
Thought it was a good spectacle despite the awful conditions.
Something about Fingal doesnt sit easy with me. A bit like Dublin City, its not really an organic club in terms of its growth. But fair play they took their goals well when it mattered. Very unlucky to Sligo. .....People like timberman are set in their ways but i would say if you don't have something constructive to say, just grumble to yourself and let the rest of the world live their lives. |
