This looks another shocking renewal, and bookmakers have already had a result with the 8 reduced to 7.
Caballo De Mar should be a class above, but do you really want to take 11/8 about a horse who has appeared to be going backwards. At his best he should be odds on against a bunch of handicappers. I took a risk on Ascending, but that was at 20/1 with three places. I wouldn't be at all interested at the revised terms. He has several questions to answer himself - ground, distance, and step up in class.

Now another chunky Rule 4 in the Flying Childers as well.
Winday rated 97 has not taken advantage of a good handicap mark before this. 4/1 so not a major punt.
Worst ever field I can remember for this race..it was bad enough before O'Brien pulled his out..I wouldn't say the St Leger is that great either..
Caballo De Mar runs his race, goes off odds on, and wins easily. Ascending doesn't look to stay, and weakens into third. Lovely.
